Fantastic hot pot restaurant! The service was one of the best I’ve had at an Asian restaurant. We ordered a LOT of food for four people($~110 before tax and tip), and ended up taking noodles, veggies, and the mushroom combo home. The broths were well spiced and delicious, and we did the split between spicy and not spicy. We ordered a wide variety of meat, tofu, and veggies. Everything was fresh and very enjoyable. The sauce area was convenient and you could pick and choose for whatever sauces you want. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back soon! My only complaint is that the water tastes weird, so I ordered mango green tea, which was delicious.

We’re regulars here and David always welcomes us with a great smile :) The staff here are all extremely friendly and always checks on us. Food is always great! Be careful because some of the portions can be big. We ended up ordering too much for 3 people and couldn’t finish. The ambiance is great too and is definitely a good atmosphere to bring a group or friends or come with your family to enjoy hot pot! The only gripe I have with this place is that it’s always packed and we have to wait a while before getting seated. But that’s just because they’re just that good :)

This is a great hot pot restaurant with comfortable seating, ample meats especially the lamb which it is staple, seafood, pig stomach, and plenty of vegetables. There are also a lot of sauces and condiments that goes with hot pot. The«stove» is an induction type that has no flames or hot electric coils. And there is a very good overhead ventilation system that is super quiet but keeps the air clear. I would have gotten this place five stars if it wasn’t this expensive. Though I guess the price is worth it. And if one is lucky to come on a noontime or Tuesday night they can get much more for less as I heard there are All you can eat deals on those days.

Can’t beat the lunch special for $ 10. I did ask for mild spicy and they must have thought I said«SUPERCRAZYSPICY»!!! I literally had to scoop out 50 pieces of diced chili peppers.

I really enjoy coming here. Little Sheep has grown on me, and the consistent quality of meat and veggies always keeps me coming back. The sauce bar allows custom sauces depending on what you like which is nice. And the service is good. We get beef and lamb meats, mushrooms, and spinach. Their beef skewers are good too! And the broths are flavorful. A lot of hot pot options too to cater to all tastes and diets.

I used to eat here religiously. It is a great place and the servers are good. We stopped going so frequently because we prefer Japanese hot pot(shabu). Tip: don’t kiss anyone after you eat here. High in garlic and herb breathe, equivalent to Dragon breathe, not Little Sheep breathe.

I take back what I said. Last time we came, WESAW A COCKROACHCLIMBINGUPTHEWALLRIGHTNEXTTOUS. I jumped out of a chair and an employee came up and squished it in front of us. No one said anything to us afterwards: no apology, no discount on the food we just ate… Service is also just eh. The tall Asian waiter who normally dresses in a nicer shirt and tie is also rude. Food is good but these experiences definitely dampen my opinion of this place.

The short of it: — Mongolian hot pot restaurant — long wait — has a great sauce bar — lots of items on the menu — Favs: half and half soup base, house shrimp balls, pork dumplings The long of it: Whenever its cold I always crave hot pot and Little Sheep was the pick for the night! The restaurant was really crowded, guess everyone always wants the same thing when its cold. The wait was about 30−40min and since it was a really cold night the little waiting area(if you could even really call it a waiting area) was just packed with people. It must have been really annoying for the servers to try to weave in and out of the crowd and not to mention a fire hazard. We took this waiting time to look over the menu and start marking off the items we wanted. Its really easy to get carried away and select more food than you can really eat. At first glance the food items seem reasonably priced but everything adds up. I think we spent almost $ 70 for two people. They have some combo items here that help lower the cost a little by getting combo meats(beef and lamb) and combo veggies. Our favorite items for our hot pot were the house shrimp balls(imagine a eating a cloud of shrimp, it was so delicious!) and the pork dumplings(really tasty, served raw so you have to make sure to cook it all the way through). The sauce bar here was pretty impressive, a lot of things to choose from and you can make up your own combinations if you wanted to. The service was fine and the food came quickly. I don’t know if they have some sort of slogan, but our server kept saying«You got it!» whenever we asked for something. Pretty entertaining! Overall, food satisfied my craving and I enjoyed my meal. I’m looking forward to my next visit already!

