Really had a good hot bowl of the Japanese soup really loved it also the Tai one too it had noodles in it so I didn’t need to use the ones that we ordered. We sat in the corner it took about five minutes, then he came to get are order. Then once I got my flaming hot Thai bowl my mouth was on fire like literally boiling hot I burned my mouth then waited till it cooled down I had to tell a waiter guy to turn the flame off. Finally once it was cool it was so good the flavor is so good. I took some for lunch to work in my rice I’ll be back but this time I won’t burn my mouth hopefully.

Love this damn place. Come here almost once every 2 weeks. Finally tried the miso soup lobster fish balls, not that great. Taiwanese was sooo spicy, burned my throat. We always add sliced angus beef n quail eggs. The passion fruit, guava, winter melon lemonade are bomb but pricy! They also have a stamp card for soup n drinks if u r a regular. Definitely recommend thai flavor, beef, seafood, korean bean paste… soooo good. Sucks ramen noodles are not fresh. Udon was ok. Still come back as a regular. Service atthis location isnt bad and theres plenty of room. U dont touch your neighbor’s elbows. Lol

I really enjoyed this place. Showed up around noon on a Saturday and the wait time wasn’t bad at all. maybe 5 mins. Our food and service was great though I though the Tofu and Seafood pot was a bit bland. I loved theLamb and Thai pots. I’ll definitely revisit this place more often.

This place really isn’t that good, but I’ll admit it, I keep coming back because I haven’t found another comparable place yet. There’s always a wait, even at 8pm on a weeknight so plan accordingly, especially if you have a large party. Also, they won’t sit you unless everyone is here. I’ve recently tried the Thai and it was a huge disappointment. The broth was rather watered down(maybe because it’s at the end of the night?), there wasn’t much of anything inside the pot even though this was considered as the«bigger portion», and the crab tasted horrible. You can definitely tell it has been dead and frozen for a long time. Even with the average experience. I’ll be back, until I find something similar.

Beware: this place grows on you! The first time I went, I thought it was pretty okay. Last night I went and it was delish!!! I highly recommend the sweet milk with boba at half the sweetness. I would come just for this alone, it was THAT good. I feel like the boba was made just right and they seemed a little smaller in size than the normal boba pearls. I tried the Korean hot pot the first time, and the Thai one the second time. Personally, I really liked the Thai one. It reminded me of a Tom yum type soup and was very flavorful. The dipping sauce that you put together in the small bowl is LIFE! So good. I didn’t even end up really using it all at much though as the Thai one had so much flavor already. I did use it to dip my meat in. Minus one star for the amount of noodles they give you. It’s really a tiny serving and they could definitely give a few more just to make a normal serving size for the size of the pot. Every time it’s gloomy outside, I will be craving this place.

Came in here because I really love hotpot! The wait was a good 25 – 30 min. That’s normal since they are always packed I guess that is a decent amount of time and they text you which is nice so you could walk around and kill time. I got the Taiwanese hot pot and let me tell you. ITISSPICY. If you love spicy get this pot. It’s super hot. It comes with mushrooms, tofu, beef, beef intestine and all this other stuff. The broth was ok. For some reason the broth didn’t taste that great to me. It kind of reminded me of a tomato sauce? Not sure. I wish there was more beef as well. I got like 3 – 4 slices in my wok. For the price, it seemed too pricey for me. I love the mushrooms, it was very yummy! And you have a choice of a side rice or noodles which is nice. The water cups is in a paper cup. Which I’m wondering why? It would be more nice if they had reg cups since the restaurant looks nice and wealthy. You would think they would give decent cups to customers to drink water out of. But I guess it’s because they serve teas and all that in a to go cup? I do like how the fire is on the wok the whole time eating. This is a good place to go to during winter time for sure. But I think I would stick to going to a hot pot place where I can order the ingredients and cook it on the spot(:

I came here after seeing posts from my friend who lives in Seattle. I never knew they had a one in so cal but she told me there was a bunch of them. So when I was heading back to sac we decided to visit my friend in Irvine and this was the place I wanted to try. The line was out the door and there was a bit of a wait but it went by pretty fast. I don’t remember exactly what we ordered but I know that I lovedddd the broth. It was so flavorful! I definitely want to go back again and try different broths or I just might get the same one just because I loved it so much. You get your own personal hotpot right in front of you. It comes with whatever is listed on the menu but there are also sides that you can order that costs extra to go in the pot as well. Of course I had to get my quail eggs

