I always enjoy when I look up a business on Unilocal and I get to look at the reviews to see how a business rates among locals and travelers. Upon reviewing this business I was excited to have a beer and some sushi possibly. The business stated on Google and on the sign posted on the entry door that it closes at 10:00 pm. Upon arrival at 9:15 pm and I must add I did travel over an hour to review this place that I am informed that they decided to close 45 mins ago. Which means they closed at 8:30 pm and that technically means they closed 1.5 hours early! When I asked why they were closed already when it was not 10:00 pm and only after 9:00 pm I am told its what they wanted to do. I pressed on and asked if they closed 45 mins ago why would they keep the open sign on and not lock the entry door? The response I get is raised shoulders and hands in the air with no verbal answer. As for my response I explained this was the first time I have been told about closing early and refused service. As I began to exit I am told by this gentleman well I guess you can have a beer if I want to stay. This is clear that they were not officially closed and that the staff wanted to go home regardless of what the owner probably had in mind when they posted official business hours online. Make sure to see picture for this review. Not impressed with this place. Too bad too as there is an amazing view of the falls. Too bad the service is not as amazing.

What a unique spot. I’ve been to a lot of breweries, but I have to say this is the first brewery/burger joint/pizzeria/deli/sushi bar I’ve ever seen. Quite the interesting combination. Anyway, this place really impressed me. On my visit a 7 beer sampler was $ 7. And oh no, these aren’t the sissy samples you see elsewhere. These are big old, 4 – 5 ounce pours, most of which are 6 – 10 percenters(ABV). I felt like I had drank 3 – 4 beers after my sampler! And I probably did. What a deal. The beer was really solid, and so was the food. I went with the nachos, which can be risky, but these guys have it right by using real cheese and doing a good job spreading them out over the plate. If you’re in Idaho Falls and like beer at all, this is a place you absolutely have to check out.

We ate here with our adult children for dinner. I had fish and chips and their Imperial stout. Excellent. Others had lobster tail and roasted chicken. They were busy but the service was attentive and reasonably fast. Overall great experience and we will be back.

Good food and nice atmosphere. I was driving through town, so I couldn’t sample the local brews, but the Caribu Jack Root Beer was stellar!

Had the stuffed jalapeño app and it wasn’t overly impressive or spicy. My husband had the pulled pork burrito, which was tasty, although there wasn’t a need to deep fry to burrito. I had the yakisoba, and wasn’t something I will be craving anytime soon. Not a lot of sauce or flavor, although the veggies were cooked very well. Atmosphere and service were great!

The brew sampler was great! 8 different beers for $ 8. I was satisfied with all the types, and we ended up buying a growler of barley wine. The kids menu was $ 5.99 per plate and our daughter ate a corn dog-and actually finished it-which means it must’ve been good. Plenty of fries. My husband and I split a Snow Eagle burger, and we both got really full. It was a decent burger– a little on the expensive side($ 13.50), but each of our plates had a full serving of fries, which was cool. The restaurant was clean, bathrooms were clean and smelled great. The service was good as well. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. We went at about noon and there weren’t too many people there. Quick service. They have crayons and high chairs, etc. In front of the restaurant is a beautiful waterfall setting. Good choice if you’re passing through. Pretty average experience.

Beer was ok. Service was ok. Food… Ordered French onion soup, the bartender prepared it behind the bar, using a mechanic grade blow torch to melt the cheese. Isn’t this usually done in an oven or broiler? Or at least in the kitchen? Also ordered the pear and walnut salad. Presentation was good, but was missing the walnuts? Pears were a bit over ripe. Dressing was good. This place has a great space, hopefully they can get the food and beer to go with it.

We did the 2 mile riverside walk at dusk, and there was this brewery. We had the blackened albacore sandwich and the Double R reaches steak and local baked potato, of course. First class. I like my beer with no hop taste. Had the cream ale and the ginger blonde. Perfect. Owner is a delight. Brought over the house wasabi dressing to try. Tasty. Parker provided great service. Good grill sports bar atmosphere. Try it.

An American Japanese fusion restaurant, this place has not let me down yet in the flavor dept. They make several in house sauces and brews that are absolute knockouts. If you haven’t been here yet, no now. No regrets.

The Kobe hamburger was everything I wanted it to be. $ 3.50 more than your normal $ 10 pub burger. It is well worth the difference. I didn’t want to subdue the taste with any type of sauce, however, their snow eagle sauce looks like ketchup but has a great sweet taste with a touch of kick from horseradish. It was good for the fries. They should given more fries. Otherwise the burger was perfect.

Avoid at all cost!!! Walked is said hello to the woman at the hostess stand. No greeting. All she said was so there’s three of you, then walked off to a table. She wasn’t nice, not once. Very slow service. We were three of six people in the place and it took 15 min to place our food order. Then our food sat in the window for quite a while before being picked up and brought out. Scotch strong ale was pretty darn good. Very smoky balanced well with a bit of hoppiness. We ordered two different burgers. Frozen preformed patties, extremely tasteless. I’m going to say worst burger I’ve ever had. Fries were hot, soggy, and floppy. Christmas décor still up, fake flower arrangements, Japanese screen, and fake bamboo tree; all covered in cob webs. Very disgusting to look up and see this and all the dust above where you eat.

