Very nice and clean Resturant. Quite. The menu is very large. Nice salad bar and great side dishes. Nice place to have dinner. Server was great. We will be back.

You know, i just really like this place. The ambiance is clean with slightly muted lighting which gives a calming affect, almost like, «Welcome, you’re home, lets eat.» The quality of clientele around us is reserved, often over 50 and knows how to conduct themselves in public. Of all the times I’ve been to this Ruby Tuesday, there have never been unruly kids or publicly loud adults. The food is very consistent with plate presentations artfully done. The servers, though seemingly different every time, are very well trained and this restaurant must have a good manager since the teamwork is smooth running. The salad bar is stocked and lovely to look at and fresh. We eat here maybe 7 – 10 times a year. It’s never disappointing.

Used to be good, but has consistently been going downhill. We used to stop by here about once a month, but now we avoid the place. The salad bar selection has dwindled. The service has gotten worse. The food quality has gone down. To top it all off the prices have gone up.

My family was celebrating last night, and we decided to come to Ruby Tuesday because the wait at Red Lobster was an hour. We still ended up waiting once we got here, and a bit longer than we were told to expect, but there were four adults and two babies so I understand it takes time to free up a table to accomodate everyone. The interior was suprisingly sophisticated, and this place started feeling less like a back-up plan and more like a lucky last-minute idea. We ordered the shrimp fondue as a starter, and it was delicious! I would have liked more chips with the order, because there was a poor chip-to-dip ratio, but it tasted amazing even still. My grilled salmon came with two sides and I chose the salad bar and white cheddar mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing. We also ordered the strawberry sangria to share. I rarely drink and couldn’t tell you what goes into a sangria, but it was so sweet and delicious that I drank probably a pitcher by myself and wobbled on my way out. Our server was kind and funny and kept up with all of our crazy requests(and cranky babies) and earned his tip completely. And for dessert we ordered cupcakes to go. I have never tried red velvet anything but I loved that cupcake.

I have not been to a Ruby Tuesday’s in years! Mostly because I remember it being horribly disgusting and dirty. This experience could not be more different. The restaurant is very nice! The food is all very good. I would never consider eating from a bar but the salad bar here was very clean and well kept. I would recommend this place!

It has been quite sometime since Hubby and I stopped in at Ruby Tuesday’s in Independence, MO. Today Hubby wanted a burger and I started naming all the places within 10 – 15 minutes of our house that I knew had burgers. We headed to Noland Road &40 Highway. Since our last visit, this restaurant has had a major face lift and I liked what I saw. It has a more upscale look with some warm, cozy colors and nice looking cloth shades on the lighting. The lunch menu has been tweaked and looked different but we turned to the back page and found that Hamburger Sandwiches are still on the menu. Hubby chose a cheeseburger and I gave the Turkey Burger a try. It was a good choice, served on a pretty bun and with crispy french fries. It was cooked very well without being dry and was very tasty. After our iced teas were served, our server brought out a couple of complimentary savory drop biscuits still warm from the oven. Mine was tender and really, REALLY good. I’m favorably impressed with the«new» look and feel and tastes at Ruby Tuesday’s. There were several very interesting and tempting items on the menu including some items listed under Petite Lunch Plates and several cocktails with 150 calories or less. I’m thinking I need to check out some of these so we may just end up there at Tuesday’s a little more often in the future.

I’m giving it 3 stars because I also have long been a big fan of the CROUTONS. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one. I did find the rest of the salad bar quite lacking today. The mushrooms look like mine do when they’ve been in the fridge a week too long, which means they’re at least 2 weeks old. But my trusty, crusty favorites were there! Big save from getting 2 stars! I had the Buffalo Chicken Minis with the salad bar, which also came with fries. Kinda weird… I want the salad bar, please. «You want fries with that?» The Buffalo Chicken Minis were so bland! I can’t believe you can make something«buffalo» and have it be that bland, no kick whatsoever! The décor has been totally revamped. It is now much more open and airy. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. I have to say it gave me pause when I seen all the silver, blue, and white hairdo’s in the place. I’m usually not a fan of a place that the senior crowd finds attractive.

