Stopped at this sub shop for the first time during lunch last week and was pleasantly surprised. Sandwiches were very tasty and had that Jersey oil and vinegar taste of them. The prices aren’t that much different from any other sub shop, this is a place I’ll make additional lunch time stops.

I don’t know why people are hating on this new location. Really? Posting reviews during the opening week? I went to this location for the first time a week ago and it was firing on all eight cylinders. It has only been open a couple months. I got my usual order, #13 Mike’s Way no onions and it was spot on! Plus I don’t have to fight the traffic down 82nd St. to the other location closest to me. These guys are slicing everything fresh per order. If you want something assembled in two minutes go to Jimmy John’s. Frankly the sodium content of their meats(Jimmy Johns) gags me. Mikes is my go-to sandwich shop.

I’ll say for $ 7.50, you could get a way better sub elsewhere. The bread has no flavor at all which essentially ruins the sandwich. My order wasn’t right either and the cook didn’t say sorry or even acknowledge that fact. I won’t be back!

Stopped in for a late lunch(around 2:30) on a Thursday for my first Jersey Mike’s experience. Employees outnumbered patrons, which isn’t uncommon for this time of day. The service was friendly, but nothing over the top. I got the Chipotle cheese steak on wheat, which was pretty spectacular for the price. However, i did NOT find this location to be well-maintained. I settled for the least dirty table in the place and looked around at all of the diner detritus on the floors under the surrounding tables. Let me say that it was not filthy, but it was not as clean as it probably should have been between lunch and dinner rushes, especially considering the staffing levels at the time of my visit. I’ll come back, but I’m hoping that someone in management or ownership promptly addresses the constant need for upkeep that can make or break a fast casual restaurant.

Just to update. The owner reached out to me very quickly yesterday and apologized and offered my a coupon for a sub and asked me to give them another shot… which I will. Other owners could learn a thing or two from Robyn. I love the freshness of Jersey Mike’s and was so excited to see one had opened a stones throw from my office. I had the chance to stop by today since I had an afternoon appointment and was heading back to the office for a 1PM meeting. Sorry to say, due to their slow and inefficient production, I didn’t make it back to my office in time for my meeting. I walked into Jersey Mike’s at 12:34 and I was getting back in my car at 1:03 and yes my order was to go. I realize it was the height of lunch rush, but really? this is what you do. I honestly should have walked out the door and gone to Jimmy John’s down the street which saddens me because I do like Jersey Mike’s over all other sub places. When I finally did get to order, I got the #7 Mike’s way, only to discover when I got back to my office to eat it, that there was no seasoning on my sandwich. I have not yet decided if I will go back to this location since it would be during the work day and I am normally in a hurry to grab a quick sandwich and move on, which NOONE in this store and any sense of urgency even as the line continued to grow.

Owner messaged me and apologized, offered free sandwich coupons, which was nice. I probably s/h waited on the first review until I wasn’t so mad, but as I said in the first review, love the food!

I had been to Jersey Mike’s once before and was not overly impressed. This is a brand new store so there is that in its favor. So it better be clean and smell good. The workers in the store were friendly and greeted us. They were patience as we ordered. They told us about our options and made great looking sandwiches. They made sure to ask if we have a Shore Card and got us signed up. The lady that signed us up explained how the program worked. Now having eaten those tasty subs, we will be back. I had the mini #4 with everything but onions and jalapeño. we also got to sample the cherry pepper relish. Its sweet with a whole lot of kick. They were kind enough to give it to us in a sample cup with plenty to add to our sandwich at home. If you are looking for a better sandwich than subway… Jersey Mike’s the place.

I had never been to a Jersey Mike’s but when one opened up near me, I thought I would try it out. I stopped in during lunch two days after they opened. It was super busy and the line was out the door. They were doing a great job of keeping the line moving and getting food out in a timely manner. I ordered the regular Chipotle Philly Cheese Steak along with chips and a drink. I was a bit surprised by the price. I think I paid around $ 11 for lunch, pricey in my opinion. But I didn’t care because I was hungry and craving something beefy, cheesy and spicy! I got my order to go and when I arrived home, I found that I had been given the wrong sandwich. They had given me the Chicken Philly Cheese Steak. I ate it anyways. I was so disappointed when I dug in and realized that the chicken was dry and there wasn’t much flavor. I’ll give them another shot since they are still working out the kinks and hopefully I will get to raise my rating from ‘A-OK’ to ‘Yay! I’m a fan!’
