The food is pretty fantastic! I usually get the biscuits and gravy and they are delicious! The service is always pretty good-sometimes it is slower than other times, but overall a pretty good experience. The patio fills up pretty fast on Sunday mornings so be aware of that. The best thing is the watermelon mimosas-they are only $ 2.00 and absolutely fantastic.

Wait staff is mediocre at best. We tried two days in a row. Both days wait for food after we sat down was over an hour and a half for eggs, toast, and bacon. People all around us with similar orders received their food before us. When we finally got our food is was barely warm. Pretty sure pancakes were straight out of a box. Nothing special.

The service needs major improvement, and the food was terrible, there was a hair in my salsa, I ordered a burrito with jalapeño and on the first bite I noticed that the jalapenos were bitter and old from the can, I told the waiter and tryed to order something else, he then told me that they will still have to charge me the burrito that I barely touched(one bite). I got mad and remained hungry for the next 30 minutes after that. He completely ignored us afterwards and considering that I was starving, he couldn’t even give me a refill before we left. So basically I payed $ 8 dollars for a bite from a bad burrito and bad service. Never going there again.

Should’ve listened to the other reviews. We got here at 11:40, didn’t have anyone ask what we wanted to drink or even offer menus until 11:50. Then we didn’t get to order until 12:10. And now it’s 12:46 and the food or server are nowhere to be seen.

Service must be a hit and miss thing here. I got great service when I went, but it was a rainy day and wasn’t that busy either. I got the chicken and waffles and let me just say that it’s delicious and the portion is huge. I don’t exactly remember the price, maybe it was around $ 8 – 9. But they give you 2 – 3 large pieces of chicken and the waffles are ginormous too. I recommend this place on a non-busy day.

Busy place, not at all worth the wait. Waited 15 to have a server greet us. Ordered eggs Benedict and kids French toast. Food was nothing special but was at least priced reasonably.

Really great breakfast spot! They serve large delicious portions at fair prices. Definitely home made and seasoned very well. Will definitely be back to this café!

We have avoided this restaurant bc of bad reviews and experiences. Decided to give them a second chance and we were pleasantly surprised! The mimosas were delicious! The wait staff was so friendly and helpful! My mom and I split the eggs Benedict and they brought it out on separate plates for us! So happy to see this place bringing in business again! It was crowded but our food and drinks came super fast! Keep it up toasted!!! So glad y’all didn’t get burned!

Terrible service. The food wasn’t great and we waited over one hour for it to come out. We waited about 30 minutes before they even took our order! We had to basically help ourselves to refills. They need to hire some more employees or something, the quality of service is NOT acceptable. The only reason they are still afloat is because they are the only local breakfast place in a college town. They would go under with any amount of competition. DONOTEATHERE!

Had breakfast Sunday morning with my family. The place was busy, but not overly crowded. The wait staff was awesome! Very friendly, and on top of things. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. My girls ordered the pancakes which came with fruit on top and a side of eggs and sausage. I got biscuits and gravy and my husband had the chicken fried steak breakfast. We heard no complaints, although I don’t think any of us were able to finish it all! Very yummy! Gets two thumbs up from my family! We will certainly stop in again!

Management needs great improvement, until then employees will not be at standard. far below. Ok the prices are good but the waitress was super rude. Megan(our waitress that has helped us many times before) and the manager were both rude as hell and instead of fixing or solving the problem just got heated and made things worse. On tuesday I ordered a burrito and on Thursday I ordered the same thing. ***IF I ORDERSOMETHINGTWICEITSONLYUNDERSTANDABLETHAT I EXPECTEVERYTHINGTOBETHESAME, IFSOMETHINGCHANGESITISTHEWAITTRESSESJOBTOINFORMTHEGUEST. YOUWORKHERE, NOTTHEGUEST*** Tuesday megan told me to add potatoes it wouldnt be a charge and on Thursday she charged me $ 2 and was rude when I asked for it to be grilled(even though it was grilled on Tuesday) and since I understood it would not be coming like that regularly I asked if I could just request it like that and she rudely said no that they wont grill it. even though it takes 3 mins… If someone orders something it should be the same everytime no matter what(prepared and cost). Then they say that Im not allowed back if they take the $ 2 off for the potatoes. Good thing because me and my friend were just talking about how we would be going to humphreys for now on. Everytime we are here there is a problem with rude waitresses. now I understand why, the problem comes from higher up as well.

I went to a quick lunch with a group of 8 people. We ended up being there for over two hours. The server/our manager failed to apologize for the slow service and said they had a «lunchtime rush.» However, there were only four other people there. When we finally got our food, some of it was not prepared as promised. When we inquired into this issue, the server/our manager failed to properly remedy our issue. Another person was charged extra and when she inquired about it, the manager gave her an attitude. We are not going back here for a very long time. Very disappointing food and most of all poor service and management.

