Very nice hotel. I have yet to be disappointed with a Residence Inn. I really hate hotels, but had to go on business. This was very clean and nice. Rooms are huge and are up to date. I like having a fridge and microwave in the room. And for the price, you can’t beat this residence in.

With a perfect 5 stars. I had to see what all the fuss was about. Too good to be true usually is right? Parking lot entrance was strange, and a bit past where you would think it to be. Had to park a little bit away, but it was 1am. Greeted right away by a genuinely kind and well spoken young lady, who had no sign of the usual, night shift employee attitude. Quickly got me set up, ~150 $ for the room, 5 $ for an ice cold beer from the fridge. So much for finding flaws thus far. Lobby was spacious, clean, and bright, but not intrusive. Room was flawless, with large bathroom and kitchen. Everything felt new, and all the little details like art on the walls and tasteful pendant light fixtures all worked for me. Somehow woke for the 6a-9a breakfast buffet, which had more than the usual carb choices and waffle maker. Had a fresh parfait, breakfast sandwich, and cinnamon raisin bagel. All above par. Even an employee, who definitely looked busy, or even off the clock, kindly took my finished plate away. There’s that ‘forced’ nice and there’s genuine nice. Every employee I encountered was the latter. Bravo, Residents Inn. Brav-o.

This is a great residence Inn and fairly new from what I can gather. The rooms are comfortable, the lobby is great, and the staff has been helpful on all the visits I have made here for business. There are also lots of decent places to eat around here.

Just one f those hotels that makes you feel at home. I love a good Residents Inn. This one is a good one. Tonight was BBQ night. There were bratwurst, hot dogs, hamburger, beanie weanies, potato salad and all the fixings you could want. Of course there was free beer. So after a hard day what could be better than retreating back to your hotel and being treated by a friendly staff and enjoying a meal with fellow guests. Breakfast is always great too and the best part is, it is all included in the price of your room! It doesn’t get much better than this when you are on the road! Almost forgot, they had killer brownies for desert! Again, the staff is great!

One of the cleanest, nicest hotels I have stayed. Staff was exceptional!!! Great place for kids. Rooms are very clean, kitchenette in room was wonderful. Sundrys at front desk were nice. W stayed 3 nights and I was very pleased with the location, the friendliness of the staff and the morning breakfast was perfect for kids… Coffee all day and the coffee is great. Housekeeping staff very very nice and accomodating, easy access to highway and several nice restaurants near by. I will return!!! This group of staff needs to teach some other Marriotts how to treat their customers and make everyone feel special…

Excellent Marriott. Exceptional customer service from every single employee I came into contact with. Room was pristine. I will definitely stay at this location again. This hotel is in an area where there are so many options to eat — you will only have trouble deciding on where to go.

Excellent stay at the Residence Inn Irmo outside of Columbia. I recently stayed at this hotel and loved it. It opened within the last six months and it shows. Some parts of this building still smell of new construction. T The eating area was quite large. There is no on-site restaurant but there is a cocktail reception with great food. The night I was there it was pasta, salad, texas toast, and warm brownies. There are several draft beer selections and other beverages. I had a Yeungling and a warm brownie. I went to dinner elsewhere because I don’t like alfredo sauce. If it was red sauce I would have just stayed in. This is the same area for breakfast which was also a slam dunk. Everything was fresh and tasty. I got some eggs and canadian bacon with a few other items to round out my plate. The room had a tv that swivels almost 360 degrees. There were lots of outlets by the bed and desk and throughout the room. It’s a standard Residence Inn layout but new amenities. The color choices on the couch and walls are something I haven’t seen in a Residence Inn yet. The room was quite, clean, and AC worked great. The laundry room has about 8 machines for the DIY guy. That was nice. The staff was great. I had no change on me to do my laundry but they let me cash out the quarters on my bill. Only one other hotel has done that before and most will give you a hard time. I appreciated it. T The downside is there is some construction outside. I was there during the day and the windows are pretty tight so I couldn’t hear it. They said it’s going to be a restaurant so once that’s done it should be good. The building right next to it are office plazas so it’s quiet at night. Easy to get on/off interstate and I thought it was easy to get into Columbia. Parking will probably be bad once that restaurant is built because you can’t park 360 around the hotel. For now it’s a 5 star.
