Love coming here when I dot meal prep and want a nice and healthy lunch. The line gets crowded during lunch time as it is within the Sand Canyon plaza with lots of other restaurants. But they are very quick with their food. I love getting the chicken plate, white rice, replace fruit and salad with veggies, and a water cup. The tables are very small indoors but the plaza have newly remodeled area designated for eating with nice patio tables. It’s great on a nice sunny day and you get to enjoy being out of the office. I would recommend to anyone wanting to get a quick and healthy fix. Macros are on point most of the time with carbs, protein, and some fats from the meat. Always get your micronutrients with the veggies.

I have been to this flame broiler probably 10 times, because its close to work, and about half the time, my order is wrong. When i walked in, the cook in the back, was scraping the burnt scraps from the grill, so i thought, oh good, ill get fresh food. Well that was not the case. Instead, i got chunks of burnt, rock hard, pebbles in my bowl. Who wants to crunch down on burnt up old food from the day? Gross! Also, i didn’t get onions. Once again very disappointed with Flame Broiler.

Ok I wasn’t going to write a review about this place because this is the second time this has happened to me. But I decided to give them one more try just to see. For some reason I really like flame broiler due to its simplicity but I have no idea why they can’t chop normal onions. I’ve brought it up twice and this time I feel like it was purposely done. Ridiculous if you guys really don’t know how to chop simple onions than how can you call yourself a flame broiler ? Definitely disappointed because my chicken was dry too. Ridiculous

I don’t get how this is a chain. The place is gross and uninviting. Brown rice is extra. White meat chicken is extra. It’s garbage. They don’t even have Sriracha here. Their condiment sauces are nasty. I wish they could do a fast chicken bowl Asian place like this but at Chipotle quality.

Weak Flame Broiler. Small portions compared to all the other locations that I have been too. I was wondering why the weak reviews but now I get it.

Meh. I’ve experienced better… I say this because I have. I gave it A-OK because the food is almost the same as all the others. There’s seating for like 5 – 7 inside. It’s a very small business unit to begin with. The layout is kind of wonky. They only had green sauce and utensils on one side. Waiting for the concrete work outside to finish to see what the outdoor patio experience is like. Will update then.

Flame broiler is not what it used to be. I remember when the portions were better here. I have been to 3 different ones in the last 4 months and it seems like you don’t get much meat compared to the rice. All portion controlled now. Sucks cause this used to be a great deal now it’s a rip off.

Let me start off by saying this the LAST time I will ever come to this location. My siblings and I came in today and ordered 4 chicken bowls. We sat outside on the patio, where they can clearly see us. I forgot the magic sauce and went back in to get it where the mexican cashier wanted to charge me 2 dollars for the 4 small container of sauces I got. I will no longer be supporting this establishment where they are that cheap/stingy to their customers. I didn’t even dare to ask for a water cup.

Pretty decent quick lunch located in the Sand Canyon Plaza. I would say this location caters mostly to the office lunch crowd, but they are also open on weekends. The inside is pretty small… 3 – 4 tables max. Luckily, there’s an outdoor patio, but it is shared with all the other restaurants in the same area… On the weekdays, I imagine that makes it tough to get seating; on the weekends, not so much. The food is typical flame broiler: rice, meat and veggies. What I like about this Flame Broiler is that they are typically very quick to take your order and quick to push orders out. Also, the staff is nice enough and doesn’t get orders wrong. Lastly, they have my beloved Kimchi… SOGOOD with the beef bowl. Pros: –Lots of parking –Quick food turnaround –Nice staff Cons: –Small interior with little to no seating Tips: –Try the kimchi with your bowl instead of veggies… DELICIOUS!

Don’t really understand how this place survives… yet people are lined up like lemmings every day… first of all, yes, the food is allegedly healthy with brown rice and vegetables and about 2 ounces of meat. Second of all, there are 2 distinct sauces for your sea of brown rice…“Magic Sauce” which everyone else in the free world simply calls«soy sauce»,(no, I am not making this up) and a hot red sauce. Marketing is everything in Orange County I suppose. Lunch is extremely pricey with a meat and veg combo with a drink about $ 10.00. If you want to impress your friends with your new supposedly macro-biotic diet I guess that this is the place. Pace your lunch hour so that you still have time to swing through In-N-Out, because you will definitely want to after you taste this food.