This place is so good. We always order the hot spicy pot. My favorite items to fill are the shrimp balls, ribeye, mushrooms, peeled shrimp, calamari, lamb and watercress. The tables are tightly packed. I joke if you are over 6ft tall and 220+, it will be tough for you to sit with anyone next to you. The meats and seafood are fresh and the sauce bar is amazing! Be prepared for an hour wait. We arrived 5 minutes after they opened and had to wait almost 20 minutes.

I’ve learned my lesson, not to listen to my co-workers ever again! During a lunch outing, my co-workers were mentioning of a place that one of them recommended to the other. He said«I went to Little Sheep the other day…» and he told my co-worker to pronounce it slowly this time(because when she said it, it sounded like«little sh*t». I chimed in and asked them what they were talking about and they filled me in. They also told me that there’s a Groupon and my co-worker wished he knew about it and bought it since he spent a little over $ 50 for 2 people. The Groupon was for $ 22 for $ 40 worth of food for 4 people. Since he said he spent $ 50 for 2 people, i decided to buy the one worth more. little did I know, there was a minimum of 4 people present. This was a struggle for me. The Groupon’s fine print is that it doesn’t allow you to use it on any promotion… I wasn’t even aware that they had any. Apparently they offer AYCE for $ 20 per person on Tuesdays. Not bad! But I had to order everything a la carte. The broth is different from anything I’ve tasted for hot pot. Of course for every food or flavor, there are people who either like it or don’t like it. I thought it was okay… it has that Chinese herbal taste to it that I’m not too much of a fan of. I burned my tongue on the initial spoon to mouth motion. and my meal wasn’t the same after that. I ordered the broth half and half. There was wayyyy too many chili things in the spicy side which gave it a kick but also left a pepper in every bite. We ordered a bunch of glass noodles, cabbage/vegetables, meat and other things. I felt like without the Groupon, it would be so expensive for me. The extra $ I had to pay was tax and tip which wasn’t too bad. The service was whatever, I guess I didn’t expect much from an Asian establishment(pretty used to it by now). There is a sauce bar that you can help yourself with but the bowls and utensils were pretty dirty that I just didn’t want to grab anything. The thing I really hated about this place was the wait and there was favoritism amongst those who spoke Chinese. Also, I kept having to check up on my progress for the table and I felt like I was being skipped because the employee’s homies came. We waited for about 2 hours for a table and was assured that we would get a table even if we got seated late. We got seated at 9 when we came at 7PM and was told that our last call was at 9:30PM. So even if we got in at 9:30PM, we would have to order everything last call. Friendly tip — MAKERESERVATIONS! For the food, I thought was meh. I will not be back. It’s expensive and not very great however, it would probably be more of value during their AYCE.

I’m not very experienced with hot pot, so this was pretty new to me. Our server, and later the owner, came out and explained everything to us. I came in a group of 9 at about 2pm, and there was no wait. The restaurant is in a bar type layout as far as seating goes. You are handed 2 menus. First step is to pick your broth, spicy miso is the most popular. You can request extra hot drops to make it even spicier. Next you choose either option 1, option 2, or lunch special which is the most limited. They all have appetizer options and different meat options. Lunch option which is the most limited is $ 17.99, option 1 is $ 21, option 2 is $ 30 but includes some higher end options. They are all AYCE. Your bowl of boiling broth comes out next, then a plate of vegetables for you to cook. Then comes the meat and appetizers you selected. You place the vegetables and meat in the boiling broth with your chopsticks, swish it around, with the owners chant«shabu shabu swish swish» then it’s ready. The meat is sliced pretty thin so it cooks fast. It’s definitely a fun experience, i recommend to try it out if you haven’t.

First just let me say that I’m not the type who likes having to cook his food at the table… HOWEVER, I’ll gladly do the chore at Little Sheep! The taste is fantastic! Loved the beef in spicy broth… And the hot sake is a good compliment. No disappointment here. :-) Have to say that David took very good care of us … Introduced us to these yummy juice drinks and their delicious ice cream desserts! Must try!!!

