Used to go here when it was green garden. Was excited when it became Moca. Sushi is good, Chinese food isn’t that good. Dry rice and the dishes aren’t that tasty.

Today I called Moca to order some food for family that stopped by. The woman over the phone took my order however she was quite rough and rude I ordered over $ 45 worth of meals, when it was time for me to give her my payment information she seemed quite irritated that I took a moment to get my credit card and kept saying«what’s the number??» Repeated twice she kept rushing me and asking me for the number I told her hold on a minute I’m getting my card… she sighed loudly. I became increasingly uncomfortable and decided not go through with the order since her attitude and mannerism was very off-putting and turned me off completely from spending money with the establishment, so I simply hung up. She called back after about 2 minutes, I chose not to get into a discussion or argument with her,(I don’t feel as if anyone there would care about losing a customer) she calls back and says«do you want this order or not!?» I simply replied«you were very rude, no thank you» and hung up. I’ve tried to stay with Moca’s since there are limited choices in the area but this experience left a negative impression on me.

Moca spelled backwards is poop. This place is poop — at least the buffet. But hey you’re paying 12.50 and that’s the going rate for poop these days. Obama can’t save everything. But seriously — don’t. You can do better. It’s just a buffet of Chinese food — the cold kind you ate last week and saved in the back of your fridge for a rainy day.

I have to say, after eating several times from this restaurant, this is officially my last time. To be fair, I used to wonder why they received such a low rating on Unilocal when I was getting tasty dishes in a relatively timely manner. But after a while I noticed a consistent lack of care taken when I placed my orders. There’s a favorite dish of mine that I enjoyed the very first time I got it. It was spicy because it has a good amount of jalapeños and that’s exactly what I liked about it. The second time I ordered this dish there was a noticeable decrease in flavor but not enough to make it unenjoyable. There were two slices of jalapeño in this one. The third time I got this damn dish, I asked them for extra jalapeños and expected more than 2 slices. When I got the food I opened it and saw green slices, and more than 2 so that was good. So imagine my complete disappointment when I bit them and they were green peppers. Green pepper isn’t even an ingredient of the original dish. Fast forward to today when I came in and ordered a Singapore Mei Fun which comes with curry. I asked for extra curry and I got NO curry. Literally none. So adiós Moca. Stay away from this place if you care about getting what you paid for.

Horrible experience ! Never ever will I step foot in this place. I was their 30 mins before I had to go in for work that was plenty of time to pick up some soup and eat it in the car since my job was right around the corner. Why does it take 20 mins for some wonton soup ?! 15 mins in I witness Some pretty unsanitary things I immediately asked for my money back. They insisted that I get something else. It was a simple dish no reason why it was taking incredibly long but I’m glad it did because I got a chance to watch them prepare the food, nothing was fresh they microwaved everything !!! I saw one of the cooks chop a cucumber and he dropped his knife and some cucumber slices and he picked it up and served it. That was it ! By that time I already knew that I wasn’t going to take the food my food and I asked for my money back they were being extremely difficult and rude. BEWARE !

I can’t form an attachment to a restaurant like this, because it has no personality. It’s all about the food, and it’s all about the service. Many of the people who work here, are not particularly fluent in English, and perhaps that was the reason why they can do very little more than nod, smile, and give prompt and courteous service(if they want to). That’s okay with me, because on a whole, Chinese restaurants are no longer set up to be gracious and very friendly, the way they used to be when I was a little kid and my parents would take me occasionally to their favorite. The owners were usually to be found in the vicinity of the cashier’s counter, which was usually near the entrance. It was there that people came in and picked up their takeout orders, and it was the owner or his manager, who would be responsible to take the orders from the kitchen, to the cashier’s counter, where they would await the arrival of customers. The owner, was very deliberate in being very nice to all of his customers, and try to show them a very friendly and gracious face. It was his way of communicating appreciation for their loyalty and patronage, which, reflected his personal success in achieving excellent food, excellent service, and their continued loyalty. When I wrote my previous review of Mocha Express, in 2013, I was defending a restaurant that I thought was getting trashed mercilessly, with negative things that I had never experienced during my brief lunches there. It bothered me that they were being accused of racism, and unsanitary conditions, because I had been there with many of my friends who happen to be black. There was never even a glimmer of anything except decent food, accompanied by a hello, goodbye, and thank you. In the absence of having observed nothing negative, and because I had no expectation of being treated anything more then respectfully, I defended the restaurant, from what I thought must be a malicious trashing. Recently I have had several opportunities to go back to Mocha Café, and experienced a level of arrogance and disrespect that I was unable to see before my last review. I will now say that the staff was not nasty, but they certainly were not interested in giving good service. Furthermore, when people complained, they were sharply put back in place and told off by management. I could not believe my eyes and ears, and I decided there and then that I would never return there, and advise my review is for the benefit of my fellow Unilocalers. Therefore, IfI am reducing the number of stars to 2, and asking my fellow Unilocalers to be on guard if they go there, and to be particularly vigilant if you order takeout delivery. I have witnessed this place, getting our orders entirely wrong, and placing the blame on us. Their arrogance and independent attitude makes them disregard courtesy, and allows them to be indifferent and obnoxious at the same time.

