Worst service ever. We’ve MAYBE not tipped someone 1 other time ever. Lady on the left was our waitress. Didn’t greet us, took our order with an expression somewhere between bored and annoyed. Then sat there with her tush in that seat until we were finished. We were the only ones dining. Phở was okay, kinda greasy. Came out fast from someone slightly more pleasant.

Have a 10 people group lunch here. I had the Pork Vermicelli(#18) for $ 8.95. Looks good on the outside but the shrimp is undercooked and the pork is bland. My friend ordered the Seafood Beef noodles and said it tastes strange when mixing fish, shrimp with beef broth. The same food tastes much better in Westminster and in the San Gabriel for much lower price.

1 star because… 0 stars isn’t even an option. So a story for you lovely Unilocalers; my friend and I were craving phở and decided to stop by the nearest phở shop, which just so happens to be phở kobe; as we enter the shop, a women sat with her back turned to the front door, eating hot cheetos and watching some asian soap. We stood there waiting to be seated, but no one came so we just went and sat our selves. A young boy came over and handed us the menu and we started picking our dish to eat. The same woman who was sitting in the far corner eating cheetos and watching the daily asian soap finally got up and came over to take our order. Now keep in mind, she was eating cheetos so as she stood there, not presenting herself professionally, she crunched away on her spare cheeto holding the notepad with her cheezy cheeto fingers waiting for us to tell her what we wanted to eat. After she took our order, she walked away and went back to sit and watch her soap. Upon receiving the vegetable sides, the man who came to give it to us put the plate down and dropped a few of the vegetables on the table; the basil leaves and jalapenos, and just said«oops!», picked it up with his bare, dirty hands, and put the vegetables back onto our plate and straight up left. I hardly ate any of the food because it did not taste as good and I was still unhappy with the service that was presented to me and my good friend. When we had decided to just leave and pay our bill, the lady, i heard from all the way from my table appeared to be yelling at my friend, as if she thought he was deaf, the total of the bill. So rude. I will not be returning to this place to eat nor will I be recommending this place to any of my friends. A good restaurant presents themselves through the environment of the place, the workers etiquette attitude, and professionalism, as well as the taste of the food. This place has non of the above. I hope that they will brush up on all of these and be able to stay open seeing as the convenience of their restaurant is 100%.

Went for dinner on a Monday night. Waitress brought water and did not ask if I wanted anything else to drink. I ordered spring rolls and phở tai. My phở came out first. The broth was somewhat flavorful but the beef was not rare and was clumped together in the bowl. My spring rolls(starter) came out 5 minutes later. They had overlooked/burnt spots on them and were greasy. The chicken filling had good flavor. My waitress did not approach the table to see if everything was ok. She was sitting at another table the whole time watching tv. Someone from the kitchen delivered my food. Definitely think there are other phở places in the area that provide better quality food and service.

I don’t know much about phở so I’ll not be recounting my vast experience with phở during this review. What I can tell you is that this is really tasty food. Don’t know much about phở, but my wife really enjoys it so I gave this place a try for lunch with her. First off, the place feels clean. Lighting is good, and the service is prompt and courteous. What I like about the phở is that the broth is tasty, and I like being able to season to my preference with all the extra ingredients provided. I’ve had the sliced rare beef multiple times and its always lean and tender. I like to dump a whole container of the chili oil in there to get the juices flowing. Damn good, and I feel satisfied with my meal every time. Eggrolls are pretty good too.

Sorry but the place is Dirty. The furniture is dirty, the calculator is super dirty, the waiter used the scooper and his hand to scoop ice onto the water pitcher. Need to improve.

Mehhh. The only reason I see people going here is because it’s in a corporate area and it’s convenient for lunch. Other than that, I don’t see this place getting crowded on a weekend. The phở isn’t the greatest, but I guess it gets the job done. Don’t expect to be full after eating here, they barely give any noodles and chicken. Ugh, the spring rolls. Why even call them spring rolls? Don’t order or you’ll regret spending $ 5.

what to order: phở tip: mentally prepare yourself to pay the most ridiculous price for a bowl of phở. $ 8 for a bowl of phở! I think it was $ 9-$ 10 with tip! THISISABSURD! but. this is IRVINE. This is a quick phở restaurant that I think a lot of the corporate workers and medical workers frequent on their lunch break. The food comes out pretty fast and its not bad. I’ve definitely have had better phở in Garden Grove and Westminster but again… its Irvine. Ok place to go on your lunch break if you’re craving phở.

Very poor customer service. I wouldn’t even know how to leave a review on the food because I was barely greeted by the employees, who later asked if I had cash or card and that their machine for card was not working; when the woman delivered this information, she wasn’t even looking at me! Very rude. The place was empty when I walked in, and one of the employees was sitting at a table with her shoes off. Disgusting.

