Four years later, OC DinDin-A-GoGo keeps going strong. If nothing else you have to admire OC DinDin-A-GoGo’s longevity, they came in the midst of the great food truck revelation and the weekly round up is still alive and kicking 2 years after the scene’s cool off. That is something that the nearby Teller Lot round up and countless food trucks themselves cannot say. You know the drill: 10 to 15 food trucks show up in front of Boomers in Irvine which offers ample parking and space to set up your folding chairs and table(if you are a food truck pro, that is). You are also encouraged to bring your dog so long as you clean up after any of their messes, something you really ought to be doing anyway. The variety of trucks still remains strong and many of the old school trucks from the good old days will still show up now and again. The Lime Truck, Dos Chinos, Lobsta Truck and even the Burnt Truck can be expected now and again. All that is missing is Kogi(they frequent the K1 Speed on Von Karman about 2 miles away). The only downers are that there is no grassy area and the blacktop can get really hot in the middle of summer and that the highway access is less than ideal. Those quibbles aside, it is still fun to hit the gourmet food trucks now and then. Come out Irvine and eat like it is 2012 again!

What a fun place to spend a Tuesday night. My boyfriend and I try to make it a regular thing. There are so many fun trucks to eat from, liking the lobster roll truck and smashzilla as two faves. The price isn’t cheap but it’s a fun splurge.

I love coming here! So many options and food is great. Great atmosphere and the chefs in the trucks really care about their food. I heard last week they have to move it and won’t be there anymore. Where’s it going?!? Please don’t leave me. Everyone always leaves me.

Definitely as good as it gets when it comes to food truck meet-ups in OC! Great selections of trucks every week and nice area with lots of parking. I wish they had more grass area to sit and eat, but bring a picnic blanket or a fold out table and chairs and you’ll be set!

Came here last night with hubby and a friend. The trucks start arriving around 4:30pm, but didn’t all get here until 7pm. There were a total of 10 trucks. A few asian/latin fusion, Filipino, sushi, burnt truck(burgers, etc), a hot dog truck, an argentine truck, a shave ice truck, and some others. We tried the White Rabbit truck, the Asian/Latin Fusion truck, and the shave ice truck. My husband and I got a chicken thai curry burrito from the Asian/Latin Fusion truck, pork and steak tacos from the White Rabbit, and a thai tea/condensed milk/mochi shave ice. The food was good, a bit pricey, but that’s what you get with fancy food trucks. Overall the variety was decent and the trucks come every week, so it’s a nice local staple to have. I would definitely come back and try some new dishes or trucks. I’m a fan! Note: some of the trucks accept credit cards, but not all, so bring cash!

Now that I am no longer a first timer on food truck gatherings, I am so truckin’ excited, that I’m a go-go again next week! Located in the parking lot area of the Irvine Lanes, there are about 6 – 8 food trucks that are parked. Locals actually have their friends, families and beach chairs set up for some simple al fresco dining. Very fun atmosphere and a great mix of menus all around. I had checked out the Burnt Truck, Cousins Maine Lobster, and The Grilled Cheese truck. There are others who are featured weekly, so best to go and check it out! First time to try: The Burnt Truck — very good. Cousins — yummy, The Grilled Cheese Truck — meh. so-so. I wanted to try Dogzilla, but oooh way too full. Noted for next time. Perks: Fun with the friends or family. Also, dog friendly area. KNOW before you GO: Its mainly outdoor seating. There are grassy patches nearby to sit on, or sometimes people eat in their car, while others have a grand set up of beach chairs and/or beach mats. Some trucks can be cash only, so have some just in case. OverALL: Worth a try to stop and have a quick bite, or to hang out on a summer night.

Not a bad collection of trucks. Your experience can be hit or miss depending on which food trucks are out. There are definitely a lot more trucks once the weather gets warmer. There are some grassy spots in the parking lot so on several occasions my husband and I have come here with our camping chairs and table and make a night of it. My favorite food truck is the Burnt Food Truck. The sliders are good and very reasonably priced. They usually offer some kind of fruit tea and it’s delicious. There is also a Japanese burrito truck(can’t remember the name) with a lobster burrito that’s pretty good. Dog owners, this is a dog friendly zone!