Staff is disgustingly rude and are constantly sending the wrong order and when we call we receive an attitude like it’s out fault. Just spoke to the manager who was not helpful and said he was gonna fire the girl which is bs since I’d say half the staff is family. b I work in service and when their are issues we always try to accommodate and make our client happy. I order. from them 2x a week and it’s my stupidy to continue to give the business when they take no responsibility for their mistakes and their obnoxious employees. It’s unfortunate since they were very close and made it easy after a long day or work but I will never order from them again

Service is very iffy and the cleanliness leaves a LOT to be desired. Obviously you come here for the cheap buffet dining. Ambience and décor is great and hip. Keep in mind this place is VERY small and the buffet items are not the freshest. A plus is that there’s sushi here, but the guy who makes it seems to get very annoyed when you take any of it. I’ve been here a few times, and although I just might not have seen it most of the time, once there was a live cockroach ON the sushi on the counter. Haven’t been back since, but perhaps that was an off-day.

Been ordering from Moca off and on for a few years now. the food has always been consistently delicious for the most part. I would definitely say that the food portions match the prices. I’ve tried their Japanese and Chinese. The teriyaki chicken sometimes lacks in flavor. but overall Both their Japanese and Chinese are equally tasty and fresh. Their avocado rolls are superb btw! Customer service hasn’t always been that great via phone, but it has become a lot better recently! Guess they got rid of the bad apples. My only gripe with Moca is the delivery time. It usually takes close to an hour to receive your order. if you’re patient and not famished then Give them a try. Lol

I wish I read all the reviews before ordering from this restaurant… DONOTPATRONIZETHISBUSINESS! After leaving 3 menus on my doorstep, my family and I decided to give this place a try. We order Chinese food an average of 2x per week and were excited to try a new spot. After ordering food for delivery including 2 orders of Crispy Sesame shrimp, our food was delivered an hour later and one of our orders was incorrect. I immediately called to allow for them to rectify the situation and could not believe how I was being spoken to. I was very clear when I initially placed my order and this was definitely their mistake, however I was treated as if I were a nuisance. First, a woman picked up the phone and scolded me for not making sure my order was correct after she repeated it to me. The funny thing was — she wasn’t even the person who took my order! I spoke to a man initially and he did not repeat what I ordered. She passed the phone to him and it seemed all they wanted to do was argue. This«gentleman» proceeded to tell me that the next time I order from them that I need to make sure that I am listening properly when they repeat my order. He spoke to me as if I were a 10 year old child and constantly interrupted me while I was speaking. I have never in my life experienced anything like it. I quickly told them to forget bringing the correct order and that I would never patronize their business again! Even if I said the wrong thing, which I definitely did not, where and when is it EVER acceptable to speak to your customers that way? They obviously have no concept of what customer service means and seem to be quite miserable. I know that how they spoke to me is completely a reflection on them and not on me. To top it off, the food was not great and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. A message to management: Your collection of mostly negative reviews are a clear reflection of the service you are providing the community. The problem is YOU… not anyone else.

Great typical Asian food. The express menu has a great selection and the food is definitely priced fairly and gives you a good bang for your buck. Don’t expect top notch quality but you will get good«fresh» food that you can order late into the night.

I ordered for delivery chicken fried rice and shrimp fried rice. The rice was almost spoiled. It was probably from the day before. It made my stomach sour and I am still sick from it. They did not use fresh rice, probably trying to save money. Well this is the last time I ever order from them.

The food smelled great; however, they are not clean. My chicken with mixed vegetables had pieces of lomein in it and my shrimp shumi taste as though the shrimp were sitting around before being cooked. I will never order from them again. The service was bad and so was the food.

I am sad to say I’m pretty disappointed. I used to come here all the time prior to Super Storm Sandy and was forced to move. I just recently moved back and was eager to eat here again. The service was mediocre at best. They seemed almost annoyed that I was placing an order. The food was terrible. It didn’t taste fresh at all. I don’t know if the food was bland and the sauces covered up the bland meat or worse the food was past its expiration date and the thick sauces covered that up … perhaps I was spoiled living in Flushing and had amazing cuisine while there but this was just plain disappointing. The quality has gone down significantly. I am not surprised they didn’t include napkins, cutlery or any of the sauces in my take out order. I won’t be back.

This was a great place before. Now they have more people working there but food is awful. I got miso soup and sushi and few hours later I thought I am going to die. I felt better immediately after I threw up the old seaweed and some of the sushi… Never again!!! Caution, food is not only overpriced now but also not fresh.

Racism rears it’s ugly head once again. After being a loyal customer for takeout… never less than $ 5 to the driver. First They told me it would be 90 minutes. I said okay. She then said wait and came back a few minutes later and said. «We don’t deliver to «that» neighborhood anymore. They are less than 10 minutes away… so what’s that about. Sometimes being Black even your money isn’t good enough. This is a gated community. What’s the problem? They just hung up. I hope Blacks stop eating there… maybe they do too…

Terrible. Cockroaches everywhere. food that was suppose to be hot was cold. Bad bad service! Place made me sick for 2 days. Do not eat here!!!