I have always loved Ruby Tuesday restaurants thanks to one item: brown soft/crunchy croutons. Seriously. I go here for the croutons. Ok, let me revisit that. I go for their salad bar, which is perfection thanks to their AMAZING brown, sweet, semi-crunchy but really soft and gooey croutons. Best of all –they taste just as delicious at every RT location. :mouth watering: So, needless to say, I order the Salad Bar her every time I visit. Always fresh in beautiful silver serving trays and bowls, with several kinds of lettuce, toppings, side pasta dishes, fruit, tons of dressings, cheeses, veggies, and of course — croutons. Recently they added Side Dish special — for just and extra dolor you can get 3 side dishes with the unlimited salad bar(the sides are a whole meal in themselves!). I usually get a baked potato, sweet potato fries, or grilled asparagus. My husband loves the deals here, too — including their Sliders, which include the salad bar and fries. Good luck saving room for dessert, but they DO have cupcakes!!! This facility seems brand new and there is a good amount of parking around the building. Lots of TV and plenty of room at the bar. Our waitress, however, was less than par, as she seemed nothing but annoyed with having to wait on our table(even though we were pretty self-sufficient with the salad bar and all). She never smiled, seemed liked she forced herself to check in on us, and never thanked us for our business. At least there were plenty of croutons to fill my love tank.

We hadn’t been to a Ruby Tuesdays in several years. The food was better than I remember it being. The guacamole was very good and served in a very large portion. I had the Boston Blue burger, which is one of their specialties. Blue cheese, and onion ring, BBQ sauce — it was great! Also liked that the burgers come with two sides, not just fries. Our waitress kept bringing soft drink refills to our table which was great! Also, this location had free wifi. All around great experience!

Never thought I’d be one to give Indpendence props for good food and service, but I am here to giving this Ruby Tuesdays some well-deserved love! Tucked between a Dollar Tree and Steak n’ Shake, I wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the sophisicated décor and attentive service. My dad and I dined here around 2PM today(Saturday) because I had a coupon for a free birthday burger. Turns out all the burgers come with 2 sides, and I was able to get those free, as well.($ 10.99 worth of food) The restaurant was dimly lit and the music at the perfect volume. The entire restuarant smelled like steak and potatoes. My dad even commented that the smell kept getting better and better even while walking towards the bathroom.(Granted the kitchen was back there, but still. The restaurant just smelled tasty) I was a tad but disapointed with my burger. The menu said it came with blue cheese crumbles, bar-be-que sauce, and onion rings on top. I assumed«onion rings» meant«crispy fried goodness» but instead I got boring, sliced purple onions instead. Not sure if they forgot the real onion rings or if this is really how the burger comes… either way, the burger was free, so I can’t really complain! Everything about Ruby Tuesday’s was calm, peaceful, and pleasant. Both my dad and I left with smiles on our faces and nothing but superb remarks about our dining experience.

This place is ok. The salad bar is really fresh and typically I get the salad bar with sliders. It helps the sliders slide. Menu items are ok but pricey for independence folk. Not being from Independence I think the drink and food prices are just fine! Service is good if you’re into floating blonde bobble heads dressed in all black. Whenever I think of Ruby Tuesday I envision a women doing a chain whip routine with a sunset background on a beach. God I miss that night in Bolivia.

