I have been to so many hookah bars throughout Southern California and I have never seen a place that doesn’t offer refills on their hookah. You have to pay full price to change the hookah head! The service is incredibly slow, but the servers are incredibly nice. It gets super busy on Friday and Saturday nights so either get there early, or be prepared to wait 45 mins– hour. They have hot persian tea that they’ll refill for you all night(which is great!) and you can order dessert off of the main restaurant menu which is also pretty nice.

Chill hookah lounge with fumari & starbuzz tobacco. Friendly staff, keeps charcoal & tea refills coming. Food and drinks available. A Belly dancer performs here as well. Con– seating is wood, so hard on the buttox.

I was shopping around for a while to find a place for my rehearsal dinner when I found Caspian on Unilocal. We visited the place and Tara one of the staff helped us with putting a menu together which would be enough for 15 people. We decided at the beginning to bring our wine and pay the corkage fee. Micky the manager offered a really good deal on wines so we don’t have to bring our own bottles. The service was great. Food was delicious and the portions were big enough. The entertainment which was the mix of reggae and Persian music. We danced the whole night. My friends and family had a blast. We will definitely go back.

Was my first time here last night with a few friends, and although I’m not much of a hookah fan, I really enjoyed the environment. The food was definitely up to par. I want to come back and explore the happy hour menu.

They don’t know what a good hookah should taste like. Nice ambient environment. The belly dancer put on a good show, but their hookah just sucks.

Been here twice now, and I feel like it is growing on me. I just wish they had a better food selection of small bites and appetizers, or price-conscious options for dining while smoking your hookah. It isn’t a very large space, so it may be hard to get seats if you come with a large party. They have the same menu as the restaurant side as Caspian. The hookah is good but the service is slow. They don’t seem to have enough servers to help everyone. Regardless, the appetizer plate that comes with a combination of hummus, salad olovie, kashke bademjoon, etc is great. The chicken tender greek salad is also a really great salad with fresh flavor. Tea and sweets are always on point, if you order zulbia and bamie. With the limited options for hookah in the Irvine area, this is not a bad place to check out. They have the belly dancers come in to dance as well which is a nice touch.

Highlights + Nice Environment + Belly Dancer — Horrible Service — Mandatory Tip — Long Long Wait — Pricey The seating area is not that big, maybe around 11 or 12 four tops. There is a small disco ball in the center of the room and a couple TV’s. It is semi outdoor seating so it doesn’t get hot. Although it wasn’t that busy, the service was terrible. The play by play: my friend and I were sat then waited 15 minutes before anyone came to speak with us. We ordered our hookah and tea and waited another 15 minutes before we received out hookah. Then another 15 minutes before receiving the tea. I like to have butter with my tea and asked for a tab of butter. After 15 minutes I got up and got my own butter from the restaurant portion of the Caspian. I wish I could say I was exaggerating. Needless to say I wasn’t going to tip for this horrendous service, but when the bill of $ 39+ for a hookah and 2 teas came out, a $ 4+ tip was already added. I won’t be returning and will make the 15 min drive to Nubia.

Save yourself the time and money… The hookah and location are decent, but the service is what completely messed up the experience! When we got there they told us to wait 30 minutes to be seated and even proceeded to let another couple go before us even though they arrived AFTER??? Then when we were finally seated, I had to fetch the waiter myself after being ignored for 15 minutes to order a single hookah… which arrived 27MINUTESLATER(and yes I kept track). When I asked why it took so long and if he could do anything about it(like a discount or an apology ATTHEVERYLEAST) the waiter said«I don’t know what to tell you» and went on to ignore me. SORUDE. Once I asked for my check shortly after, I noticed a gratuity was already included… How about Caspian hire some COMPETENT waiters first and THEN make gratuity mandatory. Needless to say, I’m disgusted at the negligence toward standard service and am never going back. Shame shame shame…

Favorite after-work hangout spot with my good friend. Top choices: Borani, e bademjan(eggplant with yogurt), Caspian Apple Martini(epecially during happy hour), and apple mint hookah. And of course that adorable(half Asian, half Syrian?) belly dancer that comes sometime in the evening. Very chill, relaxing atmosphere.

