McDonalds in Independence Missouri was very accommodating, especially Kim the manager. Great service. During our groups visit, she made sure everyone had the food they needed. Very friendly and hospitable.

Good sized restaurant, with a fairly open floor plan. Generally seems clean. Immediately off of the freeway(I-70), to the south — just up over the hill and on the west side of Noland Road. Also, right next to Krispy Kreme! Dinner and dessert. Yes. Yes, I’m proud of my guilty pleasures. I’ve been here a number of times going into, and out of KC. Staff are generally friendly and ‘professional’.

Being vegetarian, for the most part, McDonalds only comes in handy when I don’t have much money in my wallet, or I want ice cream. McDonald’s ice cream is a great way to cheat on a diet. Let’s get this straight, I don;t eat beef, but will eat fish, but not every day… I don’t explain it, and that is that. lol… Erin is exactly right… pesto, whatever, it’s more complicated than this review. The location, on Noland Road kind of across the street from Wendy’s, gives one a choice. This McDonalds hasn’t messed up my order yet.(They cringe when they see me, I’m sure…“Cheeseburger plain, and fish sandwich plain.”) My son and I both eat our sandwich plain. I don’t eat beef, so I order fish. To which they then ask, «do you want ketchup and mustard on that?» «No, plain, nothing on it.» «Tarter sauce?,» «No, plain on the fish, tarter sauce is disgusting.» «Cheese on that fish?» «meh, plain. Nothing.» «So nothing on it?» «Yep, nothing, just plain.» By then they understand. Happens every single time. But they don’t screw it up. Sometimes we have to go to the waiting area at the drive through, or step aside if we order it inside. One thing about this is, everything is hot. Their French fries are amazing. Hot sizzling French fries, in the bag, you can feel their freshly cooked heat. The ice cream is really good, one of my favorites soft serve… but they need to keep nut topping stocked, so they don’t tell people, «We don’t have nuts.» Honestly, there’s times I want to embarrass my 19 year old son, and tell the guy at the counter, «Yeah you do.» This McDonald’s never has nuts. I don’t understand why they don’t have nuts. I like their sundaes, and I would fork up a quarter for a bag of nuts, even, if they had them. I don’t care for their shakes at all. They are disgusting. I guess I’m giving them three stars cause as of yet, they’ve not figured out what«plain» means, and they don’t have nuts. Hey McDonald’s, get the nuts, and educate your staff on «plain» sandwiches, and you’ll get a 4 rating.
