This place is pretty unique in a good way. They combine korean, american and mexican cuisine to gourmet fast food perfection. I had their namesake burger(the LA Burger) and really enjoyed it. The fried egg and kimchi play very well with their delicious beefy patty. They put some kind of special sauce on it that really makes it work. I went back the next day and tried the bulgogi tacos. They were also really, really great. I was a little disappointed because I ate the 3 tacos so quickly and wanted more. I guess I’ll just have to go back again.

After doing some window shopping again at Grapevine Mills, my sister and I decided to stop by this place, simply because we we’re hungry. Looked up the reviews and I was of course I picked this place. We walked inside the place and we were greeted by a kind girl who helped us out on what to pick, EXTREMELYHELPFUL because we never ate there ha ha. I picked the Cali Sunshine and it was AMAZING and my sister enjoyed her burger as well! It was moderately loud and their bathroom was well taken care of. The fries and onion rings were well cooked too and the wait for our door(to eat there) was not long and was fast in my experience.

This place was amazing. The service is walk-up to order, so not much to write about with that. For the food… I’ve been to BBbop on Greenville Ave. more times than I can count. They have great kimchi fries. They use roasted pork on theirs. Here at LA Burger, they used their bulgogi. It’s hard to say I like one more than the other, so I’ll just say I like them both for their different styles. But the stars here are the burgers. And no joke, this is actually one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time. Even if you didn’t have anything else with it… it’s a great burger. I got the LA Burger. The egg was perfectly cooked. The kimchi wasn’t overpowering. Every single bite of that burger had an amazing balance of flavors that just worked. Speaking of the kimchi, it’s incredibly tasty, and they make in-house. I’m really looking forward to the next trip. I’ll be getting the bulgogi tacos I think. I can totally see why this joint has 4.5 stars with over 600 reviews.

Boyfriend and I ordered LA Burger with no cheese(yes trying to be a little healthy) and K town burger with a fried egg. Both burgers were pretty much the same minus 1 – 2 toppings. Bun to burger ratio is a littttle off but the bun was like a sweet, toasted Hawaiian bread. Definitely no ketchup needed and definitely hit the spot! Burgers were heavy and stuffed yet easy on the wallets. Less than $ 10! K fries — you get the option of regular or curly fries. Kimchi is in small bite sized pieces but still crunchy, pickled, and flavorful.

A mix of 2 of my favorite foods: Korean & Cheeseburgers! I visited Dallas and stopped in after Unilocaling burger places. This looked interesting so my fiancé and I gave it a try. Got the LA burger, the Oceanside Burger, a bulgogi taco, a deji(?) taco, a side of Kimchi, and a side of curly fries. Everything was DELICIOUS. I feared that our burgers might have too much going on with all the different toppings but it all worked perfectly! I only wish they had one of these in Jackson, MS where we live. So good!!!

The food here is divine! The only reason that it is not getting a five star rating from me would be because of the servicescape of the restaurant. It definitely feels like a «hole-in-the-wall» kind of place, which I am a big fan of, however, I couldn’t help but worry about the cleanliness of the seating areas. It sort of gave off a similar impression as to an old deli sandwich shop; you go there for the fantastic meat, but wouldn’t want to hang around. Besides that, if you are looking for a delicious twist to a burger joint, I would recommend you try LA Burger! I got the Cali Sunshine burger and kimchi fries, which were both out of this world delicious! They have so many different flavor combinations that I can’t wait to come back and try more. The price is too reasonable not to!

How can fried kimchi and fried egg be a good combination for a burger? I have no idea, so I ordered the LA burger. I did hesitate trying it, but I do love to try different food. I usually don’t like eggs in my burger or with anything. So I was willingly to take a shot. Thought the look of the bread might be hard. My first bite into it. Wow, this burger is just full of flavors. From spicy, sour, sweet, and to salty. Umm, how can someone even come up with this delicious burger. The egg were perfectly cooked. It sure did gave it a different texture to the burger. The crispy edge of the eggs gave it a touch of crunch. The bread were light and soft. It was perfect texture and strong enough to hold the burger. Although the bottom piece of the bread were soggy, but who cares. It so darn good! I don’t think I’ve ever tasted any burger this good. It was just any regular American burger. It was like a mix of Korean. Loved the burger.

This was my first time to this location, but have been to the Carrollton location a couple times. I had the sunshine burger I believe, and curly fries. They use a little bit of a sweet bun, but it’s delicious. Fried egg, melted cheese, their secret sauce? So good, definitely the best burger joint any where near by.

If you’re ever in Irving, Tx I recommend you to try this place. I passed by and this place caught my attention. I was in Irving since I was on a company trip and don’t know the area too well. Wow! This place is super good! Looked them up on Unilocal and went straight over. We where traveling with my tennis team so it was about 20 of us! We walked straight in and the staff greeted us with open arms! Your food is cooked as soon as you order. There was plenty of space for all of us, so if you have a big group this place is pretty cool to come to! All the burgers are so good! I kind of sampled a little of everyone’s. I ordered the BBQ Burger because it comes with Onion Rings. WOW, the onion rings are super good! So enjoy!

