Whaaaaaat?! Since when did Rite Aid have signature ice cream? Apparently, the ice cream was first sold in Thrifty drug stores in the 1930’s. More than 60 years later, Rite Aid bought Thrifty, but kept the ice cream, which has been popular and nostalgic for shoppers. Who knew?
The experience alone merits a visit to any Rite Aid location that has a Thrifty ice cream counter. Where else can you get award winning ice cream for $ 1.99?
Rocky Road lovers are in luck, LOTS of almonds and actual mini marshmallows, #yummy.

The lady who served my icecream is super nice and generous! A+
I had the cookie dough and the birthday cake ice cream. I would say that the birthday cake ice cream is my favorite. Usually birthday cake ice cream is way too sweet and I’d get sick of it, but here its perfect!!!
Cookie dough is okay for me, but if you really love chocolate chips, you should get this!
I’ll definitely be back when I’m craving ice cream again :)

Wow, don’t go to thrifty’s past midnight or you’ll piss everyone off. Went in with a friend to get some late night ice cream after a long day of driving and experienced the worst customer service ever.
I came in and asked for the ice cream I wanted and the lady gave me so much attitude for ordering ice cream so late. I’m sorry but your store says open 24 hours, if you don’t want a late night shift then go get another job with normal hours. She rolled her eyes at me, talked back to me for not understanding what she was asking me. Such a disappointment.

The best ice cream you can get for the price. $ 1.75 for 1 scoop and $ 2.50 for 2 scoops. My favorite flavors are malt marble crunch and rocky road.

The best ice cream! I prefer them to baskin robins even though they have less flavor options because the ones they do have are delicious. I’ve enjoyed this ice cream since I was a kid. The service is here can be slow sometimes but it’s no big deal. They’re also open 24 hrs a day.
