I love the Snakebite! The ambiance is fun and unique and the food is delicious! My husband and I like to make it a regular date night spot!

My family and I went there and it was pretty packed, but they got us in quickly. The wine/service and food was excellent! We will be return customers!

Really neat place in the heart of Idaho Falls. I was very pleased with the environment and thought it a great place to spend catching up with friends. The food was good, especially the burgers and fries.

I’ve been to Snakebite several times over the years, and the experience is hit or miss. With the exception of their fish tacos, which I really like, I have yet to order any seafood there that I would want to repeat(Coconut prawns have great potential with a nice dipping sauce;but often are way over-fried; Eagle Rock Mussels are in a decent chili broth, but the flavor gets very monotonous – not much dimension to it; I felt the same way about their Seafood hot pot). Now if you want a great burger, you’re in luck! Every burger on the menu is tasty. But I have no idea why people rave about their fries – they’re nothing special and I have to admit that it bugs me to no end that they charge extra if you actually want fry sauce on your fries! Come on, Snakebite – it’s stinking fry sauce, not caviar – don’t nickel and dime your patrons. In sum, if you’re in the mood for a burger, or want to swing by for a solid lunch, Snakebite is a good bet, but if you want to be guaranteed a top-notch dinner(esp. seafood), there are better(not many, but a few!) options in Idaho Falls.

The food here is amazing, I would recommend the Teton Burger and the fish tacos. The staff could be a little friendlier but they aren’t rude. They also only accept cash, those are my only complaints.

My fiancé and I split a Teton burger, it was good but not as good as what most people said. The waffle fries were awesome though. The fry sauce was a little weird and for a little cup they charge you where every where else doesnt. It was around 1230 when we got there and had to wait about 10 minutes no biggie but they have no where for you to wait so a bunch of us were huddled around the door and blocked people coming in or out. The wait staff was really nice though.

Would be five stars if they accepted cards. Cash only and you charge a fee at the in-house ATM? Who does that? Aside from that, this is the most consistently good food in Idaho Falls, period. Fish tacos are killer. Burgers are great.

Highly Overrated! I live in IF and have dined here a couple times. It is only ok, the food is decent the service average. However, after a terrible experience in the service related part of my experience tonight, I will never come here again and warn others to do the same. I call it the FRYSAUCE incident. I ordered a burger and when the server asked if I wanted FRYSAUCE I said sure(bc who wouldn’t want FRYSAUCE with their fries). Having not read the fine print and the server not informing me I had no idea it was $ 1 extra. Again, $ 1 for a tiny cup of condiment complimentary everywhere else in the world with burger and fries. Upon seeing the bill and the added charge I was told it was non negotiable and the manager confirmed as well. Even after explaining I was a local and had frequented this business before, there was still no way I was getting a complimentary condiment. Now I know this is only $ 1, but the principle behind a non-complimentary mix of ketchup/mayo is just ridiculous. Not to mention a loss of business for a returning customer. Please save yourself a terrible service experience and don’t come. It’s also only cash only and closes at 9 pm even on a Friday and Saturday despite great downtown location.

Sitting here now, wishing I’d picked somewhere else to eat. Service is average, place is cash only(sorry, but if you sell steaks and bottles of wine, upgrade to a credit card machine, it’s 2015), the restaurant is freezing cold, my salad is so-so, but what really ticked me is that I wanted the fish tacos, but with vegetables on the side, had no problem paying extra for this, but was told no because it’s «policy.» Come on.

Despite being cash only, the service was the best I experienced in Idaho Falls. The food was superb. Every member of our five person party agreed it was the best food we had as well.

Now this is more like it Idaho Falls! Told the horror story of going to dinner the evening before, and the people I work with recommended the Snake Bite… I’m so glad they did! The place was very busy on my 11:45am arrival, but there was still seating available. The waiter was fast/friendly, and I ordered a cup of chowder, salmon salad, and an order of waffle fries(is Idaho heaven or what?) The fries came out first and were fantastic($ 7.00). The chowder was good, but the pesto baguette was great to dunk with($ 3.95). Finally the salad($ 15.95) was perfect with Cajun seasoning and an incredible sun-dried tomato balsamic vinaigrette. All said and done I was in/out in under 30-minutes for around $ 35… NOTE: This is a cash/check only place(no stars deducted though!)

Snakebite serves great food but with a hipster attitude that in today’s world is somewhat pretentious. This can be seen in their only acceptance of check or cash(seriously get with the times and eradicate checks). The waitstaff appears to be enjoying their job and I found them to be attentive but would have liked to see more personality when being served.

