I love Korean food and this is the perfect place for me. I came here today for some groceries, the fridge was a bit low on meat. Parking was kind of challenging and slow. It was a weekend so that’s understandable. It probably took me ten to fifteen minutes to find parking and I got lucky. Someone pulled out right in front of me and I took their spot. Since it was crowded today and the aisles are a bit narrow, I had to maneuver a bit to get to what I wanted. I love the seafood and meat sections here. They have Korean bbq options too, marinated and ready to cook. I got some salmon, pork belly, enoki mushrooms, dried seaweed, pickled radish and ketchup. Their prices are great. I got all that for about $ 22. The cashier was nice and I got out of there as quickly as possible. Weekends can be pretty hectic, but I really like the food they have here.

Stopped in tonight to grab some romaine lettuce. Selection of fresh vegetables is hit and miss. I am wondering if with all the new apartments popping up they may need to step up the fresh fruit and vegetables and make more parking! It is true this place has an awesome selection of items and you can easily get lost in all the fun stuff. I wish I did not have to smell fish as soon as I walk in the door. Awkward layout for check out from produce to cashier. Why the security guard outside the door?

It’s alright — fish and meat are mostly the highlights of this store. They have frozen and non-frozen meats, so you can decide what quality and how much you want to spend. Seafood I don’t normally get but everyone says it’s good and prices are right. This store is a little smaller than a few of the other H Marts, but the meat area is usually sufficient unless you go day of a huge holiday or something. Though they make you walk through the seafoods and meat, crowded with carts, to get to the rest of the store which is baffling. Produce is fine but wouldn’t brag home about it. Shelved items are not bad, but I went to buy the rice cooking wine I’d gotten there before and it was not on the cooking aisle, which was very confusing to me, and caused me to spend almost 5 minutes making sure I hadn’t overlooked it. And since half the labels are only printed in Korean, I picked one up which was very close but turned out not to be the same thing. So then I wandered over to the and there they were, but not one with the same label I’m used to. Went back to the aisle I was on, and up in the«storage»(overstock) shelf they had one that I usually buy. So I got that one. The checkers are all h.s. /college kids who are decent at rushing you through but not much else. That’s fine but they need to get back some actual adults to supervise /manage like I’m used to and always seen before. I asked for a paper(bottle sized) bag to put my big rice wine in so it won’t break before I get home they said yeah we don’t have that anymore sorry(end of conversation what??) I also got a chocolate filled pastry at the bakery inside, which is a separate business and name(Tous les Jours) and it was delicious and cheap so if you don’t want to walk or wait in line(ahem 85C) then just come here and grab one, hand them $ 2 and shove it in your face like I did. BAM, done. Finally the sidewalk is a major tripping hazard and they make it so you can’t even get through, you literally have to walk in the road(parking lot /thruway to the rest of the plaza) constantly. If I was looking for somebody to bilk a few dinar out of, I know where I’d go. And have the worst solicitors outside I don’t even know what they are saying. So yeah if you speak Korean, just go here and pretend that you don’t. Overall 3.210987 out of 5. See food. eat it.

This is probably the best Asian grocery store that I’ve found… It has the complete package… Neatness, packaging, and quality of produce, meat, seafood, and everything. The most important though is pricing. Pricing justifies all the above. Best experience here: I bought fresh salmon once and let me tell you… It was the most buttery soft salmon I’ve ever had… That or I got way better at cooking this.

I’m a fan! Clean, organized, tons of selections to choose from, ready-to-eat Asian meals aside from their bakery and a sushi/ramen/bibimbap café. Found my favorite ramen, yakisoba, kimbap, shrimp chips, a couple treats for my son, and of course kimchi. There’s a little beauty counter and a small florist counter as well. Parking can get a little crazy in this center, but it was not too crowded at 5pm on a Thursday night.

We were in the area to visit 85 Degrees bakery and were pleasantly surprised to find an H Mart right across the street near the parking structure. Thus, we opted to have lunch in the food court here after some grocery shopping. Some of the food items we ordered included the #1, #5(hot stone bibimbap), #4, and the spicy ramen. There was plenty of food to go around for everyone to sample and share. My bibimbap was delicious, and I especially liked the crispy bits of rice at the bottom of the hot stone bowl. On either side of this restaurant was a pizza place and a to-go buffet selection. Great lunch, and it’s always good to find an H Mart around!

I don’t really grocery shop at H Mart. The main reason I come here is when I feel like having Korean bbq at home, picking up some banchan sides that are prepackaged or just to explore the snacks and alcohol aisle. I like their selection of meats and marinades for Korean bbq. They are well marinated with some nice fat to meat ratio to maintain tenderness after grilling. I usually get 2lbs of short rib(galbi) and possibly 1lb of pork belly. What’s bbq without banchan?! Favorites: seaweed salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, spinach, potato salad and radish kimchi. Since my return from Korea(I spent a very short week in Seoul), I’ve been trying to look for snacks that are similar to my finds at 7-Eleven in Korea, but haven’t found anything like it… yet. The sadness! As for alcohol, not to sound like an alcoholic, but I do like to see what beers they have. I’ve seen some interesting selections like Taiwanese beer, Hite D(dry finish) and Asahi Black. I usually cruise by to see if anything new or interesting pops up, but haven’t gotten anything new in lately. Will have to see on my next visit!
