Been to all the alleged so-called upper crust steak joints such as Houston’s, Ruth Chris, Roy’s, Morton’s, Lone Star, Etc and etc. For pure value, quality, and taste, the Victoria’s Filet Milon can’t be beat. Period. Great every time! Broccoli, sweet potatoes and Sydney’s Sinful can’t be beat! Bam!

Following graduation for dinner for 8, we arrived early to an uncrowded restaurant, and had called ahead the day before and the day of to secure a table. We were placed in a far corner with two tables pushed together, which was fine. That is where it all fell apart. I don’t know if they were short staffed, or what the issue was, but service was the worst I have ever experienced at any restaurant. No one to bus the table. No bread offered. Blooming onion with no plates for sharing. Plates left on table way longer than necessary, and when my daughter told the server(not the waiter) she ordered a baked potato instead of the mashed that were brought, he actually argued with her, that it was not the end of the world. She had not argued, just mentioned that is not what she ordered. Dinner served, and sweet potatoes were way overcooked to the point of baby mush. When we ordered dessert, one would think plates would be cleared… But no… we had to navigate amongst dinner plates and now dessert plates at an already too small table space. On whole, TWO hours of the slowest, worst service ever! The actual waiter was a pretty nice guy, but seemed to be the only waiter in the place. This was a Thursday night, and I would not recommend Irvine Outback to anyone, but especially not for a special occassion where your bill is 200.00 plus.

When we got there, our choice was to wait an hour and a half for indoor seating, or an immediate availability outside. We were hungry, so we sat outside. Our server was slow and a little grumpy and didn’t clear our table after our starters. That said, the food was very good and reasonably priced.

Still not thrilled with Outback. Mediocre steaks. Not a lot of flavor. I look like a dog trying to chew on a plastic chew toy when I attempt to eat there fatty piece of steak. Over the years, the quality has seemed to have gone down. Positives: Great appetizers and I absolutely love the Wallaby Darned drink. I always get the blue cheese wedge. I am never disappointed with it. Good service, prompt and on point. Usually don’t have to wait too long or you can call ahead to put your name in. Nice feature.

I had dinner with my family for mother’s day! The food is what you can expect from a regular American dining(steak, pasta, and so on). However, service at this Irvine Outback is outstanding that servers are very nice and kind. It’s a pretty neat and spacious place for family dining, but it does not open for lunch during weekdays. I love their complimentary appetizer bread(want to buy some for breakfast) For tip: You can sometimes find some discount coupons on the internet!

We had gone to Outback Steakhouse for the first time ever in Maui. They kids enjoyed it so much that in the week we were there we had dinner or lunch at outback at least four times. Since our experience was so great there kids wanted to go to outback here at home. BIGMISTAKE! Should have kept our memories and great service and food from Maui. Started from when we got seated. Server was not the best. Took our orders(party of 7… 2 adults 5 kids). Three of our party ordered steaks. 2 sirloin, 1 rib eye, one kid ordered macaroni and cheese, 1 ordered the kids medallion steak, one ordered adult teriyaki medallion steak and I ordered the cesear salad with shrimp. They first brought out are order in two separate sessions ten minutes apart! So one half got food before other half. Second they got my daughters sirloin steak confused with a medallion kids steak… So we had to wait another 12 minutes for her to get her food after everyone was almost done. Very very disappointed. $ 131. To waste! Never will go back!