If you’re starving and you come here… prepare to drop some cash. My friend and I made that mistake when we came here the day after some holiday… I think it was Halloween. How it works is you pay for the soup base and any side you want is additional cost. Want veggies? Meat? Some mushrooms perhaps? All this adds up. Because of how costly the meal gets, I have to deduct one star. However, despite their pricing. I love how extensive their menu is. Any Asian side you’d hope for in your hot pot, it’s there(fish balls, taro roots, daikon, YOUNAMEIT). If you’re an indecisive person, you might want to bring a friend who will make those calls. Otherwise, you’ll be like me and take over 20 minutes to order order. Another great thing is their sauce bar. I love being able to get my own sauces so I load up on whatever my heart desires. Their sha cha sauce is ONPOINT. Definitely grab yourself some of that for the meat. They also have additional sides like minced garlic and green onions that you can grab as well. With this sauce bar, the world is your oyster. Last good thing I wanted to point out is that their pots are split in half so you can get one side spicy and one side without. Its’s great for those friends who can’t handle the heat. Or you can just pick the same soup base for both. This place does get poppin’ on the weekends so try to come a little earlier if you don’t want to deal with a wait. Overall A for good service, great ambiance, and great food.

Holy spicy! Great place to grab lunch if you can make it to their special. It is a little different than other hot pot-shabu places. Large Asian clientele with typical asian service– so nothing to write home about there. What I do love about this place is their sauce bar… if theres one thing I love more than a bunch of sauces, it is having said bunches of sauces at my fingertips buffet style! I’m a sucker for garlic and onions(and that is probably why I’m still single …) so it’s like putting a kid in a candy store…

Hot pot is one of my favorite foods to eat so I was excited to have dinner at Little Sheep last night. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it too much and would much rather eat at Boiling Point nearby. Firstly, I’m not a huge fan of having to select and purchase all your meat/veggies separately. The number of options is kind of overwhelming and it’s also a lot more expensive than other hot pot restaurants. Our meal for two came out to about $ 50(although we did order a lot of meat). Secondly, I don’t like their broths. We got the half/half pot — one is spicy and the other is not. The broths were VERY flavorful but I didn’t like how they tasted. Thirdly, the self-serve sauce bar provides a lot of options but I didn’t like any of them. And lastly, I prefer having an individual pot rather than having to share it with others. Overall, Little Sheep was okay but I’d much rather get my hot pot fix somewhere else.

Huo guo makes me happy, yes even Mongolian style… I just love love hot pot ^-^ Hot pot means that not only do I get to socialize while cooking with friends/family, but I also get to eat some yummy soup! I always get a split pot here with half spicy/half non-spicy broths. Both are tasty on their own and I tend to cook different ingredients in each. There’s no up-charge for doing this, so why not?! When compared to other hot pot places in the area, all of the ingredients and the broths here taste the freshest and the meat quality is great! Coming to this location also saves me the long drive to the 626(which is already a struggle, amplified by the major food-coma on the way back home). Yes, I even like this place better than Boiling Point. Why? Because I’m not stuck with one broth AND I get to choose the ingredients I want. I originally tried this place last year because of the Crazy Tuesday AYCE special they run only during summer time which is a great deal because we tend to eat a lot… I’ve also come here on a normal(non-AYCE) night, and it definitely hurts the wallet since everything you order is à la carte. ouch! Despite this, it’s still definitely a go-to spot for me… especially on Tuesdays during the summer 8)

Nothing much more to add to other Unilocalers’ reviews. Come here for AYCE on Tuesdays but make sure to arrive early if you have big groups because lines do start before they open for dinner at 5:30. My group of 6 came at 5 and stood our place until they opened. We got seated right away. Sauce bar is very comprehensive and service is attentive. My favorite of the night: quail egg! Make sure you don’t leave them in too long because they’ll taste like rubber when you pull them out. Definitely get the half&half spicy and nonspicy broths because the spicy one isn’t even spicy. Especially once you start eating the peppers within it, the new broth added in really dilutes the spice. Do take advantage of unlimited broth refills though because otherwise, the broth will become wayy too salty. Good quality meat and decent quality vegetables. It’s too much to eat often but maybe next year, I’ll be back to bankrupt the restaurant once again!