The boiling point for water is 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The boiling point of Bromine is 142 degrees Fahrenheit. The boiling point for Boiling Point is whatever temperature the fire is at because I don’t know. I was wary of Boiling Point, if only for the fact that I have had hot pot, soups, shabu, and other broths and by this point I don’t know if I could reliably tell the different between a good and a great hot pot place. But I had heard good things so… why not, I have to eat some time anyway. So Boiling Point didn’t do much to quell my fears at first. We arrived to an empty host stand, which remained empty until we were called to our table(you sign in on an iPad thing). From there service improved but it still feels sort of impersonal since the staff is running around constantly. Food: Why am I sectioning it out now, halfway through the review? I don’t know. I ended up getting the lamb hot pot, whatever they call it. First of all, I have to commend them on something I have not found elsewhere. Despite all of the food coming out already in the broth and sitting in it for a while, each individual part of the pot retained its own flavor. That is, as opposed to other hot pot places, the entire thing didn’t just taste like broth and solid version of broth. If I could remember all the food items present I would list them, but I cannot be arsed so deal with it. It was all good though(even the one clam… seriously though, just one?). Broth evaporates off pretty quick since it is always over a flame, but I think that helps to infuse more flavor into everything else. Also, they refill your broth upon request, which is nice. The Hokkaido milk tea was alright, but it had a strange sweetness about it… almost like a hard candy. Overall, not a bad experience and a better price than some other places. Solid 4. Now to pass out from food coma.

One of my favorite spot when up in Irvine! First thing, when coming in and waiting to get in, they have an awesome and efficient method for queuing customers for seating. There is an ipad at the counter where you punch in your name and party size, then it sorts you by party size and gives you a receipt with your group number! They have a good variety of hot pot choices, with differing meats and even some vegetarian choices ranging from 10 – 15 dollars. You then can choose to have vermicelli or rice with your hot pot. Each pot gets it’s own fire, allowing you the best soup you can get. If you need more broth the staff will gladly add more. The best part of this place is their amazing sauces. They have an amazing garlic soy sauce, and bean paste sauce that when combined is awesome. I love to dip my individual soup pieces in it, and even mix a bit in my broth! I have also tried the hokkaido milk tea which was tasty, although they are often sold out of it. I have also had their ice cream macarons which decent but overpriced. Definitely an experience if you have never been, and definitely a place to return to once have been!

Okay, my review will sound weird, but… the Taiwanese spicy gives you a nasty after-morning unwanted hang out with your toilet, oh and you’ll feel that spicy kick again(if you know what I mean) LOL. I swear, each time my gf and I go it happens to me. She used to ask me why I continually get it if that happens, but I don’t care, the flavor is so good! We live down in SD, so you know it’s good if we drive up at least once a month to get our Boiling Point fix. Anyways, I highly recommend this place, there’s always a small wait if you go during peak hours. 30 – 45 minutes, so be prepared. Lunches are less crowded, so go during that time if you’re a grump when you’re hungry lol.

There is always a wait at this spot so I figured it should be worth a try. And it is. Wait around 7:30 on a weekend was only around 20 – 30 min. The seats are a little tight to the point I wondered if people ever bump into the boiling pots. Thai flavor was really good. It’s a bit pricier than the others but comes with a big portion of shrimp, crab, soup, etc. I got the«very spicy» I think it’s called — second to spiciest level. Perfect level of spice without being overbearing. I’d expect the freshness of the items to be better for how much business they have. But this place gets the job done if you want hot pot and you’re nearby. I got the rose milk tea with boba to go afterwards and that was delicious!

Arrived here last Saturday around 8:30pm for dinner. There is a check in computer system in the front where you’ll enter your phone number and # in your party. Wait time was about 10 mins for our party of 3, not bad as the place was crowded. We ordered: 1. Beef Hot Soup(mild): decent, although it was mild, it had a nice kick 2. Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup: good, spicy but not as spicy as the waiter said it would be 3. Add-ons: quail eggs(order came with 6 eggs), rice and vermicelli noodles. 4. Passion fruit green tea: great size and refreshing They ran out of snow cubes so we tried a mango flavor macaron ice cream. Overall, great portion of food but nothing stands out from other hot pot places. Service was little disappointing. The waiter forgot our waters, extra bowl and plastic utensils for our toddler. He even brought us the bill before the food came out… it was not even close to dine-in last call lol! A gentlemen who came by later on who asked us if we needed anything was friendly, refilled our waters and assisted with getting more napkins. Since you cannot control the fire, they can put it out for you and re-light it for you. The vegetables gets mushy quick so you might want to take some out ahead of time. There were 3 types of sauces at the table which we mixed two together for dip.

