A Regular is a huge sandwich. Good and tasty. A little pricey for me.

Some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Been visiting this place for many years now and the food is always very consistent. Recently discovered their breakfast burritos and they are also really good!

Been here a few times and every time they get the order wrong! Always check to make sure what’s on your sandwich because chances are something is missing or they have added something you don’t want. The cold cuts are sub par and the cheese is always wrong. Seriously how can you not make a sandwich right

For a quick sandwich shop in a business complex this place is pretty good. It is right across from my gym and I thought I would try it out and got the regular sized Italian sandwich. It came out to about $ 6.50 for a regular which was pretty nicely sized and pretty reasonably priced for a sandwich in the OC. I placed the order for pick up over the phone and it was ready really quick! The sandwich had plenty of meat, The meat was okay, not the best quality in the world but tasty. The veggies and dressing were really tasty! They gave the sandwich quite a bit of zing and flavor and made the sandwich moist and delicious. I really enjoyed it and would definitely order from here again.

I crave these sandwiches on a daily basis. The ingredients are so fresh and refreshing. The squaw(however you spell it) bread is heavenly!

First off, I eat a lot. Not only that, I eat a lot of sandwiches. I am a sandwich fiend. One of my favorites foods is sandwiches. Customizable every«wich» way(sorry, I had to), where can you go wrong? Not everyone can make a great sandwich, but the Sandwich King does. And can. Rightful is his role as king. I get the club sandwich #3. Turkey, bacon, and avocado. One of two things I want to mention here is how amazing the avocado is. Perfectly seasoned and mixed with mayo(mayo haters, peace out). It completes the sandwich. The second thing I want to mention is the squaw bread. I almost exclusively opt for sourdough with sandwiches, but this squaw! I want to write love letters to it. It is love.

Consistently great food. Clean, healthy and wholesome, whole foods that are delicious and fresh! Today I had their egg salad sandwich and creamy potato soup… so glad I chose this place, it couldn’t be yummier! I’ve eaten here for over a year and everything I’ve ever tried has been top notch.

The sandwiches are something I could easily make in my own kitchen. Definitely not $ 8 worthy. Also, these people think white bread is sourdough, so be warned that they don’t actually have sourdough.

NOT A FAN! This was our first time here so we needed a little time to review the menu. Usually at most places when you say this the person will usually do other things or pretend to do other things until your ready. Well not this guy… so instead of doing other things or recommending sandwiches to try he stands there looking at me and my friend as if to hurry us up in our decision making process– this didn’t help at all. STRIKE1. So no big deal I just thought he was impatient. Next after sitting down I start unwrapping my sandwich and unloading unnecessary amounts of lettuce I then take a bite and discover there is no sauce, mayo or mustard. I am not used to this but I know other people don’t like sauces but I do. So I’m thinking no big deal I will just quickly grab some so I walk up to the counter and ask do the sandwiches come with mayo or mustard(thinking maybe they just forgot to add it) but i was met with a rushed and drawn out NOOO as if I have better things to do and didn’t even bother to offer getting me some. So I wait as I can not eat a dry sandwich and I ask him if I can have some mayo and mustard. He could have easily went to get the mayo and mustard but instead he delivers 3 orders to people while im still there patiently waiting. You can tell when a person knows what there doing and he knew that he was being rude. STRIKE2. I then ask him if he was the owner and for his name he shook his head yes and tells me his name is Paul. In doing some research on some of these reviews Paul has made a few comments and this guy looks nothing like him so I’m not really sure what to make of that. I do know that by asking him that question this must have immediately put things into perspective as he straightened right on up and started being nice. I ended up choosing the grilled chicken sandwich. The meat was dry and there was nothing special about it. Definitely not good enough for me to come back and give this place a second chance. STRIKE3. Do yourself a favor and just stick to Subway or Jersey Mikes.

I just went in for coffee and ended up getting a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. One word: amazing!