Honestly, I wasn’t that impressed. This is definitely not the best restaurant in town like some people claim. And on top of it the owners are way too cheap for me to want to give them my money. No credit cards? Ok. Paper napkins?! Okayy??? PAYING $ 1FOR A SIDEOFSAUCE after paying extra for fries?! Wtf!!? The food was flavorful but nothing special. The best thing of the night was the fries. My mom and I devoured them. $ 7 for fries is a little extreme but they were fancy and a big plate so at least there’s that. We also got the lobster and seafood ravioli. The sauce was watery. It was good but I’ve had much better. I was bummed because that dish was why we wanted to go. We love lobster ravioli. And we got the shrimp tacos with the«famous» salad. The salad was absolutely nothing special. It didn’t even have dressing in some places. The cranberry relish was good though. The shrimp taco was better with the lime. They were better then the ravioli but honestly the fries were still better. They had good flavor but I live in Southern California so it’s unrealistic to thing they’d be able to compare to fresh seafood tacos in Cali. They were ok, but nothing to write home about. We were really shocked because the second we sat down our waiter asked what we were going to order within a minute of us being sat. So it didn’t start off on a great foot, but as the dinner went on he became nicer and less rushed – maybe he was overwhelmed with the volume of tables he had. The hostess was super nice.

We chose SnakeBite after traveling out of Yellowstone. We were there on a Thursday evening about 8 pm with no reservations and were seated immediately. I ordered the Teton Burger with their special salad, which had cranberries and a balsamic dressing. The burger was delicious, the salad was outstanding and I was glad I chose it over the regular house or Caesar salads that are so common. Far and above any meal I have eaten lately, I must say that my husband’s choice of the Osso Bucco will go down in our dining travels as one of the most extraordinary meals of all our travels… Of all time. It is seriously that good and I would recommend it to anybody looking for that special something that is not always easy to find. Based on everyone else’s comments about chocolate cake, we were sure to get a piece to take back to our hotel room. Oh… My my my… it is huge and delicious! Most likely we won’t be traveling this way again any time soon, but if we ever do, this place will forever be on one our«I’d love to go there again» list. Between our party of four, we also had the fries and dipping sauce, and the clam chowder, both excellent. Take cash, they don’t accept cards. And the bathroom is just a single unisex bathroom, but the crowd was minimal the night we went, so it wasn’t a problem for us.

Saw on many sites that in Idaho falls, snake bite is a must try. From California, we were on our way from Utah to Wyoming and decided to make a pit-stop. Sure glad we did! Tried their grand Teton burger which is what they’re known for and the burger was cooked perfectly medium rare! Juicy and flavorful. Also has quite a few beers available to pair with your burger. We also had the clam chowder which was also listed as a «must try» — very tasty! A little more watery than I would have liked but the flavor was plentiful. Customer service was awesome — we had the sweetest waitress :)

i stumbled across this place pretty much my first day in town and decided to try it. It’s cash only, and I didn’t have much on me, so I just ordered clam chowder and a Scotch Ale. Wow! The soup was amazing. Very flavorful(thanks to the help of our good friend, bacon), hot, and fresh. But that’s not all! They included a slice of bread with a smear of pesto on it. I’m not normally a big fan of bread, or pesto for that matter, but clearly they wanted me to combine this with the clam chowder, so I gave it a try. Bam! Flavor central. This place would be five stars if they took debit/credit cards.

We found about this place on Unilocal and also a friend of ours from from Idaho Falls told us to come here. We were somewhat dissapointed. We asked for a beer list and were told to just look on the blackboard on the wall. So we chose a beer. Then they brought the beer/wine list and we saw they had a beer flight that we would have rather ordered had we known about it. They wouldn’t return the beer they had already brought out. We ordered the salmon cakes, which were tasty but luke warm. We split the grand Teton burger which was supposed to come with avacados but they forgot it. The ambience was modern and clean, and the wait staff was attentive.

I’ve been here 4 or 5 times. I’m still not sure what all the hype is about, I’ve tried a different item each time I go and haven’t been wow’d by any of them. The service is hit and miss. It’s 1.9% to run cards through Amazon’s card processing application. IT’S 2014!!! GET A DAMNCARDPROCESSOR!!! If you insist on not being up with the times, then we might as well start bartering. Perhaps a nice hand made quilt is worth 2 hamburgers and a small woven basket(great for holding little trinkets or maybe even loose change) is worth a pie. This place isn’t bad, just don’t expect it to be the best place you’ve ever eaten in Idaho Falls. On a positive note, they have great fry sauce!