Really like this lounge, great atmosphere, great flavors to choose from, and friendly staff. The only«downfall» I’d suppose, is that on weekdays the staff is pretty slow because they’re short on staff. Going in on a Thursday night with a lot of groups in, and having only one guy running around is pretty difficult, assuming you have to wait 10 minutes for the person to come around. Great place to relax. I will be coming back!

This place is really chill. I did a lot of Unilocal research because I wanted to find a place that had a bar as well as hookah. From what I’ve looked up this is only one of two places with those requirements. They have some good beer choices although I think you need to ask for a cocktail menu. The staff is super attentive and they change your coals very often and ask if you need anything. They have belly dancers too that you can tip but it felt kind of awkward because they’d get super close to every table. They have a variety of music too. Their hummus is not bad; not grainy at all. Maybe one day I’ll come try their kebobs(what they’re known for) * they gave us happy hour price for hookah even though we got there at 8:58(happy hour ends at 9 tues-thurs) awesome!(:

So I never had hookah and wanted to try to see what it was all about. But, I was hesitant. The places I passed often seemed kind of shady and seedy from the outside with some sketchy people going in and out. LOL. I started looking through Unilocal reviews. Most did not serve food or did not have a full bar. I was looking for it all. Caspian stood out with good reviews and met all my criteria. My friend and I came here one late evening on a week day. They have a full restaurant for just their food and a separate section upfront for the Hookah. We told them as we came in we were looking to do the Hookah and get something to eat/drink and they said no problem on serving us in the Hookah area. It is not a huge room, but big enough to easily sit several groups of people in the area. At the time we arrived(~9pm) there were 2 or 3 other small groups. It was well ventilated with screens to let the fresh air in so it was not overwhelmed with the smoke/vapor. The waiter helped in making the choice on the Hookah. We selected a fruity version… triple berry. So we order some drinks, hummus and had our Hookah while we looked at the menu. Big thumbs up for the guy servicing the hookah and keeping an eye on the coals… very helpful and attentive. I think we were there for 1.5 to 2 hrs and the hookha was still going strong for the two of us. The group of people was quite diverse with twenty-something guys, mid-age women and young couple. The belly dancer came out and was workin’ it for tips. It was a fun crowd and people were getting into it. The food… the hummas was really good, very tasty and addicting. I tried the stew… beef and celery. The meat was tender, but I was not a fan of the seasoning. It seemed a little overwhelming to me. However, I would come back to try other items. For me this visit was about the Hookah. It was a great first experience and I would highly recommend to those hesitant. Hookah, drinks, hummas, belly dancers… what is not to love about this place?

A few friends and I walked in on a Monday night around 11(they closed at 12 that day). We found that it was happy hour all day on Mondays so each set is $ 14.99. We got 2 sets for 5 people, and you can mix and create your own flavors. I thought the look of this place was nice, great ambience, and wonderful service. They even let us stay until 12:30 and did not try to rush us out. I’ll definitely be back again!

Caspian Hookah Lounge is part of the Caspian restaurant, but more like a patio out in the front of the restaurant. This is a perfect place to hang out to smoke, enjoy their music, drink their tea, have some appetizers, and watch one of the best belly dancers! Btw, the belly dancers are HOT! So, bring cash to tip, too! If you plan to smoke, try their mixed flavors! And if you plan on drinking tea, try their African tea:
Our two hookahs:
We had an awesome experience here and quickly made new friends who helped us with restaurant recommendations. The staff are awesome and quality of their tea and food is high. This place is highly recommended! Just a note: This place is perfect for a party of 2 or 4. Anything beyond is probably going to be tough since the place isn’t that huge. If you go on a busy night, expect a wait.