They seated us in a kind of a cool half booth, half chair table. It was my 89 year old step-dad’s birthday, and he has a hard time stepping out of booths. It was 5;00. There was an appetizer special that you get $ 2.00 off from 4:00 — 6:00. oh by the way, Ruby Tuesday isn’t closed, as I just came from there. They bought us our menus. It’s been about 1 ½ years since I ate there, even though I live in Independence, and it’s a short walk to the restaurant, even shorter drive. I don’t frequent this establishment, preferring others instead. I looked at the prices, and wow, they cost almost 1⁄3rd more than Applebee’s. They have totally changed their menu. My eyes were amazed at how much the food cost. I had looked at it online before leaving, to get an idea, but the prices just popped out at me. Wow! We ordered, and I ordered the Asian dumplings, which happened to have chicken in it. I was ready to totally go vegetarian again. They used to have a veggie burger option, and now the only offerings vegetarian are guacamole, spinach artichoke dip, and veggie sliders.(I guess the veggie sliders used to be the veggie burger.) The rest of the entire menu is laden with beef, seafood, and chicken. The sides,(broccoli, mashed cauliflower, mashed potatoes, etc, would also be considered vegetarian). They have a huge salad bar, but I think it’s shrunk as well as the menu. I don’t care for salad, and didn’t order it. My step dad ordered chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. My mom ordered the petite steak. They brought out garlic cheese rolls. There were 6.(Butter?). Without butter, we had to choke them down. They were good but dry. Then came the food. Asian dumplings have chicken in them, which I knew before I ordered. They tasted good, with spicy sauce. I’m glad I ordered them. My mom said her steak was good as well. They gave my step dad 2 chicken strips, apologizing, saying that they spilled the chicken strips in the fryer, and were bringing out more. I timed them.(smile). By the time I’d eaten 3 dumplings, and my mom, half or more of her steak, they bought out the last two chicken strips. We were practically done. My step dad was done, and wrapped the chicken strips in a napkin for our dogs. It took 6 minutes to get the other two chicken strips to our table. We had a coupon for a free entrée that we had given the waitress before ordering. When receiving the bill, they didn’t take the $ 2.00 off the appetizer(the Asian Dumplings, which were $ 7.99). They had taken the coupon off, but had stapled the receipts wrong, to make it appear, the coupon wasn’t honored. They had to get a manager to honor the $ 2.00 off the appetizers. We paid, and left her a tip. My step dad was kind about the chicken strips and the miscalculated bill. They knew it was his birthday. Don’t they sing happy birthday any more to people at Ruby Tuesdays? Another 2 star dining experience in Independence, MO! It’s becoming the normality. Now does everyone understand why I prefer to eat at restaurants in Westport, Crossroads, and the Plaza, and beyond Independence?

Why am I reviewing Ruby Tuesday? It’s just another restaurant chain like Applebee’s or Chili’s or any of the others. Or is it? Okay, yeah. But I don’t live in a neighborhood where you can walk to some eccentric local deli, or anywhere that serves food for that matter. The closest area that I have a food«selection» is 3-ish mile drive to Independence, and so I decided to grab a quick, kinda cheap(but not fast food quick or cheap) meal from Ruby Tuesday. Plus, they have a salad bar, and I thought I could be a little more health-conscious that day. I hadn’t been there for a long time and they had revamped their menu. Scrumptious seafood! Appetizing appetizers! Fried f – ing everything! $ 8 for a tiny salad bar! No lunch specials! Whoa. I notice that the«revamped» menu is much more expensive, and I can’t find anything at an «Applebee’s price.» Yeah, I’ll spend $ 10 for a sandwich and fries if it’s all local and all super delicious. But if it’s just a sad little burger with some soggy, greasy fries, forget it. And I’m not in the deep-fried mood most of the time, so I order the $ 12.99 cajun shrimp pasta and the boyfriend orders some chicken dish with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The food was what you’d pretty much expect from a chain, but a little worse. The boy asks me to taste his potatoes. Okay. Then, instant regret. He wanted me to try them because he thought they tasted like someone ashed in them. Thanks! I thought they tasted like instant potatoes(which I don’t mind usually) with very spoiled cheese and plastic in them. One of the worst things I’ve eaten in recent memory. Everything else was slightly beneath mediocre, and slightly less than what I expect at a chain restaurant, which is why I write this. A restaurant chain is kind of like hooking up with an ex. People eat there because it’s a comfortable and familiar atmosphere, you always know what you’re getting, and it shouldn’t be too costly(except maybe to your street cred/dignity). It’s not going to taste wonderful or new, but it’s always reliable enough to deliver a necessary amount of satisfaction. My experience at Ruby Tuesday was kind of like hooking up with a random person you meet at a bar who looks like your ex. «Oh, you kind of remind me of someone… wait… why do you have a wart there?»