Bring the whole family and Fido too. Always a good variety. 8 trucks tonight. There’s something for everyone. The trucks accept credit cards too.

Fun event on Tuesday nights. Easy to find location near boomers and parking is not difficult. People mostly sit on the curbs or on the small patches of grass to eat. Not too many people so I wouldnt worry about lines or anything. Best to bring cash. The quality of the food is based on the food trucks so I cant really say much. The event had about 7 or so food trucks of various types. Notable ones were the burnt truck, lime truck, california grill truck, sohotaco, ragin cajun and some others. Might come back just to see what other trucks come here but as far as I know there is no way to tell in advance so it’s going to be hit or miss most times.

This thing is waaaayy overrated. The food is disgusting. Since when did we all start believing good tasting food came out from the back of a truck??? Obviously the idea of food trucks are just a novelty trend like POGS. remember those? Amazing how image plays such a factor in peoples decision making process. Cheap crap food is still crap food no matter if it comes from a cool looking truck. Cool! I got some overpriced gross kimchi pork tacos cooked off a radiator!

I feel like this is somewhat of a hit or miss type of thing, depending on what trucks are present as well as the choices you make. The first time I went with family, and we bought Asian inspired tacos and shaved ice, among other things, and everything was delicious. It was a bit pricey considering the portion sizes, but hey, that’s what I’ve come to expect from most food trucks anyway. The next time I went, I was a bit disappointed. Got a chicken skewer and it was pretty much burnt to a crisp. Gross. I also ordered a ceviche which wasn’t bad, but it was unusually small for the price. However, overall, it’s a really fun experience and most of the time, the food has been good.

I visited DinDin-a-GoGo for the first time last night and it was both fun and delicious! I thought it was funny people actually set up tables kind of like tailgating outside the bowling alley! The trucks last night included the LIME truck, Seabirds, Bakerytruck, Slummin’ Gourmet and a few others. What a cool idea I’ve driven by so many times and I finally got the balls to try it. Slummin’Gourmet — my friend and I ordered the vanilla-ish cream filled churro, best churro I’ve ever had hands down, can’t wait to try the caramel next time!!! My friend ordered the hot dog which he said was good but he wasn’t obsessed with it. We went near closing time and so we actually got free mango mint tea that was pretty good. Bakerytruck — delicious! We ordered the freshly baked cookies and cream puffs. I had the strawberry chocolate cream puff and my friend had the world’s greatest cream puff or something, I think it had pecans on top! I don’t typically like cream puffs but these had some sort of custard in it which made it more flavorful than usual and not so bland. The chocolate chip cookies were definitely fresh but for me personally they had too many chocolate chip, YES I am out of the norm here I know because that was my friends favorite part about them. The other trucks we still have yet to try but I look forward to going back and checking them out! Guess this means I’ll need to start exercising more! Oh, they also close at 9 pm, so come before then!

A food truck gathering? Yes please! I don’t remember all of the trucks that came out tonight, but I do remember the Lime Truck, Piaggio’s, Garlicscapes, and Sexy Burger. There was a cookie one and a bacon one too, but I don’t remember the names. The location is in a pretty spacious parking lot at Irvine Lanes(next to Boomer’s). Plenty of parking and plenty of grass space/curbsides to sit on while munching on yummy food. One thing to note is that there was only one garbage can here. Not sure if that’s normal for this location, but having 6 – 7 food trucks, a bunch of customers, and one garbage can makes for a VERY overfilled garbage can. I want to try out the Food Truck Fare at the fairgrounds to compare with this place. I love me some food trucks!

Good food, good trucks that come out. Came here after working out — bad, I know, and I was hankering for some good food truck food. Came out around 7ish to see tons of cars parked out with tons of people craving salty, fried goodness. There’s a good variety of trucks out there, and it cycles so there’s no need to feel that every week will be the same. I was bummed this particular week to not see Seabirds because I LOVE them. Overall good place with tons of varieties, and though there’s not alot of places nearby to sit and eat, you can eat on the curb. The one bad thing that I noticed was there was only one trash can, so if you’re the unlucky one to pile on your food trash onto the mountain of trash, only to have it crash and fall down in front of everyone, I feel for you. I’d definitely try this place though if you’re into the food truck scene though since it’s got a good variety!