I love hot pot! Boiling Point isn’t my absolute favorite spot for hot pot but it is one of my top choices. This location isn’t too large so there will probably be at least a small wait around dinner time. They have an electronic check-in system. They will text you when your table is ready. I always go with the beef hot soup — medium. The medium is a bit spicy but not too overwhelming. I like the individual pots but because everything already comes in the soup(and you can’t control the fire), the veggies do tend to get mushy pretty fast. I usually take things out and put them in my rice bowl so things don’t get tooo soggy. Also, because you can’t control the fire the pot gets reallyyy hot. Most of the dishes are around $ 13, which is a really good deal(especially compared to some other hot pot/shabu restaurants). The lunch rates are a bit cheaper too.

It wasn’t my first time here today as I’ve been a regular customer for a while, it’s just the first time I checked in. I have always loved the concept of Boiling Point, their«mini wok on a box» as they call it. Coming from San Jose a few years back, I made it a point to try Boiling Point(ha-ha). I went for lunch time because it’s slightly cheaper and it comes with complimentary tea(green or black). Luckily me and a friend came literally 5 minutes before the lunch rush happened, so we got seated right away. I ordered the lamb hot soup with black tea(I have pictures)! I started getting lamb after getting the house special a few times but I like lamb more because of the ingredients inside. Our orders came out 10 minutes later and my friend and I just ate. Nothing unique about it if you’re a regular who loves hot pot like me! I totally recommend it on cold weather days(or just any day in general, I love hot pot). Come for the lunch special and preferably before 12:30 to skip the lunch time wait. I’m sure either way though, you would have to wait some time because of how popular the place is. I think it’s worth it for the amount they give and the experience. Always will be coming back.

It took me forever to try this place because I thought all the options were some type of spicy and I can’t handle things like that because I’m a wimpling ahah. I’m glad I finally tried this place, it’s not too big on the inside and sometimes there’s a wait but it is definitely worth it. My first time here I got this curry broth soup and it was so good! I haven’t been there enough to remember the things I get yet but I have not been disappointed the two times I’ve been there. I had Milk tea with egg pudding i think but it was sooo good. I’m craving this as I type OMG! The price is very reasonable for such a portion. My friend and I typically get our own because we can’t agree on one to choose but they can definitely be shared. The service is always good, the servers are patient and will explain anything you need. I will definitely be coming back here! FYI:This plaza has terrible parking, the parking lot is always full and the spaces are so tight. Not the restaurant’s fault but just a helpful hint !

I really love coming to this place! On a Saturday night, wait time can be up to 2 hours long depending on how many people are in your party. Anyways, I love this place! I love the concept of having your own personal hot pot! Especially since me and my boyfriend have totally different taste buds! I got their #1 which is their stinky tofu base hot pot and it comes with stinky tofu, clams, pig intestines, cabbage and fish cake. Now if you never had stinky tofu(which is tofu that is fermented and it has a strong odor to it) then it could be a huge miss for you if you never had it. It literally has that«stinky» taste to it and smell also. My boyfriend tried a piece of it and he didn’t like it. But the broth was flavor besides the fermented after taste. My boyfriend got their #5 which is their lamb hot top with cabbage, corn, lamb, fish cake, crab meat, tofu and tomato with mild spicy. He really enjoyed his hot pot, the broth had the right amount of flavor and the spicy was perfect for him but personally for me, I didn’t like it as much since I don’t like lamb. With our meals we got their hokkaido milk tea with light sugar. The drink itself kinda reminds me of white rabbit candy, which I love eating. So this drink is a plus for me whenever we come here. Besides the long wait, service here depends on how busy they are. They are harder to get a hold of when its super busy which is understandable for me but not to others. But I love this place! I wish they would open up one here in San Diego!

