Salsa and chips are ehhhhh. We were not greeted by anyone upon entering and the waiter did not meet us with a smile. He just said, «drink?» Establishment appears clean, furniture in good shape. Our table was wobbly. Tacos are fresh with light crunchy shells, plates are VERY hot. Enchiladas, rice and beans are the best I’ve had in Huntsville(been here 53 years). Food served speedily. No one checked on us during our meal. However the food was good and we wanted for nothing. So, this was inconsequential. When we were finished and ready for a Togo box the waiter showed up. Didn’t have to ask. Would have given the place 5 stars had we been greeted better, gave us a salsa carry out and prepared out doggie bag. Brought check in timely manner and overall a good experience.

We stopped here on the drive between Houston and Dallas, and all I can say is WOW. Literally everything was great, from the salsa, to the rice and beans and the tacos al pastor. Don’t let the dive atmosphere turn you away, everything was superb and the price was unbeatable

This is the best Mexican place! We have lived in Huntsville for 8 years and eat here all the time. Super friendly people, great food and it’s super fast… and very reasonable on price. Free ice cream for desert too. Nice big place with lots of seating. Locals favorite place. Stop by for some great food and friendly service, you’ll see all the locals!

Only Mexican restaurant in town that we will eat at. Cheap prices, great food, and they treat us like family.

Apparently there was a previous location over on Hiway 45 that burned down. This review is for the new location on Hiway 30 in the back of the strip center across the street from the main Post Office. Unilocal has this listed as Mexican food and it is not. This is Tex-Mex. When ordering I asked if they used queso fresco or any type of white Mexican cheese. The waitress went and got someone from the kitchen, appearing as a manager and he came to our table and confirmed that no they do not use Mexican style cheese. I then asked«So this is Tex-Mex?» He said yes. There’s a college town that I spend a lot of time in where you can’t locate a good quality green enchilada. Sadly not here either. I don’t know what is so difficult about making a proper green sauce with tomatillo but this area of Texas just doesn’t get it. The Pastor tacos however were wicked awesome and some of the best I have found outside of taco trucks in this region. They were served on a single tortilla which tends to break so they should have had two tortillas. They were very fresh, hot and came served exactly like I ordered with just onions and cilantro. The waitress had asked if I wanted tomatoes(thus proving this is Tex-Mex) and thank goodness they did not have tomatoes on them which do not belong on any Mexican tacos, only Tex-Mex. The atmosphere was cozy, smiling staff and what appeared to be large groups of families. Oh and I guess I should mention that our visit was on Christmas eve when a lot of other places were closed. The restaurant has a large amount of seating. While it looks pretty questionable from outside when you enter you go though a cute little store. There’s a full bar area which is separated from the main dining room and tons of cool décor. Massive contrast with the outside appearance when arriving. I would eat here again. Liked it.
