My then 2 year old initially attended a private school that I was very happy with. Due to changing jobs, I moved her to another school closer to my office the beginning of May 2015 that I initially was pleased with after much research and discussions with the director and teachers. That ended up being the WORST experience I have had with child care! After the 3rd week of my daughter crying from the moment we left home until I left her at school I found Miss Bloomingdale’s Academy and, because I was not going to make the same mistake twice, I spoke with the director Miss Maggie and I will admit drilled her on everything I needed to ensure it would be a good fit. Thankfully June had an opening in the 3 year old class. My daughter is a little more advanced than some and I wanted her to be in the appropriate class according to her skill set. Although she, by age, was supposed to start in the 2 year old class and then migrate to the 3 year old class once a new school year began, and she was turning 3 in July, they went ahead and started her in the 3 year old class. By the end of the 1st week, as it should have been, my daughter had made friends and was excited to go to her new, new school. I have not had an issue since then and every day I pick her up I am so thankful that THIS school was the right decision for us. She participated in swim lessons this past summer, all subject areas are covered in class each day, the communication between me and the staff is very clear and I don’t have to worry about the safety of my child. This school is properly run and managed and not once have I had to address something I was displeased with. I have high expectations in general but especially when it comes to the care of my child and I can say without hesitation that MBA has more than met my expectations. They genuinely handle the children with care and provided the nurturing appropriate for the age. I plan for my daughter to continue at this school for preschool and private kindergarten if we do not get into the kindergarten of choice.

We were incredibly blessed to have our twins attend Miss Bloomingdale’s Academy since they were babies at 14 months until 5 years old when we moved again & they started Kindergarten at a different school. From the very first day, they took care and loved our little ones like their own family. As they were preemies, the entire school, all the teachers, Miss Jill, Miss Maggie, even Miss Bloomingdale took great measures to make sure the twins were always well taken care of, including logging every single bite of food, sips of milk, to every diaper changed on a daily basis when they were infants to toddlers. As they grew older, the twins flourished at the Academy & enjoyed every day of learning and preschool fun. It was a great environment for our little ones to excel in learning, as well as participate in other activities including soccer, dancing and even swimming lessons onsite(during the summer taught by their actual preschool teachers) during regular school hours. Every day, the twins always had special attention given to them by all the teachers, the older kids, other parents, and especially individual attention given by Miss Bloomingdale. It was their second home & they truly miss their family at the Academy.

I just started taking my 7 month old daughter to Mrs. Bloomingdale’s as of January 2014. This was a first time for us leaving our baby at daycare, so we had researched and visited several daycares in the area prior to choosing this one. I have to say I am extremely pleased with the attention and care that they are providing for my baby. I just had to write a review(which I rarely ever do), after seeing my daughter smile every single morning as soon as she sees her caretaker. It is the sweetest thing and so reassuring that she is in the right place! It is not your usual«chain» daycare so you won’t get any fancy marketing materials or someone giving you the memorized«sales» speech as to why you should choose this daycare. Even more importantly compared to the other daycares we visited, this is a smaller one so you won’t see a ton of kids in each classroom. The other daycares just seemed chaotic with three or more teachers per classroom and kids all over the place. I just feel that being smaller, they’re able to pay more individualized attention to my daughter.