A meal in a bowl for $ 7.00, sign me up. Always a go-to when nothing else sounds right. Even better with brown rice. I like the half & half although sometimes the chicken is not trimmed very well. The crew at the counter are a well-oiled machine. There’ll be a line out the door but you’re on your way with food in hand in less than ten minutes.

DONOTEATHERE!!! This place is unsanitary and run by employees who could care less about customer service. Worst Flame Broiler I’ve ever been to.

I’ve never been to a Flame Broiler before and now I know why… 92 percent rice in the bowls. Avoid this place. Shame on them for ripping people off. Tiny bits of chicken and cheap beef that are so inexpensive, there is NO excuse why there was barely any in my bowl of 92 percent rice. To top it off, I pulled two rubbery parts of chicken out of my mouth, Disgusting. You’re an idiot if you eat here… Unilocaler’s, trust me, as you know, some Unilocaler’s are clueless, I’m not clueless.

I’ve been to lots of Flame Broilers and not once had an issue before today. This was my first time to this one and I will not be returning to this location. I called in my order, on the phone with a less than happy girl on the other end. Mind you it’s lunch time, so let’s give her a little slack. I give her my order and she double checks on the location I’m calling to. At this point I’m actually happy she did because I would’ve gone to the wrong one. Both were about the same distance, just in oposite directions of each other on the same road lol, so I confirmed I would pick it up at this location and she said ok. Here’s where everything fell apart. I arrive happy no one else is in line and politely ask for my order. The guy at the counter looks confused and then asks me if I was another order on the counter and I said no. He asked what I had ordered and then looked blankly at the screen. Then told me I must have ordered for a different location, which I politely laughed and told him I confirmed the location with whoever was on the phone. He then rolled his eyes and said sure. Then asked me what I wanted to order. I spout off my order this time trying to hold my attitude. Trust me I was super close to pulling out my phone and calling the number I had just dialed making him eat his attitude, but I was being nice. The funny thing is when I did give my order the girl next to him looked down and walked away, I’m assuming she was the one who took my order lol. The ONLY thing that saved them from a 1 star is that my order was done in record time. I do my best to be fair, I’ve been in customer service for over 6 years in various fields. I get having some bad days, but this was ridiculous. If this was my first time coming to a Flame Broiler, I’d never come back. So in conclusion, skip this location. There are plenty of other flame broilers close by to choose from.

Day after Christmas and there are no posted hours for today or holiday hours. We arrive at 2:35 and the guy behind the counter says we are about to close so there are no vegetables. I usually get all veggies but I will be understanding and just get the rice and meat. My husband wanted the works but can’t have veggies so I would have thought for all the meals that come with with veggies either substitute with more meat or a difference in price. We ended up with the same amount of rice and meat. If it was maybe 5 min to closing I would have understood but they still have a half hour. I know people don’t like to work longer than needed but you don’t just say you will only serve certain items because you are going to close and basically your not closing for a half hour. Two of the bowls didn’t have much chicken. This was an unusual day so I have to be a little lenient.

I love The Flame Broiler, but damn it Irvine location… Get it together! Who doesn’t like Flamie’s? It is healthy, tasty and a bargain. A Chicken Veggie bowl with a side of Kimchi is the perfect lunch on a day I am trying to behave and I can get all of this along with a drink for $ 10.00, that is hard to beat. I have been getting these delicious Korean inspired bowls for years now at numerous locations but for whatever reason, this location is stuck on stupid. I don’t know if there are large transmission lines nearby or if the employees ingest Idiot Pills prior to their shifts but whatever the case, I have seen monkey fecal fights at the zoo more organized than this place. For instance, anytime I walk in there is nobody at the register, it is inevitable; just like the day turns to night. I figure the employee is putting out that blunt or finishing up that 40 oz… That is all I can come up with. Even after the MIA employee returns to duty the failfest continues. Screwed up orders, messy counters, unclean hands, overcooked chicken, wilted cabbage, soupy rice(yeah, you read that right. SOUPY rice) and sheer pandemonium are all in a days work for an employee at The Flame Broiler, Irvine. I move to renaming this place Fail Broiler because that is all these guys do well. It is like a superpower or something! It is like other failures in fast food should come here for tips on upping their fail game. If a person falls off of his bike in the parking lot, these guys want IN. ALLFAIL. ALLDAY. So, go to the nearby locations instead and save yourself some grief.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with my brother and ordered an angus beef plate with brown rice topped with green onions and a side of meat. The food was good and the dish was a decent size to get us both pretty full.