I was very happy with my experience here at Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot. With chains all over California, I honestly believe that the quality is great at every location I’ve been to. The only thing that stops me from coming here so often are the high prices. My family and I believe that it is a bit ridiculous to charge $ 3.50 per person for the broth, since normally you would think they would be making enough money from their entrees. But if you are a fan of flavorful broths, this is definitely the hot pot place for you. My family and I ordered a variety of entrees including fish fillet, egg noodles, ribeye, beef tripe, shrimp balls, and much more. All of the meats were super tender and flavorful, especially when cooked in your favorite broth or dipped in your desired sauces. Also, all of the seafood options were very delicious and satisfying as well. The food, the sauces, everything was superb. As for customer service, the employees and manager are very nice as well. One thing that really stood out to me were their different options of sauces to choose from. Near the entrance, there’s an «assembly line» of sauces to choose from and plenty of bowls and sauce dishes to fill these sauces up in, self-serve style. They also have chopped toppings as well such as green onions, ginger, and cilantro. I like this setup better because if you were to ask a waiter for sauce, you may not even get it by the end of your dinner since this place is pretty jam-packed with hungry people. We waited an hour on a weekend for dinner, but it was definitely worth the wait. If you’re looking for a great and filling dinner to eat at, Little Sheep is the place to go to.

The house soup has a lot of herbs which are good for you that taste very unique not like other hot pot places. My first time here I wasn’t too used to the soup that I didn’t like it then the second time I came I must of acquired a taste to it. I don’t eat a lot of Magnolia food when its a lot of meat. I wouldn’t know much about this cuisine. All Chinese food of different provinces use more of certain spices or add herbs to their foods. They do have a sauce bar that you can get different sauces to dip your meats, veggies or other food for more flavor. I suggest you try it without the sauces first when it might taste good that way. I like how all the food they have is very fresh especially the high quality meat served here makes me want to come back.

Updating my review because I finally got to try their AYCE Tuesday special! For $ 19.95/person it’s AYCE for lunch & dinner on Tuesdays only! Little Sheep is my FAVORITE hot pot spot EVER. I go for their broth. My friend and I came half an hour prior to opening because we knew the line was going to get long and it sure did. By the time they opened, there was already a grip of people waiting outside. We got seated and ordered right away. They give you the menu and you mark what you want. During the 1st round, each person gets 3 items. During the 2nd round, each person gets 2 and repeat for the next rounds. It only has 4 rounds on the paper but at the bottom in tiny print, it says unlimited rounds. They most likely do it like this to prevent people from over ordering and wasting food. The time limit for dining is 1.5 hours and they charge you for any extra left over food so make sure to eat it all or hide it in your broth: P We did the ying yang soup base-½ spicy, ½ regular. They offer a wide variety of different meats, veggies, noodles and etc. We ordered Angus Beef, fish fillet, enoki mushrooms, fresh thick noodles, tong ho, potatoes, lotus root, rice and 2 hot dishes – sesame pancake & lamb dumplings. The quality of their beef was great. Definitely recommend ordering that. Fish fillet – not so much, pass! The fresh thick noodles are my favorite type of noodles they offer – it’s also the noodles they include in their $ 9.99 weekly lunch special. The sesame pancake isn’t really a pancake. We expected something thin and flat but it was the exact opposite. It was a giant bread with sesame on top. I think it’s more of a dessert because it came with a sweet, sticky & thick dipping sauce – I think it was condensed milk? Anyways, it wasnt bad because I really like bread but the name is a little misleading. The lamb dumplings were whatever. Nothing special – just tasted like regular steamed dumplings, pass! Service was great even though they were crazy busy! Our server came by multiple times to refill our broths and water without asking. All in all, the AYCE deal is DEFINITELY worth it in my opinion. If not, go for their lunch special-$ 9.99 M-F!
