The Home Depot

Wow! How unprofessional. I work for a local developer as a project manager. We relied on home depot for all the little odds and ends needed to finish our houses and commercial properties. I personally used Them for the houses that I remodel. This accounted for countless thousands of dollars in business. All this ended when a cashier decided interject herself into a conversation I was having with an old friend. She seemed to be under the delusion that something shady must be happening. After she threatened to call security on us I reached the end of my patience. The store manager apologized and told me that the cashier tended to be overzealous at times. I told her who I was and that home depot had lost my, and my employers business forever. To this day I have not set foot In a home depot and NEVER will. There are Lowes locations near every home depot. Shop there like I do. They appreciate the business and don’t threaten their customers.

Home Depot is normally not my go to place but I must say they have come in handy the last few days.
To be honest I normally hit up ACE, I don’t know why it is just where I go — it is overpriced but I just know where everything is. A few days ago I learned that I needed something at about 10PM that I needed by 7AM the next day. I though I was SOL but there was Home Depot open at 6AM! I got there right at 6AM and they were actually already open with people inside shopping. I thought my clock was set wrong or something but I guess that it just how it is.
They had exactly what I needed; some odd sized screws, some buggies, zip-​ties, a few washers, a specific sized nut, and some electrical tape. I picked all of these things up in under 10 minutes and I was on my way to the check out. I passed by the Leatherman section and I was thinking about picking one up but realized that it was way too early to getting into the differences between Leatherman specs and tools.
On top of it all the staff was extremely friendly, pointed me in the right direction for what I needed and cracked some jokes while I was checking out. While I am in town Home Depot will get my business and will get yours if you need something at 6AM.

Stopped shopping there when they went to the self-​checkout. They never work.

Don’t go to this store! I was told by the store associates to pull up to the door to pick up a grill. While they were getting the grill ready to put in my car I received a parking ticket! When I requested to talk to the manager he refused to speak to me. When I went back in later to talk to him about it, he again refused to talk to me. The worst customer service I’ve ever had!!!