Food Trucks Galore! A bunch of food trucks gather around in a parking lot every week and please the crowds. It’s an awesome idea and I was so glad that I went with my friend despite being initially reluctant. It was freezing cold the day that I went so we ended up just grabbing our food and eating in our cars. It was still a lot of fun. The food truck rally is located in the parking lot right next to Boomers or the Irvine Lanes Bowling Alley. Bring cash, it makes the transactions much faster but most of the trucks do take credit cards. I saw some people with chairs and such so that might be a good idea when it starts to warm up. I suggest bringing your own drinks because they are severely overpriced. According to my friend, some of the food trucks are there every week, but there are a couple that rotate so hopefully on the day you go, you’ll get some good trucks. I sampled from 4 different trucks and they were all pretty tasty so I’m sure you’ll be satisfied either way. 5⁄5!

Every Tuesday, a gathering of food trucks join together at the Irvine Lanes Bowling Alley parking lot to create a social/eating event. I arrive about when it starts(6pm) and the lines aren’t too long. I’m a regular at Dos Chinos(Asian/Mexican fusion FT), because their Bolsa Pork Burrito is always calling to me. Other FT’s that I’ve seen are Dogzilla, Spuds, The Lime Truck, and Rolling Sushi Van. Lots of variety to choose from, and usually prices are fair. But in my opinion, Lime Truck prices are a little absurd. It’s a really fun event. I’ve seen groups of family and friends whip out picnic tables, or even just lounge about in truck beds. OC DinDin-A-GoGo is great to get a quick dinner/snack and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday night with activities that are right there, like bowling or maybe some mini-golf at Boomers.

I’m not so familiar with the evolution schemata of the food truck gathering, but I must forewarn ye: Back in the inceptive days of OCDDAGG, this was *the* spot to meet up with that elusive new truck. Formerly home to such occasional favorites as Lomo Arigato, Dogzilla, Chunk-N-Chip and Lobsta Truck(among a handful of others), OCDDAGG used to flourish with foodies and bowlers and waves of eager consumers, surrounded by a warm security blanket of various trucks. Nowadays, it’s… comfortable. If you are searching far and wide for your consistent go-to, your ol’ reliable, then OCDDAGG is the place to be. At present, these evenings range from ‘somewhat exciting’ to ‘surely tolerable.’ Dos Chinos is thankfully a regular, as well as the Lime Truck and Piaggio(if you’re into that kinda thing). It would be surprising these days to see more than 50 dinner-goers at one time. Bottom line: it’s definitely uh… evolved. For better or for worse? You decide.

My second trip here was even better, although I have to point out that there were many more people than last time… but to be honest, that did not phase me at all because there were more(and better) food trucks. This time around, Waffles de Liege, Dogzilla, Lee’s Philly’s, Lime Truck, Lobsta Truck, Kona Ice, Dog Chinos, and a Ramen Truck all made appearances. Though the lines were longer, it was still just as fun as last time(though the only line that was outstandingly long was the one for the Lobsta Truck… crazy)! And though I’ve offered tips for OC DinDin-A-GoGo in my last review, I have one more to share: –Bring your own water unless you want to try a specialty drink from one of the food trucks. I could’ve saved $ 1 just by bringing my own water. But in any case, I fall in love with the OC DinDIn-A-GoGo everytime I GoGo there.

Want a fun, creative dinner idea to finish off Hump Day? Head over to the Irvine Lanes parking lot between 5:30 and 9:00 and take your pick from some of the best food trucks in Orange County. This is just like the Food Truck Roundup that happens on Wednesday afternoons just up the street, except I think that the truck selection is better and it’s not as crowded. Last night there were 9 or 10 trucks, including Dogzilla, the Lime Truck, Dos Chinos, and other Orange County staple trucks. There was literally no wait for any of the trucks, although I arrived at 6:00 which may have been on the early side. There isn’t anywhere to sit, so some people brought their own camping/beach folding chairs(excellent idea), just stood around, or ate tailgate-style out of the backs of their SUVs or trucks. Entrance is free! Check out for the day’s lineup for this and most other food truck gatherings in LA/OC.
