The Draft Bar

Only bar in this area that I’ve seen with a decent beer selection. Much better than Smokin Jozee’s in that regard! Their drink specials are also pretty good. The food was good, and the wait staff was attentive — along with some attractive waitresses. What I mark it down for are a smokey atmosphere and a lack of a decent parking lot.

This place should not bother to serve food. The draft tasted awful and the one I wanted was out, so what’s the point? Back to the food, The burger ordered was as hard as a hockey puck. The waitress never bothered to come around. Had to ask for her to come back. Ate the charred wonder because I was starving. Asked for a discount, missing in action waitress returns saying. «Unfortunately since you ate the burger there is no evidence.» So no discount. I will not be coming back here again make sure you do the same.

After a night of playing bingo and winning a couple hands the owner tried to recoup his losses by trying to charge everyone at the table more than they should have. He told me to get all my loser friends out of his bar before he called the cops. Go anywhere in town BUT here if you know what’s good for you!!! Lousy management and lousy food and staff!

By far the best beer selection in town. They will even get the Saint Arnold’s Divine Reserve on tap here and keep it for a while when its out of stock everywhere else. The burgers and wings here are amazing. They have strawberry habanero wings that are just as good if not better than the mango habanero you would get from B dubs.

Ppl give this a bad rap, but it’s actually run by ppl that care about their employees. I’ve been in town just over 6 months from Southern California and this is by far one of the finest beer joints around. The girls are nice and friendly, and the owner is just a good business man. (If you have met him in the past and don’t like him it’s because he was dealing with incompetent workers, that’s changed now) it has a new face lift and it works! The kitchen is now run by a good manager (not a crackhead) and the food is way better, but remember it’s a bar!!! The burgers r great and wings r big! Give it a chance and understand ur in a college town and this is a college bar. The only bad thing is that they allow smoking, but ppl come here because of that. During the day it smells fresh and clean. Enjoy a free game of pool with your lovely selection of tasty beers/​cocktails

The food here is alright but it’s over priced. The drinks choices are great. Depending on the waitress you could be waiting anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour for service.

I’m a big fan of UFC and the Draft Bar is one place that I always felt safe going to alone to watch. I now bring friends and even my teens. This is also our go to place when we are craving the best burgers around. It’s clean, safe and has great food. Give it a try.

This place is just OK. If you’re coming here to drink: party on. If you’re coming here to eat: be warned. I get it, it’s a BAR. But if you’re going to offer and serve food, it should at least be decent, right?
A group of us stopped by on a Tue night to drink and grab a bite. We just ordered a few apps: chips & queso, wings and a side salad. The wings were the only thing that we liked. They do have a great Strawberry Habanero wing sauce. But the easiest things to make, AKA chips & queso and a freaking side salad, weren’t great. At all. They give you a ton of chips, but I’d prefer the store bought Tostidos queso over theirs. It hardens up after 2 minutes of being out and then you’re left with no queso and half a bag of chips. We ordered a side of salsa to finish off our queso, but the salsa tasted like jalapeño infused water. Extremely watery but spicy.
The service is also terrible. I’m not sure if our waitress had a bad night, but she obviously wasn’t working for a tip. In the middle of ordering, she turned around and walked to a trash can to throw something away. Nice to know you can multitask, but I want to see how well you can listen to my order. I don’t care if you don’t care that I’m there, but if you want a tip, please act like you care.
Only reason I’m giving 3 stars is for the beer and the beer prices. Like I said, if you’re going to drink: party on my friend, but have low expectations on the food & service.

Absolutely terrible. Avoid the owner because he will inundate you with his bigotry. One goes to a place for decent food, not a lecture on Ferguson.

Classy citizens beware, racism resides within the walls of The Draft Bar.

good beer but awful food.
we ordered queso that was terrible from the start but then we found a hair in it. we asked the waitress to take it all back and then asked for fried pickles. when the pickles got to the table they were so crispy that they were difficult to eat and not enjoyable.
I got a grilled chicken sandwich & the chicken is DEFINITELY cooked straight from the freezer. it was awful. the wings that my boyfriend ordered were not too awesome either .
overall — i wouldn’t waste my money on the food here.

Love this place! I just moved to Huntsville and quickly became a regular due to the beer, decent food, and the staff helping me feel at home. I hate the fact they allow smoking but I can get over that.

Today is the first time I’ve ever been to Huntsville. Being a college town, I knew there had to be at least 1 craft beer spot. I Unilocal’d and nothing came up. On the way to a different place, we passed the Draft Bar.
This is a SOLID for craft beer lovers! Their website calls out 40 taps. I believe it. Plenty of great TX craft and visitors not to mention a full bar.
The food is your typical bar food selection (burgers, fried x, etc) but certainly not ordinary. Everything tasted great. The service rocks louder than the music. Our waiter, Otis, was made sure we had everything we needed!
What else? Pool tables, big outdoor seating, and TV’s everywhere you turn. The only downsides are the restrooms and the amount of parking but I imagine most people walk here and crawl home.
So bring it! You’ll enjoy… and if you don’t, I’m certain the problem was you.

Pros: Great beer selection. appetizers are actually good. Pool tables. Patio Seating. Drink specials change everyday.
Cons: The rest of the menu is pretty bad. Poor service. Dirty Bathrooms. Smoky and loud.
Let’s face it you’re not going to come here for food or good service. You’re just going to come here to drink with your friends. Even then it can still take a pretty long time to actually get your drink order to a table.

I have never been satisfied with this place. Food is ok, service is terrible, loud, dirty, can smoke inside the building. One time it took 45 minutes to get my check after ordering 2 things.

The beer selections are awesome. They have varieties of shots that are yummy. I was disappointed that they didn’t offer more meatless choices on the menu. Definitely bar food (well it is a bar!). I’ve been twice and the first time service was great, the second time it was not. Our waitress used profanity and couldn’t answer my questions about beer. Her main response was «I don’t know»…

Good burgers, decent onion rings, mediocre service. I recommend the kahuna burger. Lots of random drink specials. Good place to go with friends, but kinda loud.

The service is always terrible. If it is even relatively busy, expect your dining experience to take as long as two hours, even if all you want it a burger.
The food has gotten much better recently, but is still not worth dealing with incompetent staff.

I prefer this bar over Humphreys, mainly since I like my beer on tap and they have a good selection. I like the fact that they have pool tables and trivia games. As for the food (it’s a bar!) so quality isn’t spectacular but we just tried the fried pickles – cut into chips not spears (alot better). The bathrooms are similar to humps. The uniforms at draft bar are a bit more revealing than humps (good for college guys I suppose). It still can get loud inside when there’s a bunch of customers. I haven’t sat outside but they do have an outdoor patio for smokers etc.
Will return.

I hadn’t been to this place since it was changed to «The Draft Bar,» but I thought I would still enjoy it sense I loved «Tops and Bottoms.» The service was fine, but the food was absolutely horrible. My dad, my brother, and I all got sick. Will return, but not when business is slow!
