It was like they’d never served food to human beings before. Waited for at least an hour for our food, steaks weren’t grilled to order, and two identical orders had different ingredients(blue cheese on one but not the other). Portion sizes were ridiculously small. Go to one of the other many restaurants nearby.

A nice alternative for drinks and a light bite. We’ve come here w friends to relax and enjoy convo after a late movie. Seating was quick yet bringing our drinks and apps out to us were at a snails pace even when it wasn’t a busy night. Can’t imagine if we were starving and ordered entrees. :/Nevertheless, the drinks & apps were decent, despite the wait time. If you’re looking for a quiet lounge, this might be a place to consider. If you want fast service, there are other options nearby, but sadly not here. 2.5 stars

Had the breakfast buffet here because it was included in the rate. Well the wait staff was a bit inattentive but warm when you do get their attention. There is a made to order omelette station that serves the standard fare. The buffet itself has bacon, sausage, mini-pancakes, biscuit, gravy, grits, oatmeal, yogurt, fruits, cereals, pastries, all the typical breakfast items you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. First the food was lukewarm to cold, which makes the biscuit and gravy disgusting. The gravy tasted like Elmer’s glue with no flavor whatsoever. The bacon and sausage were decent, but how hard is it to mess it up? Fruits were fresh, and I didn’t touch the pastry or bread as they look like they’ve there since Bush was our president. Pretty sure the food temperature would not pass the health dept inspection. Coffee? Revolting! It was not even warm, when asked if I could have a fresh pot, the waitress said that’s hot off the burner. Seriously? I’ve had a better breakfast at a Hampton Inn(and that’s free).

I have been coming to the grill for two days straight now and even when they are not busy,(which is most of the time) it still takes the waiters 15 or more minutes of you standing at the seating part of the bar to notice that you want to get a table. Then when a lovely couple come up and stand right beside you YOUGETPUSHEDBACKANDSKIPPEDOVER while you get to wait another 15 glorious minutes watching the two people who just cut in front of you sit down, relax and order their first entrée. I mean COMEON! You are standing literally in front of the cash registrar! Then you get sat. Once you get to your table the waiter then asks you for your drink they suddenly disappear in to thin air and do not appear for another 15 to 20 minutes. They aren’t sitting people, they’re not at the bar serving the drinks. They just disappear. End of story. Then when you finally spot them and tug them off to the side they ask you«Will you be having lunch?». Are you freaking serious? I didn’t just wait 30 minutes to sit in one of your fancy chairs when I could sit in the lobby! Anyway after ordering(finally) and waiting for another 30 minutes just for them to cook some chips, fish, and crème brûlée your order arrives. 16 $ for 3 medium pieces of fried fish that you could have gone to long john silvers and got for 5.99 $, a handful of French fries and a spit equivalent of sauce. Oh and the crème brûlée is as high as your finger and the perimeter is the same as the bottom of your glass. Then it’s time to pay the check, if it ever arrives. Yes I almost waited an hour for the check, thinking poorly that they would come back an actually check up on their customers. Pft, that ones on me! The food was fast food grade and surely not worth 16 freaking dollars. The buffet is a joke and it doesn’t look like it’s regularly updated either. If you want food go somewheres else, they don’t care, their food is mediocre at best and the price is insulting to the human mind.

Love the Pork Wings!, One of the new items on the menu. As always, great service. Ribeye is ok, not the best, but acceptable. Beats Connor’s in price and taste, minus the noise & wait. Now, I found a place to dine when in town! Good job, keep it up! Advise they consider dropping the prices to draw patrons.

I’m surprised to learn Sage Grill is considered Mediterranean(from the Westin hotel web site). We ate here right after it opened several years ago and were underwhelemed then and we attributed it to the fact that it was a new establishment. The experience was as if the wait staff was overwhelmed and the food was underwheming. There is nothing new or innovative about the menu and it is locate in a brand new(well, a few years old, now)(and the only Westin) in Huntsville. It’s an open concept restaurant in the lobby of the Westin Hotel. And it has a free-standing bar. The space is clean, modern, spacious, and attractive. Restrooms are superclean and plentiful. When my(previous) boss came into town and stayed at the Westin, he had one meal at Sage and reported it was«terrible» and he and his wife dined in other restaurants in Bridge Street. I’ve stopped in for a quick glass of wine/appetizer several times after appointments at Blue Med in the area, and on these occasions I’ve enjoyed Sage. It’s cozy, the lounge staff is fairly attentive and friendly and the food comes out quickly. I would recommend Sage for a quick cocktail/glass of wine and maybe the crab cake appetizer at the bar. And if you like sports there is at least one TV in the small bar area. But, I would definitely not recommend committing yourself to an entire meal here. Just west of Sage within walking distance is one of my favorite restaurants in HSV, which is Watercress and Connor’s and others are in the same complex.

I’ve been coming here off and on over the past year and I have to say the food is pretty decent. It’s the perfect place if you are looking for a quick, quiet meal without the drama associated with some of the other similarly priced restaurants at Bridgestreet(hour wait for Connor’s or Cantina Laredo, no thank you). The seafood risotto(it’s listed under appetizer but it’s enough for an entrée if you pair it with a salad) and tuna sandwich are some of my favorite dishes here. Plus, the bartenders are always friendly and service fast.
