I was introduced to Empress of China restaurant by a friend not long ago. We met there for lunch and I was extremely impressed wit the menu selections, the prompt service by their staff and the very tasty food I was served. The wonton soup, and the beef dishes are very tasty. I also like dipping the egg roll in the spicy mustard. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Prices are some of the best in town. I make this at least a once a month have to for lunch.

Just bad. Ordered garlic shrimp and chefs special beef. Both were over $ 10 and labeled spicy. Asked for extra spice and they were super bland. Serving was small, didn’t come with soup or egroll. Shrimp was overdone and tough in a sea of bamboo shoots. I’d say 80% bamboo shoot. Beef was okay but only half of container was beef, they pack broccoli underneath the container to make it look like more meat. Either way it is not good taste or good value, will not be coming back.

Quality Food, and fast! I used to go here all the time for lunch.(Lunch plates have gotten a bit smaller over the years.) Triple Crown, Mongolian beef, Happy Family, and Sizzling Rice Soup are my favorites. My family also likes eating the big shared dinners together. They also have a small bar and serve a selection of tiki drinks– best is the Zombie! lots of rum

I placed my order for delivery during the Superbowl. I expected to have to wait at least an hour or more for my food to arrive but we received our order in about thirty minutes! Not only was the food delivered in a timely manner during a really busy time, but the food was excellant. I ordered the General Tso chicken and it was tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. One of the best I’ve ever had. It was spicy but not too spicy. In addition the person that took my order was very nice and pleasant. I will definately order from them again in the future.

A very enjoyable meal. The food was very good and the server was wonderful. We were just looking for Chjnese on the way back from Dallas and happened upon this place. Excellent choice.

The service was excellent. Very nice, polite and went above and beyond. Food was good. Good portion size. Loved the cashew chicken, orange chicken was different than what I am used to so I wouldn’t get that next time. The family dinner for 2 is a great deal for the amount of food you get, could almost split three ways.

I eat here once a week and they’ve never messed up my food. I always get the broccoli beef off the lunch special.

Best fried rice compared with many other places. The cook seems very conscious about using as little oil as possible so the rice isn’t soaking wet & shinny with excess oil. The rice itself is fine grain and cooked just right(unlike some other restaurants that serve fried rice made out of not totally cooked rice). Every ingredient that goes into the dish is very finely prepared(cut right, taste right, cooked right). I feel like an empress eating fried rice from this place! Thank you, Mr. John(I hope I got your name right, Mr. Owner, :-).

I ordered delivery the other day and was really impressed with the speed. I was told it’d be over an hour but only waited about 30 minutes. Every time I try a new Chinese place, I always judge them by the tastyness of their crab rangoons and they were amazing! I also ordered the spicy garlic shrimp, but there wasn’t really all that much shrimp in it so that cost a star. The green tea ice cream was very tasty. Will eat here again, but trying a different entrée next time.

My husband and I love this place! We have it delivered all the time! Best Mongolian beef I’ve ever had. It’s actually a healthier option too. Not greasy and doesn’t have a ton of sauce. The green onions really make it. Crab Rangoon’s are amazing. Orange chicken and mushroom chicken really good too! We always have the same guy who delivers our food and he is sooo sweet! Best Chinese food restaurant yet!!!

Friendly staff, decent food at a decent price. Sake was awesome. The décor was more dated than authentic which is why I will give it a 4 star.

This is my favorite local Chinese food restaurant. The food is authentic and what I’m used to. They use quality meats and vegetables. The wonton soup and egg drop soup are excellent appetizers. For a main dish, I really enjoy the jalapeño chicken and beef combination with fried rice. The szehuan chicken is also a favorite. For the price, I think you get a great amount. Nothing gets 5 stars, but this place sets the bar high. Highly recommended.

I really like this place. The MooShu Pork is really good, I also like their crab rangoon, and sweet and sour chicken. Plus, the fried rice that comes with your dinner is so so good! Bottom Line: Would(and will) go here again.

I went to a Chinese place in Arlington recently and I chatted with the owner. I told her I live in Irving. She got so excited and told that if I liked her food, I had to try Empress of China in Irving. So, I did. The very next day. The customer service was absolutely horrible! I went in to order carryout. The guy who was working the front was so very unfriendly. And I came in with happy spirits and told him that I heard good things about Empress of China. I ordered several dishes and appetizers to give them a fair chance. I spent $ 50 just to try this place out and it does not appear that I was appreciated. He wasn’t even moved by me telling him that another Chinese restauraunt owner told me to try his food. Anyway, the food was mediocre. Nothing that you can’t get from anywhere else. Nothing special. The eggrolls were gross and tasted stale. The cashew chicken had more bell peppers than chicken or peanuts, entirely too many. The happy family dish was too juicy to the point where it was leaking through the bag. Just mediocre. Nothing special. Any Chinese place can make the same things the same way they do. If you want exceptional Chinese, go to Panda Delite in Arlington. You won’t be disappointed

Better than average Chinese Food Restaurant! The Combination Fried Rice was really good, and so was the egg roll. The restaurant is a little dark, but neat and clean. The staff is friendly and the service was ok.