Maybe my standards are high but the phở is not great. Service was quick. As a new parent I was disturbed to see they store high chairs in the men’s bathroom.

Nice little place, very convenient if you work within walking distance. I like the little old grandma looking lady that is all spiffed up. If you ask them, they still honor the deal they had when they first opened which is to give you a free Thai Ice Tea. Phở is something that the connoisseurs will have favorite locations one over the other. But overall I would say there Phở is pretty good and in line with size and pricing of other location in the general area. I have only been here a few times and only tried Phở. I will have to try other dishes and compare to other Veitnamese places I get those other dishes at.

The beef cubes(#22) here are so good. Service is extremely fast, and portions for the rice are huge. Staff is very quick to help, and responds instantly. Did I mention how fast they are? Because holy shit, they’re really fast.

i hate to give a 2-star review, as I pick up food here often enough, but customer service here is rough. If you call, the phone will be answered with a brusque«HELLO.» Each time, no joke. The first few times I would tentatively ask, «Is this Phở Kobe?» to which I received a «Yeah» response. Kind of awkward, but what can you do. I also asked if it would be possible to substitute fish balls for beef balls, and the same server got defensive, instead of just saying no substitutions are allowed. I’ve learned to just deal with the poor service for the cheap and fast food. On the plus side, they are very fast and turn around phone orders in 5 minutes. The price is $ 6 – 9 for a large phở, depending on your ingredients. I’ve only eaten in once, and got the same mediocre service but since it’s in a business area, I wouldn’t expect fine cuisine. There’s not too many vegetarian options, which is a bummer, especially since other phở places in Irvine serve meatless egg rolls at least. If you have time, Phở Factory down Jeffrey may be a more pleasant dining experience and has other options like Banh Mi sandwiches.

Nothing outstanding at this vietnamese restaurant. Everything is just ok at best. Definitely do not order #17…rice vermicelli with beef shrimp and fried springrollls. The beef is all fat and has no bbq flavor at all. Their phở is just ok and forgettable. Probably will not come back again. Weekday lunches are packed only.

was really excited to have found a place so close to work that didn’t require that i go to the spectrum but was so sad and disappointed when i took my first bite of the vermicelli. it was not good. the pork was super dry with no flavor. the sauce was bland. everything was just bleh. i ate maybe half of it and just threw the towel in. worst 9+ dollars spent. the only good thing about this place is that it has other lunch options.

Okay look guys, don’t come here expecting authentic Kobe beef. Like, this is a small family phở restaurant. If the dish cost less $ 50 it’s obviously«Kobe-style»(not saying dishes that cost that much are necessarily authentic though). I thought this was common sense? Anyway, rant aside. This is just a typical Vietnamese restaurant, nothing super special tbh. One sorta unique thing is you can get a free Thai tea with your entrée, but you have to ask. Food is cheap and good. Service is(normally) fast. There is a lot of seating, so even during busy lunch hours there’s never much of a wait(if any). Can’t go wrong with basically any of the phở dishes here. I recommend anything with rare beef in it(Phở Tai and a couple others). From one Vietnamese guy to you, I can honestly say this is probably the best phở restaurant in the area in terms of food.

I have to start this off with a disclaimer that I got my meal to go. Honestly, I’m not sure if it was because I was sick or starving, or both, but this place was delish!!! Definitely comparable to phở Saigon pearl, just like the reviews say. I ordered the number 8 with egg noodles and an order of egg rolls and I was in pig heaven! The broth was light in flavor at first(so not as full of flavor as Saigon pearl) but after adding some sauce and the noodles and other toppings, the flavor became more powerful as it all continued to soak in the broth. Hey side note! Did you know you’re supposed to wrap your egg rolls with the lettuce it comes with?! I didn’t know that and tried it for the first time and can honestly say that I am hooked for life! Seriously wrapping every egg roll in lettuce from now on! Hahaha Any way, not much more to add to this review. My meal was about 12 – 14 bucks. Pretty good considering my co-worker delivered it to me… I have amazing people in my life. I will definitely be back here.

It’s a simple place which I find has the best noodle soups than most asian restaurants, and I really like the phở noodles. It’s a great family place which has fast service. The appetizers are good, and the bathroom is pretty clean. I have been to this restaurant many times over many years and the phở is always great! They are typically busy for lunch, especially on payday. .Servers are nice… but although not always anticipating typical server ques, they are always quick to assist when you get their attention; raise your hand so you can get faster service. The rare beef phở is fantastic and always hits the spot. The spring rolls are also tasty, as is the grilled chop. It’s like the saigon pearl — as you know what you are going there for. Not fine dining, but good food at a fair price. Meals range from $ 7 and up.
