I always get coupons for Flippin Pizza in the mail, so I finally decided to give them a try. The food is just OKAY. The location directly behind college dorms is perfect because this is definitely cheap college food. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, pepperoni bites and BBQ chicken. The chicken was the best of the three. The pizza is so thin, that as soon as it’s no longer hot it’s extremely hard. The pepperoni bites are literally just crescent rolls with pepperoni rolled in the inside.
If it was the only thing open late at night, I would eat there again. Other than that, I won’t be back any time soon.

I admit that I successfully convinced my husband to try this Flippin Pizza restaurant in Hyattsville, Maryland due to the fact that I found the pizza tasty at the Silver Spring Flippin pizza location. I like that as with the Silver Spring location that this Flippin Pizza location allows the value meal option for both pizza and soda. I chose a scrumptious sliceof the whitestone pizza which comes with fresh basil, garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta.

Best New York style pizza I’ve found in the 5 years I’ve been in the area and reasonably priced. Not sure why the other reviews are so low, but I’ve traveled to New York quite a bit and you really can’t beat it!

I ordered and they didn’t show. They said they delivered an hour before I called to check!?? To who? The ghost I live with? Offered refund, yeah!!! Never again. First time/​Last time
Updated: They called back and re-​sent the order a few days later. Kudos for the follow up. The pizza was not my favorite however.
Update #2. Ordered a pizza last Thursday and I’m still waiting for it. I know what time they will be here, 9:30 — 9:40, just not which day. Avoid this place, you have about 50⁄50 chance of your food actually arriving.

Great staff. Easy place to get pizza it’s right across from the movie theatre. My only complaint is the pizza it self isn’t that good. I’m a big pizza fan and I wasn’t impressed at all. Good deals. But food taste wasn’t for me.
–tomato sauce was very bland

I’m not sure if some of the fellow reviewers are eating at the same place I have been. I’ve ordered from this place a few times now, even recommending it to friends in the area who are also picky on pizza. Not a single complaint from any of us. Next time I definitely need to try one of the white pies!

Awful — overpriced & a vegetarian family nightmare!
I ORDERED —
~ A cheese pizza and Mediterranean salad — special instructions included ! No onions, No feta!
I was DELIVERED —
~ A greasy, SAUSAGE pizza with burnt crust.
~ Mediterranean salad WITH onions and feta on it!
I called the restaurant, the management wasn’t a bit helpful nor concerned.
Never again will I order from this «restaurant «
My dog isn’t vegetarian so he ate a few pieces of sausage from pizza —
His stomach wasn’t impressed to say the least.

This was my second time ordering pizza from Flippin. Frankly the first time, it seemed pretty decent but this time, what an embarrassment!
Opening the box of pizza in front of my guests was a total embarrassment.
The entire pizza was thrown in the corner of the box. Seemed like the box was thrown here and there multiple times. The middle part was uncooked and mushy. Needless to mention that there was some sort of soupy juice covering the bottom of the box.
What a waste! Had to toss it all. We are heading out to eat.

Great thin crispy crust, tasty sauce and fresh toppings. We ordered and the counter and waited to bring it home where it was still piping hot. We were able to use the 50% off coupon from Giant, but would definitely be willing to pay full price as well. Excited for this pizza addition to the area.

Worst experience. I would recommend against ordering delivery from Flippin Pizza. Ordered a pizza at 6:30 pm via grub hub. Confirmed order with them by phone shortly after. At 8 PM we called to check on our order. We were told it would be another hour. This was in addition to the fact that they were out of salad and when we called the first time they told us they were out of bacon, which was our pizza topping.

So I placed my order for delivery at 6:30pm. I received a call at 7:30pm stating that they do not deliver individual pizza «slices»…although it was listed on the delivery app AND I met the $ 15 delivery minimum [my order: 3 slices, 2 pizza rolls, and 8 piece wings]. I basically just waited an hour for them to call back to say we can’t deliver. I was also given the excuse that they were very busy and could not get to my order sooner to give me a heads up… in reference to the hour or so notification.
Very upset and disappointed… long work day, still starving, and all I wanted to do was eat take out on my cheat day. When trying to support a new business goes wrong… :-/​
I suggest to Flippin Pizza that you work with EAT24 on menu items that cannot be delivered to potential consumers.

The place just opened. The Pizza is good. A little too thin a crust for me, and not enough sauce. I don’t need it to be dripping with pizza, marinara sauce. But, for the lack of thickness in the crust, it could use some sauce lovin’. The pizza itself is served by select-​a-​style. They have an already established ordering guide for their pizzas. Some catchy name titles for them too. The slices are not huge (read: NY normal style) by any means. Not small either. Perfect sizing. But, really it’s just some good ol pizza, nice crisp crust and fresh. Plenty of topping options and other added pizza fair to boot.

I’m thrilled Flippin Pizza has finally come to PG County. Ordered Artichoke Pie delivery tonight and pizza arrived on time in University Park. Same great sauce and crispy crust as Bethesda and other locations. Flippin Pizza now rivals Slices in College Park as best pizza in area.