Synopsis: The place is worth a try, decent breakfast/brunch options overall for what’s available in Huntsville. Only other breakfast options are iHop and Denny’s in the Huntsville, TX area. Pros: *Very affordable, I believe the most expensive thing on the menu is catfish and grits and even then that’s on $ 10. *$ 3 Mimosa’s *Wifi available, great place to take care of some business during breakfast/brunch hours. *TV’s to catch up on latest news or sports. Cons: *Slower then usual service both w/the servers and kitchen staff *Tendency to get your order wrong *No host staff, wish there was someone to greet you at the door instead of just standing around looking confused waiting for someone to assist you.

Ok since i have given horrible reviews in the past wanted to say how much better the service was this time. Food was quick and server waited on us. Sweet girl. The eggs were perfect, my biscuit was AMAZING just wish the sausage was a little more done and they had a hotter griddle to cook the the potatoes and veggies. Bell pepper was almost raw. But i like raw veggies so cant complain much, just wasnt what i expected. Will try again. Left almost half the food because soooo much. Great value And tried again. Still amazing food but the kitchen needs to get quicker and more accurate and wait staff needs to pay more attention. Did talk to the manager. She was very kind and helpful. Told her love the food just needs to keep working on customer service and accuracy.

This place is definitely worth a try. I feel they have the potential to become a great place, but still need some work mainly in the service and pace of getting food out to customers. I’ve been here a few times now and the service has been consistently slow. It took us 30 – 40 minutes to get our food today AFTER we ordered. Keep in mind, this was at lunch, which for most Huntsvillians we must get back to work within the hour. The food itself is quite good and fair priced, especially if you’re looking for a big portion of food. You could even split a plate with someone and be happy. Their coffee is quite good as well.

This little hole in a wall is cute but, the service is slow. Food quality very poor! I ordered over easy eggs with potato and sausage. The eggs were hard — way over cooked and the potatoes were undercooked. My wife’s order– fried cat fish with hush puppies. Cat fish was raw and hush puppies were raw. My daughters order– grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. Chicken way over-cooked and mashed potatoes looked and tasted like yesterday’s blinded left over hash browns. Will not be returning!

Service. Fail. My family and I have all been very eager to try Toasted since it opened several weeks ago. Last night we decided to give it a go. Future patrons, beware that you may need to park a block or two away since this is in between Humphrey’s and The Draft Bar, two other inexplicably popular watering holes near campus. Also, while we’re on the subject of location, this building has housed multiple restaurants, all of which have failed within a year or two of opening. An owner or manager should be aware of this and make sure that her service is on point, since there’s no parking to speak of and few tables compared to other restaurants nearby and around town. Back to our visit: I lucked out and snagged a parking spot in the lot, others of our party had to park on 20th street, and another had to park at the old Wendy’s(now a clothing store/bookstore?) on the other side of Humphrey’s. Not ideal, but we knew parking would be an issue, so we dealt with it. We entered the building and began to search for a table. There were empty tables all over, but since we would need to push two together to accommodate our group, we found two adjacent tables close to the bar top and began rearranging. Now the fun began. There were 4 servers that we could see. One was playing on the POS. One was standing, idly chatting with her table. Yet another was wandering the floor, and one was keeping herself busy bringing to-go boxes, refilling drinks, etc. All the servers looked plenty busy. And so we sat and waited for someone to acknowledge our presence. Or even look our way. And we waited. And waited. And waited. Not even an «I’ll be right with you,» or a «Here’s a menu, I’ll be right back.» Nothing for TEN. MINUTES. Needless to say, we were done. We could go spend our money elsewhere and not be ignored. On the way out the door, I stopped by the bar top where the servers had congregated, and asked one if we were supposed to have come and requested a server. She was clearly confused. I told her that we were sitting and waiting and watching servers walk by and no one said a word to us. She offered a half-apology. In hindsight, I should have complained to a manager, but it was unclear whether there was one in the building. Service fail, Toasted. We may try again, but maybe once the new has worn off.

Good food, good price, decently good service. This place specializes in breakfast foods, so I decided to go with the chicken and waffles. They were quite good for $ 10 and it was a healthy serving of food, but they forgot to bring the honey sriracha sauce until I had eaten about 1⁄3 of my food. I also decided to try the fried pickles, and I was quite impressed. They were $ 6 for a large portion(probably enough for 3 – 4 to share) and were hot and fresh. I recommend this place if you are in Huntsville and I’m looking forward to trying something else off the menu. I’m close to giving it a five, but I’d have to give it another go before I commit to that!