I’ve been here quite a few times for their sirloin petite steak and it doesn’t disappoint. I love their bread and butter that they give you, warm bread with butter is always a fave of mine. The interior is dimly lit which kind of puts me to sleep, but overall not a bad place to go for food although word of caution everything is sodium overload here from the soups to the steaks, a tad bit salty for my taste, and I happen to really like salt on food

3.5 Came here for baby sisters second birthday meal :) I think it’s quite random to have an Outback in Irvine especially considering the demographic hehe ;) I would have never gone here if it weren’t for my sisters tastes in restaurants: p So we walk in and get seated immediately in a booth. The service took awhile to get to us at first but after that he was a great server, just a little overworked and understaffed. Not his fault. So when we go to Outback we always order the wings. They’re lightly battered with a little Cajun kick to them. Always hot and fresh, never overcooked. My sister ordered their potato soup and I ordered the French onion soup. The French onion soup comes out super HOT!!! Gotta wait a few minutes so it can cool down. Once cooled down, it was good. Nice layer of cheese and chunks of onion and spongy bread bits. I knew exactly what I wanted for my meal, their commercials advertising the sirloin steak combo dishes called my name. I forgot which one I choose but it was supposed to come with a wild rice mix. I asked him for an extra side of mashed potatoes and instead he only gave me mashed potatoes GRRRRR, to me the rice mix was another reason why I wanted this!!! The sirloin was cooked the way I wanted(medium rare,) but it was a little bland. Needed some S&P badly!!! That’s ok I repurposed it at home. My sister ordered her favorite chop salad and the special mac and cheese. My mom ordered the crab stuffed tilapia. My sister loved her salad as usual and the mac and cheese was addicting!!! We had LOW expectations of this and boy were we wrong. We all loved it! My mom loved her dish and she said tasted so much better when she reheated it on the stove top. I’m just glad my family enjoyed their meals. The meal was just ok for me hence the 3 star, Outback for what it is usually is a 4 star for me but the sirloin meal made me dock a star. I’d come back with my sister. Anything for her :)

Outback used to be way better couple of years ago, recently had a party of nine and ordered different foods, sadly no body was happy with food taste and quality, there is a reason this place was almost empty when we arrived.

Face it, at a chain steak restaurant you’re not going to get top quality steaks. But if you want some beef and don’t want to pay top-drawer steakhouse prices for your dinner, this is definitely an option. And there apparently is a large budget-conscious population in Irvine because this place is always packed. I’ve stopped here a couple times in the last 4 years only to be told there is an hour wait. Trust me, this place isn’t worth that long a wait(and I didn’t). But I recently came for an early dinner(5:30) and was seated immediately even though it was already nearly a full house. My waitress for the evening was all business, not really friendly; she just did her job and provided good service. I ordered an 8oz filet mignon, medium rare, and chose sides of a house salad and cooked veggies. The filet had good flavor and was fairly tender but was cooked medium and had quite a bit of silverskin. The house salad and veggies were both good but standard. I ordered dessert — a salted caramel cookie containing white chocolate, toffee and pretzel pieces, served in a skillet, and topped with vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce. While it sounded great it was, instead, disappointing. It was advertised as being«warm» but was room temperature; the skillet was not even warm to the touch. The cookie was far too salty with occasional hints of sweetness. It was quite hard around the edges and rather dry. The ice cream was delicious and helped to moisten the cookie. 2.5 stars but I’m rounding up even though I shouldn’t since they have the gall to charge over $ 3 for a glass of iced tea. As a quick aside, I was sitting next to a table with a loud-mouthed braggart who was telling his friends how brilliant and highly successful he was and all I could think of was«mmmmhmmmm…and you’re eating at Outback…»

This is for all the Outbacks. The food is sub standard and the advertisement is false. They tell you all these specials and you cannot find one Restraunt is Southern California that honors their specials. Service usually sucks and the food for their prices follow suit. Please quit giving false advertisement in Southern California I don’t care about the small disclaimer you might have that we can’t see when we all watch your commercials. It’s just not ethical advertisement. So please quit it Outback!!!