Everything here was on point! This is easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. With everything having a Korean kick to it. All of the burgers have a good spice, and a sweet roll for the bun! The thickness of the patty was perfect as well and I was in heaven. I would like to see maybe a few options that are regular and a gluten free bun on the menu, but as far as everything else it was great! The guy taking our order was helpful in explaining what was on each burger, the place was fairly clean(it is a small place kinda hole in the wallish so that’s to be expected). A lot of drink options and pretty solid menu. I’ll be back! Soon.

My last meal before leaving Dallas! If you are flying out of DFW, this place is kinda between Dallas and the airport. So leave yourself some time to grab food before you head in! I got the K-fries: kimchi, cheese, bulgogi on top of fries! This was… pretty amazing. I didn’t even want to get to my LA Burger when I tried these first. The bulgogi is definitely sweeter than your traditional bulgogi at restaurants, but its great to complement the saltiness of the fries, cheese and kimchi. The LA Burger: the K-town with the fried egg(kimchi, teriyaki-glazed patty) was great– the bun is so soft that I was afraid it wouldn’t hold together, but it did. Everything was so flavorful and addicting. Definitely the best place for a «cheat day» or every day for those blessed with great metabolism. Too bad there aren’t any locations on the East Coast.

Love the flavor and sauces here. Great marriage of Korean seasoning and American burger and fries. The kimchi fries is always crispy with rich bold spicy mayo sauce and kimchi cheese toppings. The burger is too huge for me but probably right size for guys who are really hungry. I had bonzai burger last time with light wasabi kick. This time I tried holy smokes burger which comes with 2PC bacon and onion ring. It’s a meaty choice.

The entire DFW Metroplex is absolutely stacked(saturated even?) with good burger options to the point that burgers that would be kings of other cities are relegated to second tier citizens. With that competitive landscape in mind, LA Burger is probably your best burger in Irving, and it’s worth your visit. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? While LA Burger’s location is in a rather nondescript strip mall, the interior is clean and contemporary — similar to the endless fusion joints that I encountered during my years in Los Angeles. Service is fast and friendly, and even during the lunch hour things move along quickly whether you’re taking it to go or eating in. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $ 6.00 for a good sized burger? That’s fair if not a bargain compared to the slightly more expensive chain spots like Hopdoddy and Rodeo Goat. Sure, sides and a drink will put you over the $ 10.00 marker, but you’ll be stuffed in doing so. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? My K-Town Burger was excellent, and while it wouldn’t necessarily stand out for being as unique as it is in a city like Los Angeles, it’s an all-star here in Dallas. My only gripes would be that the bun was over sized compared to the somewhat smaller patty, and the patty itself relied pretty heavily on the peripherals for true flavor, but these were some damn good peripherals. The fried kimchi is excellent, and is complimented by the spicy sauce, the teriyaki sauce, and the jalapenos(which admittedly were tone down to what they could have been). Additional props for using fresh lettuce. While I didn’t have any sides, they looked incredible, and would be well worth your time and money. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? LA Burger fires up some excellent grub: possibly the best in Irving/Los Colinas, but it doesn’t quite crack my top ten list in DFW– Give me a slightly bigger more flavorful patty and you’d likely see a fifth star here, but for now I’ve got to keep things competitive. No Star Granted.

This place has over 500 reviews, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. I’ve had the following: LA Burger Oceanside Burger Dejigogi Hogi Both of the burgers were pretty good, but I think I liked the Oceanside a little better. I have a thing for grilled pineapples and the teriyaki went great with it. The bacon on the Oceanside was cooked perfectly! The buns on the burgers are incredibly good and probably the best I’ve ever had on a burger. The meat was nice and juicy but not dripping all over the place. The LA Burger has a fried egg over medium, so don’t worry about egg running all over the place, but this burger can get a little messy. The Dejigogi hogi wasn’t too bad either. I’d give this a 4.5 b/c a couple of bites were a little bit too chewy. Again the hogi bread was pretty good. If you’re going to get fries, get the curly fries. They are extra but so much better than the normal fries. Overall, great spot. I wish we had this in Atlanta.

I am always down for some LA Burger, yasssss! I’m pretty sure you can pick anything off their menu and be more than pleased, but here are some gems that I recommend for you to try: LA Burger, K-Town burger, bulgogi tacos, deji tacos, kimchi fries. I keep returning for these babies P; They’re perfect. I love how this place has a unique taste to it. There’s heightened flavor in their food and you can never get tired of it. Eggs and kimchi in your burger?! And fries??? Bulgogi in taco form?! GENIUS. Service is always spectacular as well. I never see the same person at the cash register but whoever it is is always happy and smiling and I love it :’) Surprisingly, they don’t serve coffee because my mom tried ordering it once when we stopped by in the evening for dinner, but the cute Korean guy working the register said they can make it anyways and gave it to us for free! D: So niceeeee. Place is kept super clean and it’s never crowded here, either. If you’ve ever been to the famous Chi’Lantro restaurant in Austin, this is very similar but close to home and there’s not an excruciatingly long line of customers to wait after. Win-win. Come eat here! No ragrets!