Came here with my aunt at 11:45 on a weekday. There wasn’t a wait but restaurant was definitely packed. If there is a wait, an iPad in the front of the restaurant acts as the wait list and you have to type your info in. This restaurant serves hot pot for each individual, and it’s a ton of food for one person. Tip: the Irvine location takes reservations! Aunt got the #1(stinky tofu based hot pot) and I got the #4(beef hot pot, medium spicy level). #1 comes with stinky tofu, a clam, some pig intestines, cabbage, & fish cake. Her broth tasted like stinky tofu fresh off the streets of Taipei. She’s a stinky tofu aficionado, so she ordered an additional side of the original stinky tofu to put in her hot pot(came with 4 large pieces I believe). Mine came with beef slices(cooked already), fish cake, cabbage, enoki mushrooms, and a beef ball(random). My broth was flavored like the Sacha sauce you buy in a can from Asian supermarkets when you make your own hot pot dipping sauces(aka awesome). It was delicious! Both our meals came with a large iced black or green tea(automatically sweetened so ask for unsweetened if that’s what you want), and a bowl of rice or glass noodles(made from mung beans. Vermicelli is rice noodles made from rice). Most telling is that the majority of the customers were Taiwanese or Chinese. So it’s authentic and good. Also, for lunch each hot pot was only $ 11.99(there are 3 speciality hot pots that are a few dollars more at $ 15.99), it’s a great deal! Service was quick, polite, and helpful. There’s not an assigned wait staff for your table, so multiple different staff will come by your table to refill the soup in your hot pot, give you another flame thing if yours burns out, etc. despite us getting there right before the busy lunch hour, we were never rushed by the waitstaff, and they were good about acting quickly on our requests(though we did have to flag people down sometimes, it was always quick to do so though so not an issue). Place was clean, bathrooms clean, and lots of cute Halloween decorations this time of year. :) My only complaint was that the table was kinda small for two people(the hot pots take up the majority of the table), and the tables were set close together. Parties on either side of us were within an arms length away. Overall, hot pot for lunch at $ 11.99, which includes a complimentary large iced tea, and bowl of rice or glass noodles is an awesome value. Wish I lived here! Come to Las Vegas pleaseeeeee!

This is a very Taiwanese eatery that serves individual hot pot with an active flame packed with meat/seafood and veggies in hot soup served with noodles or rice. If that sounds like something you like, this is the spot! For people who don’t know Chinese, the Chinese name of this restaurant literally translates to «stinky stinky hot pot». And so yes, it is a bit stinky inside because their house special #1 is the stinky tofu hot pot. Stinky tofu is a fermented tofu that is very popular in Taiwan, and some parts of China. I can stand the smell in there since it’s not very strong but I don’t think I wanna order one so we got their beef and lamb hot pots and both were really delicious! The meat quality is decent, although not the best. I love their soup broth and all the veggie stuff in the pot. The soup goes so well with the vermicelli too! (By the way, it bugs me when people say ver-mi-selli. It’s not. This is an Italian word and their c is pronounced as «Che» so it’s ver-mi-che-li. The waitress asked me vermiSElli or rice and I couldn’t get what she meant at first so she asked noodles or rice. Lol. On the same note, bruschetta is an Italian word too, not a French word, so the«Che» is a hard K sound not«she». Ok done ranting thanks.) The one thing I like is you get a lot of food for $ 12.99 and their Brick’s ice cream macaron is a bit cheaper than other places($ 2.99 instead of $ 3.50). For drinks, I found their winter melon juice quite addicting, but it’s a bit pricey $ 3. Good and fast service. Tables are small so be careful not to spill or drop things. Make sure you get a ticket when you walk in. They opened up another store across the parking lot to deal with overflowing crowds.

Boiling Point is my go to for any soup cravings. Service varies, quality is quite the same. I’ve been here a great amount of time to know that the soups I’ve ordered have been consistent. Check in procedure requires you to check in via an iPad or server, if iPad — it gives you a wait time ticket. I used to always order the fish ball soup, they rid of it :(so now I just get the #1. If you can handle spicy foods just enough, a medium level is suitable. Boiling point is perfect for when you are sick or the weather is cold. The green tea/black tea is served from opening til 3pm. There are tables and booths, all interchangeably set up. Boiling point is always busy. Even right before opening, a line forms. I recommend bringing all foreigners to this spot, it’s a fun way of eating soup. Plus the Taiwanese music/k-pop is fun to listen to

My husband and I learned to love BP! The first time we came back in November/December we hated the service. The food was great… but the service was horrid. After our first visit we just stopped coming here… until that one dreaded hangover… We needed spicy soup and we were too hungover to get anything so we just received a free promo code for free delivery from doordash and as we looked at the choices we saw boiling point. Yes we paid a few extra bucks with tip, but at the moment it was worth it. We realized that to-go wasn’t too bad and after that experience we started to get BP to-go. I always get the lamb w/vermicelli very spicy and my husband gets the house special medium spice w/vermicelli. I would highly recommend the lamb… as for the house special… if you like stinky tofu get it. Yesterday we went to BP for lunch at around 11:15 and there was no wait… the service was actually great and I will say it tastes a lot better eating there than getting it to-go. Remember to get a stamp card!!! 10 hot pots and you get one free. Also try to come during lunch(everyday they have the lunch special) it’s a couple bucks cheaper and you get a drink :)