We walked from our hotel on Lindsay along the Greenbelt to the Falls. We met some nice firemen doing water training at the Falls. We asked for a place we could sit outside with our dog to have a beer. They directed us across the street to this wonderful little pub. Our server Amy was very friendly and helpful in making a selection. We had their IPA ale which was very good along with a Thai Salmon salad and a pear walnut salad with grilled chicken. Several locals came by while we sat there & told us this was a great place to eat.

Let’s get one thing straight: I had no interest in ever making a Unilocal account. Until today. Because of this meal. First things first: I’m not a drinker, for the main reason that I’m still underage, but also because it’s never really appealed to me. However my parents have dragged me to breweries all over the country so I’m used to eating at these places. In other words, this is a review solely on the meal — so for all of those thinking they’re getting any slack because of the alcohol had best stop now. The best part of the meal? The water. Because it allowed me to cleanse my palate of the food. The worst. Well. I can’t completely decide. Here’s what’s tied for first: — The Onion Rings. My dad, knowing that I absolutely love onion rings, gave me one of his. I took a bite, and gave it back to him — because perhaps sharing isn’t always caring. Not when the onion rings are powdery, greasy, tasteless wheels that bring shame to the onion ring family as a whole. — The Yakisoba. This is the meal that I got. The noodles were uninspiring, with little taste. My vegetables: cold. The rice was obviously for sushi and the best part of the food itself was the soy sauce that obviously was not actually from in-house. — The Hawaiian Shrimp — to be fair, I only ate the pineapple after my brother’s insistence that is tasted awful. And he was completely correct. The scary thing? It didn’t really taste like a pineapple. It had a slight flavoring, but other than that it just a tasteless heap in the mouth that made toes curl. Perhaps it was cut a year ago? All I know is that it wasn’t fresh and it wasn’t canned. Because even a canned pineapple would taste decent compared to that. I’m a college student, I’ve gotten used to eating less than optimal meals at the dorm cafeteria. But I would gladly take any food they serve ANYDAY over anything that Snow Eagle Brewing And Grill could possibly serve.

After arriving in Idaho, my friends and I decided to stop for some food before making the drive to Jackson Wy. We ended up at Snow Eagle. Let me start by saying, for bar food, this was expensive. Secondly, I thought it was odd that they had bar food and sushi/Japanese food. They did have a wide selection of beers(one that was called ‘beaver dick,’ now that’s questionable, lol) and they allowed me to taste a couple before deciding. I ended up with a saison, which was alright. For food, I ended up getting their version of jalapeño poppers which were recommended by the waiter. There were 4 large poppers in the order that were supposed to be filled with all kinds of bad for you stuff like sausage and cheese… well, they were filled with some very unappetizing looking gray sludge. The taste? Better than the look, but nothing special. Would I go back? probably not.

Had the Kobe burger, was yummy and juicy. The server, Levi, was friendly and funny. They had a nice selection of beer and it was nice that they weren’t all super hoppy(as this seems to be the current trend in craft beers). This was a nice diversion on a long road trip!

Had the Blue Shroom Burger, a great blue cheese and sauté mushroom hamburger. The Floor View Imperial IPA is amazing. I sat at the bar, as it was Monday night, and the service was great. Besides from the normal pub food, they have a sushi bar and serve Japanese dishes. Will have to try on another visit. A must try is bear the Snake River area of Idaho Falls.

The good, the bad, and the odd. The good: The beer was great. Immediately when you walk in you’ll see the large fermenters in the room adjacent to the dining area. I opted to try the«Beaver Dick Brown» and the«Snow Eagle Pale Ale». Both were fine examples of their styles, especially the brown ale. The setting is also nice in a large industrial, brick space with lots of room. This place has a lot of potential. And solely because of the beer, I’m giving it a three. The bad: My service was poor. The waiter was friendly, but he forgot my appetizer. He didn’t charge me, so I didn’t complain, but that shouldn’t happen. Also, he was more focused on his work writing up the large specials board in colorful marker than waiting on me. The appetizer I asked for and didn’t receive was the«Italian Stuffed Grenades» Last, some of the food was unsatisfactory. I had the minestrone soup and the roast beef sandwich, which was a special. The sandwich was fine, although the beef had a rubbery cheapness to it, like it was frozen and heated. The soup was poor. All of the vegetables were soggy from siting in a heated pot all day. And it lacked flavor. Finally, the odd: I don’t understand why this restaurant sells sushi. It would be better if it stuck with what it did well – great microbrewery. But sushi in the middle of Idaho is unappealing. Especially when the regular pub fare lacks quality. Time and resources should go into making the restaurant consistent rather than having a split persona.

In addition to the microbrewery and pub food is the Japanese cuisine and the Wasabi sushi bar. I had the fish and chips, which was delicious and the beers were very good. I liked that they also make an in house root beer which is different.