LA Burger is a casual restaurant that specializes in burgers with a West Coast influence and Korean spin. Here is where cultures come together to turn ordinary American cuisine into K-Pop pizazz. The best part is that LA Burger’s burgers & kim chi fries live up to expectations whether you’re looking for an original meal or a meal that’s just good. My Overall Rating — 3 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — LA Burger is located in Irving’s Valley Ranch area in a shopping strip. It’s unassuming, a little boring compared to the menu, but otherwise clean. Irving\Las Colinas\Valley Ranch is known for having busy lunches, so expect lines at peak times and a crowded space. They have another location in Carrollton that is a bit more unique, but this is the original. ½ Star. Service — Standard counter service. You line up, put in your order, get a number, and the food comes out. LA Burger is family owned & operated, so the staff is very nice. Our order came out quickly, but we did have a problem with one of our items(see below). The good news is that they replaced our dish and offered an explanation. A recent review from Robert T. infers that original owners are no longer around as much — which may cause issues with quality control. More on that later… friendly folks. 1 Star. Food — The menu has an obvious West Coast & Korean influence. On our visit we went with the popular LA Burger(without the bun) which adds a fried egg & cheese along with the Bonsai. The bun is nice and soft on the outside, but buttered & grilled so it holds the contents within. I loved my Bonsai burger, it was the daily special and was served with avocado & caramelized onions. The avocado added a nice creamy texture, the onions slightly sweet, the wasabi mayo gave it a kick, and the burger itself was nice & juicy. The LA Burger was great too. The cheese was somehow melted into the egg. Served with green leaf lettuce, even without the great bun is was fantastic. In fact, I was surprised on how much better it seemed that my prior visits. The kim chi fries are a must order. You’ll get a nice order of fries topped with fresh spring onions, bulgogi beef, & their Korean cream sauce. You could actually make this your meal. So it fantastic meal all around except for one thing. Before we started on the fries, we spotted a stray hair. We brought it back, they replaced it and apologized. While it didn’t spoil our meal which was still quite tasty, it was still bothersome. Quality control should be a priority. ½ Star. Will I Return? — Yes. Easily a 4 — 5 Star place if the keep things in check. I’ve heard the other LA Burger location is quite impressive, so I’ll have to check that one out too. As for the original, the burgers are great — although if you like a more traditional burger you may not like the Cali-Korean influence as much. Just be sure you check your food before taking a bite. 1 Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.

Before flying home from a business meeting I stopped here for an early lunch on the way to DFW. I ordered their LA burger which is one of their specialty burgers. It comes with a fried egg and fried kimchi along with a very soft bun. I also added their sweet potato fries. I can see why this place is so highly rated. The burger was very good. I usually don’t order specialty burgers because I like a plain burger with just lettuce and tomato and maybe a pickle along with ketchup. I will say the fried kimchi on this burger added a nice mild spice to the burger and the egg didn’t hurt either. The fries were also very good. This is a good place to eat. Counter service was friendly and informative. I would definitely return.

I don’t remember when I’ve had a better burger. Super fresh homemade bun, fresh ingredients, good meat cooked right. Not sure which one I had but it had the sautéed onions and jalapeños. My only ding is the fries were salted unevenly and heavy on top… and bit of a pet peeve with me and definitely requires some extra skill and attention. Highly recommended. All around great place!

BEST burger I’ve tried, so far!!! I was looking for places to go and then I saw an ad about this restaurant, I knew I had to come try it. So I did yesterday, my boyfriend and I ordered two burgers(Cali Sunshine and Holy smokes) and an order of kimchi fries. The over-easy egg in Cali sunshine made the burger to perfection. It was such a great combo!!! Ohh, and the kimchi fries was everything, I mean everything. If you come here and you don’t try it, then you are missing out! I’m so glad I ordered it, although, usually I don’t eat kimchi but it blended so well with the fries and bulgogi(Yummy) It worth the drive to come here, and I’m sure we will be back soon! :)

Worth every single cent you spend! I came here for the first time and ordered a L. A burger, a K-Town burger, Korean tacos, and a fried basket. AMAZING! They are all so good. The buns of one of the burgers was kinda burn, but still so so good. The meat is juicy, soft, and flavorful; eggs are perfect cooked– I can’t even think up one thing to complain. Why 5 stars? Because this is desperately needed in Tampa Bay. — — — I feel that we have a pretty decent variety of restaurants in the Tampa Bay area, but a solid Korean Burger/Korean Hot Dog joint is a huge void in my life. So when researching my 24 hour trip to Dallas, I discovered LA Burger, and despite it being a bit out of the way, I immediately knew my plan: I flew in to Dallas. Grabbed my rental car. Drove to LA Burger. Ordered the Seoul Dog and Bulgogi Tacos. Thanked God for the blessings he has bestowed upon me. Wept tears of sadness when my meal was completed. Fell into a spiraling depression as I came to the realization that it was all downhill from here. So it’s been a rough 3 months since.