I love me some Outback! My ATF location is the Wesminister one but now that my sister moved to Irvine and we moved out of state :(we came to this one when we were in town and the food is just as good as the other location! We came in on a Sunday night for dinner, it still was a good amount of people around 7ish, and our waiter was super busy but was able to keep his cool and leave a great impression on us. I hate steak but I love their sides, salads, soups and bread! I could come back to Outback every week and be in heaven LOL! My mom really loves their fish, it’s always fresh and delicious! She’s had their fish tacos and tilapia and both are very good! My sister is the meat eater, and she loves their meat, she had their new special and she liked it! As for me, I always get the pecan and blue cheese salad which is CRACK! The loaded potato soup is soo good, I could really eat a bowl of that! Also they have new sides and I got their Steakhouse Mac & Cheese! They use the right noodles for it and a perfect blend of cheeses! As always I have to order their chicken wings, no sauce, just breaded with ranch and its sooo good! Don’t forget about their crack bread! Our waiter was so good he gave us 2 loaves to take home and he brought out some apple butter! Our meal was so enjoyable, I was in a food coma! I’m definitely coming back when I’m in town! Thanks for a great birthday meal big sis! ^__^

New Roasted Sirloin was OK. Met expectations. Service was disappointing. Server didn’t really seem to like her job. Not attentive, friendly or welcoming whatsoever. It was as if we were an interruption to her day, rather than the reason for it. There are plenty of places with comparable food and superior service. No reason to go back.

I’m not sure why I have not learned that… The service is poor and the food is simply horrible… I think each time I try to give it ago… I hope for improvement and yet, see or taste none. It’s either time to get some new management or new menus, outback it’s your choice…

The only reason this is not a 1-star is because in the past, this Outback has been a 3 in terms of consistent family dinner steakhouses. The last 2 times we came, food has been going downhill. This time, the bread was cold /hard. Meat had gristle on it. I usually am able to order a Caesar salad with scallops instead of chicken/shrimp, but couldn’t do it this time– not even for an upcharge. The romaine lettuce in my salad was still partially frozen– as in, I had ice in my salad. Our waiter didn’t smile or make an effort to be pleasant. He took our order, checked in once and delivered our check.(Usually our service has been a lot better). Oh well. Rather disappointing– hope this place isn’t declining.

Service was very good with cheerful faces eager to please. The menu is highly over-priced for the quality of the food prep offered. My husband got sick hours later after eating portabella filet dinner. It was his birthday! He received a nice complimentary dessert for his birthday, minus the ice cream topping. We were told the refrigerator door had been left open and the ice crème melted. Unbelievable! I don’t think will be going back there anytime soon!

I wandered in today for a late lunch and although the place was empty, Adam the bartender rushed right over to help me. He was super friendly and asked me what i wanted to drink. When I told him I don’t drink alcohol, he offered to make me a special mango drink, and it was wonderful! My order came out perfectly. I had the Happy Hour coconut shrimp, which was 4 shrimp for $ 4.99 and the house salad. Adam brought me bread and butter and I was a happy camper. We chatted and he was genuinely interested in me as a person and in my dining experience. Very far from the usual, «What’s your order, ma’am?» and slapping it on the table and walking away. I see why people keep writing good reviews about him. All in all, it Outback did it all right today. ;)

Holy Cow Batman… lets destroy the taste of our meats… Is the Joker or two-face working in the kitchen? I thought Catgirl or Harley Quinn… perhaps even all four of them. *SMH* that may kind of describe better how this experience went… Pro Tip: Do not have a teriyaki steak here… you wont even taste anything but the glaze that is über overpowering… The munchkin got the ribs and they were falling apart but they were anything but great… the fries that she got with it were also substandard… At least they didn’t mess up the house salad and the potato soup was good. None the less only being able to pull off a salad and a cup of coup is not a great accomplishment for a well known chain like this. Then again, perhaps I should have expected nothing more than this. Talk about being sorely disappointed. To cap things off even better the service was slow and not even close to being en pointe. The staff seemed to be rather lackadaisical and aloof… you do not have time to finish your appetizer before the salads/soups arrive and then don’t have time to finish those items before the meal arrives… That stinks especially as it took a significant amount of time to get the appetizer… let alone you end up eating carbs with the rolls while waiting for your bloomen onion, or at least that is what we had happen =\ So I suggest that you go somewhere else as a much better option. Literally anywhere would be a better option =)
