As far as Marriotts go, this wasn’t an all-star choice. I travel enough to realize this is owned by the best hotel chain in the world with a ton of prestige. I booked the room through their own Marriott app, yet they couldn’t fulfill the room I booked when I arrived. They were accommodating, and luckily I’m flexible with plans and polite enough to let them change it. The rooms were nice, and while my stay was short, I was kind of disappointed in the breakfast. Orange juice machine was broken, the TV… gone. The breads provided weren’t the best, but I’ll live. By the way, the breakfast assistant sounded just like Aunt Bethany from National Lampoons: Christmas Vacation. I enjoyed that, it was kinda funny to listen to her talk while I ate my breakfast.

Stayed here for 3 nights. No complaints. Very clean. Good breakfast. Lots of restaurants nearby. Easy access to interstate. Good price.

The manager did contact my wife and did what she could to make up for this experience. I was glad that our complaints were taken seriously, and I hope in the future measures are taken to avoid it getting to this point for other people.

I stayed here on business travel and the hotel was okay. It wasn’t anything fancy– no room service, no restaurant on site. The rooms were well kept and clean though. It’s conveniently located near the interstate so travel to downtown was pretty easy and quick. There’s also a slew of restaurants nearby(think: every chain restaurant), making dinner very convenient(i.e., Starbucks, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Crackelbarrel, etc). There’s also a Target located within blocks so if you forget anything, you can make the quick drive across the street to pick anything up. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast in the morning(dry cereal, yogurt, bagels, waffles, etc), but it’s nothing fancy.

I wouldn’t really call this place loud or dirty. It’s a relatively small hotel with 3 floors and maybe 24 rooms per floor. Breakfast was good, and the attendee kept cereals and baked goods freshly stocked. The rooms are very basic but my room had a fridge and microwave. I don’t know if they have them in all rooms, though. The bed is very comfortable for a budget hotel, but the linens do reflect the budget. Kinda scratchy but still comfortable. I don’t know why people come to places like this and expect the ritz. It gets the job done. Sure the walls are kinda thin and there’s kids running around, but come on. If you want a plush hotel experience, head elsewhere. Hotels like this serve a purpose, and this one is no different.