My rating is based primarily on customer service and their amazing BLTA. Paul the owner is a great guy. I met him last year and on my 2nd visit he remembered my name, my daughter’s name and asked me how my parents were doing because they met him a few days prior. I often walk to Sandwich King from my office in the afternoon to get iced coffee. The quality of the iced coffee is not on par with a $ 4.00 coffeehouse coffee but there it’s not $ 4.00 and there is something magical about it. It is powerful and restarts my day. The BLTA is awesome! Their bacon is always cooked perfectly and every avocado looks perfect as well. The greens and tomatoes are fresh too. For a snack, I pop over there to get hard boiled eggs. Recently they added FREE Wi-Fi and it is fast. I also found out that they do catering. If you want fancy, go to a fancy restaurant. If you want a fresh sandwich at a reasonable price and enjoy good service and supporting small local business, go to Sandwich King.

Simple looking little sandwich shop. Nothing about it looks impressive but then you bite down into the sandwich and it is totally fresh and delicious. Something about the turkey and avocado was amazing. The creamy guacamole or mayo or whatever it was just made the darn thing delicious. Excellent!

My research team and I were in the area and decided to Unilocal something for lunch. After trying Sandwich King, do I feel this place is worthy of receiving a royalty-like name? Definitely not. Im biased towards mom and pop owned places… I wanted to like this place. Sandwich King has that warm feel illuminating from its friendly staff and clean tables, but for about $ 7 a sandwich, it isn’t worth it… especially when everything done here could probably be done at home. The items do seem fresh, but the quantity for the price is very small. I was still hungry after eating the Pastrami sandwich(which lacked flavor) and my colleagues turkey bacon with avocado on squaw bread(needed a sauce or aioli to put it all together). Later that day, my team and I had Le Diplomate Café back at UCI and laughably compared the differences in taste of both places… Sandwich King should be dethroned. Extra Notes Takes credit card Small Parking Lot Clean, but old looking décor Expensive for what you get Don’t recall seeing restroom

Solid sandwich shop, clean, reasonably priced, and quick service. I ordered the ham and cheese with avocado on wheat. For $ 6.49 I got my $$$ worth.

It’s a little mom and pop sandwich shop in the Sky Park Circle area. The place is clean, but not at all fancy. Huge selection of different sandwiches. I usually get a club or Italian sandwich. Both are very good and very good portions. The roll is your typical 8″ roll but soft and the meats are good. The couple that work there are very friendly. Again, not a very fancy place, but what you expect a business park sandwich place to be… good food at reasonable prices and a small business trying to make it in OC. Most of the time I go I phone ahead and it’s ready when I arrive to pick it up. When I do eat there I usually take something to read as it’s not real crowded there and very quiet. Many people get their food to go there. Again, good portions, huge selection and friendly service from a small business. Support the local businesses and give them a try if you are in the area.

Got the tuna melt. it was horrible. I guess if you like dark tuna with barely any mayo then you might like it. I think they charged extra for lettuce & tomato because my «combo» deal(with chips and a small drink) was over 10 dollars. I will not be back.

Got the monster on squaw. Seriously solid sandwich with fresh ingredients. No pressed and preformed lunch meats. Hefty hunk of cheese and soft delicious bread. I’ll be back!

(+/-) I got a turkey + bacon sandwich w/squaw bread, mustard, and mayo. It was average. Like I just slapped it together myself. (-) $ 6 for a sandwich I could’ve made on my own. You could at LEAST toast it (-) the cashier wrote down my order then went to the phone and left me waiting at the counter for 3 – 5 minutes before coming back to ring up my order. there were 3 other employees yet he was the only one who could do so

This is a good place to chill out and have a relaxing lunch. I feel that the meats used here are high quality. My favorite here is the meatball sub. I’ve enjoyed drinking the coffee here and they have a good assortment of beverages. I tried a Mate tea drink in a can that was unique and provided a little kick on a long day. The place is clean and calm. People working here are nice. In some of the other reviews, reviewers complained about the price. I do find the sandwiches to be much more filling than Subway. I think that is due to higher quality meats and fresher ingredients.

Okay, tried a new sandwich here: the egg salad sandwich with everything on it all on squaw bread. First off, I haven’t had an egg salad sandwich since jr. high. But it’s something I never order, why get egg when you can have turkey + bacon + avocado! Am I right? However I saw it on the menu and I wanted to try it. And I’m glad I did. The sweetness from the squaw bread went well with the saltiness from the egg salad. I dig the salty/sweet combo.
