No its not Chipotle or Free Birds, but its good. Great price and they will add whatever you want. I had the steak and I never do that anywhere because its usually dry. Jimmy got it right steak was awesome. My only request would be for the peppers and onions to be a little more cooked they were tok crunchy.

Visiting Irving on business, stopped in as the shop was closing and the one guy there was cleaning up. Couldn’t have been a more accommodating guy! He made some suggestions for my smothered burrito and was friendly. The burrito was outstanding! Good food, good price.

Went there for breakfast this morning and didn’t eat my breakfast bowl until I got to work. While eating it, I found straight black hair in my food after a couple of bites. It wasn’t my hair because mine is red and curly. Not to mention, I was wearing a hat today. I called to inform them of it because I had to throw my food away. I called 3 times. There was no answer. I was enjoying my food prior to that. Hair in food is a no, no! They should be wearing hair nets!

I can’t give a review on the burritos but the omelette are the bomb! Not all dry, very moist eggs cooked well done with their homemade salsa. Their chorizo is the best I’ve had here in DFW. I’m going to miss this place when I leave my job.

Not bad, just your basic burrito joint. There’s a few choices if meats, steak, chicken, pulled beef and pork. Limited veggies choices, two salsas, and queso. Two burrito sizes, and combos with chips and a drink. Tables are set up mostly for single eaters or two, with a handful of tables to seat four. I’d place this in the category of «mexican-inspired» fast food. Not as nice as Chiptole or Freebird, and about on par with Qdoba. A large burrito combo will run you about $ 10.25, which seems a little pricey all things considered.

Average food. Cashier got order total wrong and wouldn’t even acknowledge the price charged was different than the menu price. Visited this location twice, both times was a bad experience. So many other choices out there so won’t be going back.

Burrito was mostly rice with a sour cream goo holding it together. I had chicken which was tasty, pinto beans and a wheat tortilla. The chips and guacamole were excellent. Burrito maybe just wasn’t what I had anticipated, but not terrible.

I have been to Chipotle and another place just like this in San Diego. I really like the different topping options they have like Pico de gallo, different grilled veggies and the have a queso sauce! I always order a bowl with a tortilla on the side. I like to put a lot of toppings on so if I were to get a burrito it would be way to big! I would go back to Jimmy ’ s anytime!

Mediocre at best. Wish there was more to write. I haven’t had a burrito this lackluster in quite some time. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was decent. However, the food was a bit expensive and lacked any«pow» moments.

I went in to try the nachos but did not like the bean they use so I ordered tacos instead. I had 3SOGGY tacos for lunch and ate them with a fork and knife. I did not understand their method of making a freaking taco! a corn tortilla, put some brisket on it, then cheese and why are you putting it in an oven griller? added sour cream and guac and salsa leaky tacos not good for my lunch make it fresh next time I admit the taste was good

Best bang for your buck and better than the other guys. Burritos and bowls are big enough for 2 and less than $ 10 out the door with a drink.

At first, I really enjoyed my breakfast taco from Burrito Jimmy. I ordered the same taco for months(bacon, jalepenos, pica). All of a sudden this one guy started helping me and my experience went down hill fast. He is not friendly, has never smiled during helping me, and gets an attitude when I ask him to put my bacon on the grill so it is crispy.(No, this is not a normal request of mine when i order tacos, however, the container full of bacon always looks raw.) I’ve said to myself for weeks that I was going to stop going to Burrito Jimmy since the guy has a problem with me asking for my bacon to be cooked. Well, today was my last day. My coworker was with me(as always) and«he» asked the young lady helping us if he could have his bacon put on the grill so it would be crispy. The awful GUY flew in from the back as soon my coworker’s order was stated and put EGG on the grill first, then poured our bacon over it which of course means the bacon didn’t cook and crisp up. I get back to the office and couldn’t eat the taco with the barely cooked bacon. My co workers and I have decided not to go back… If you go, make sure you do not ask for crispy or(cooked) bacon. I’m just perplexed as to why this guy would have a problem fixing an item the way a customer wants it. A customer who comes so frequently, she shouldn’t have to ask anymore, it should be known. I’ve attached a pic of the taco I couldn’t eat. It’s your call but I couldn’t eat it…$ 3 down the drain.

Decent burrito place. If you are concerned with quantity, it’s a good value for the money. Chipotle has more flavor in my opinion. I had a veggie burrito smothered in salsa verde wrapped in a jalapeño tortilla.

*** Green chili alert!*** Great little place to catch a quick breakfast burrito. Just south of highway 635 is Burrito Jimmy’s. Your burrito can be made numerous ways. One of my favorite styles of their burrito is made with egg, mixed cheese, pico, guacamole, and smothered with their green salsa and a small touch of caso. It makes my toes curl with every bite. It’s one of the best ways to start your day! I love that you can get a breakfast burrito all day long if you want. I also like that someone takes the time to hang the daily newspaper from two wires so the folks in line can catch a glimpse of the daily news if you have to wait. Service has always been great here, very attentive, and always very clean when I have been there. It is not a large place and if you go for lunch, try to get there before 11am for lunch. The parking is tight there. Burrito Jimmy I think I’m in love with your burritos. I have been here a few times and I swear it just keeps getting better and better! My mouth is just watering from this write up. See you soon Burrito Jimmy!

So I might have been sullied by the amazing burritos at El Taco H, because I think prior to eating those glorious burritos I might have been a bigger fan of Burrito Jimmy’s. I think they are doing things better than Chipotle or Freebirds in terms of choices. You can choose from several types of tortillas, they have a couple of different veggie options, and you can get things other than burritos like tacos and quesadillas. I loaded my burrito up — I chose a jalapeño tortilla, got every kind of veggie, pico de gallo and two kinds of salsa. Even with all of that happening, it still tasted kind of bland. The rice was definitely lacking flavor and even the veggies seemed almost like they had been steamed… nothing had been seasoned or given any additional flavor. The rice was the biggest sin, though. It was the ingredient they added the most of so I had several bites of nothing but really bland white rice. And the«spicy» salsa wasn’t adding any kind of heat. I noticed after ordering that they have a small option for the burrito, so for the price that might be worth picking up for lunch. Ultimately, for me, there was just not enough flavor to make it worth coming back.

I would eat here again. It’s a Chipotle-like restaurant, but offers a lot more toppings and I think it’s a little cheaper. The thing that sets this place apart from Chipotle to me is that they off white meat chicken. Chipotle gives you both dark and white meat which I don’t really like. They also can smother your burrito/bowl/salad in whatever sauce you want. I mean like totally cover it in goodness. Overall I’d eat here again since it’s closer to my work than a Chipotle or Freebirds.
