This change of rating makes me sad. Oh Phở Château, our love affair has to end. You’ve failed me three times in a row, but today was horrendous. For the past few years, I’ve taken pride in saying that I was your very first customer when you opened your doors for business. My popularity in the surrounding business community is the reason why several people come to your place for lunch. I always recommend you have turned several colleagues on to your food. But lately, if it isn’t one thing, it’s another with you. At first, it was just the customer service getting bad. Now the customer service is back up to par, but the food has gone way down hill. I’m bed ridden and sick so I asked a friend to pick up an order of phở and other items from you because phở makes me feel better when I’m sick. I placed the order over the phone myself. Customer service on the phone was great. When my food was delivered, I was more than disappointed. The filet mignon was pretty much raw. The noodles were very over cooked. But the worst thing was the château wings that I have always loved. These were not château wings. They were full wings and tasted like they had been cooked in soap or perfume. They were flabby and oily and really tasted like a bottle of perfume. I had to spit out the first bite and wasted 7 bucks. I did call and the lady took my name and said they’d replace them next time I come in. But please know that this decline has resulted in you losing a loyal customer. You started off so right but now things are going so wrong. I will no longer frequent your establishment and I will not be recommending you to my friends. Those wings were absolutely terrible and tasted unsafe and chemical like. Plus they’re not the typical wings that you advertise on your menu. Farewell and goodbye

Re-visited and I must say I had a much better experience with their Phở while dining in the restaurant instead of doing to-go orders. I had the house special and it had a good mix of broth, meat, and vegetables. I will definitely go back now, but, it will only be for the phở and nothing else. I feel that their appetizers are a bit overpriced too, for what that might be worth. The service was a bit slow and only received two refills on the water, but, it was extremely busy and I understand. Pro-tip: Phở when your allergies are acting up is a wonderful thing :)

Went here for lunch with hubby for the first and everything was good. I ordered the Sinapore noddles that had a little curry in it and my husband ordered the Snizzing beef with rice, both ordered were delicious. Nice decorations and friendly staffs. Priced were reasonable.

Nothing bad about this place, but nothing outstanding either. The phở is good, but $ 9 is a little steep. You can always find good phở for $ 6 – 7. The spring rolls are underwhelming simply because the rolls are basically protein(pork, chicken, or tofu) and lettuce. I would’ve liked having some more veggies inside the roll. Don’t get me wrong though, the pork is very tasty and hides the blandness of the rest of the spring roll. I forgot to try the boba, so I’ll make sure I do next time I’m here. If you work in the area, it’s a good place to grab lunch, especially on a cold day!

Ate here today for the first time. This was the tastiest Phở I have had in the DFW metroplex. Really delicious, meaty, full flavored, beef phở with all the interesting bits amalgamated into a succulent sausage in the soup(in addition to lots of tasty lean cuts too of course). Friendly staff, really accommodating to my obnoxiously misbehaving 2 yr old(we went there early so as not to bother too many folks). Thanks Oscar for being such a solid bloke. The food was great, beautifully presented, spicy/mild as you wanted it, myself and the kids loved it. Look forward to eating there again. Thanks Oscar and your staff for a great job. BTW, the place looks immaculate, like it’s just been furnished. Can’t believe it’s 2.5 years open.

I’ve been to Phở Château three times. I would say the food is average at best. I enjoyed the spicy phở, but that’s about it. The combination fried rice is average. Phở is average. The fried Vietnamese egg rolls are average. The bahn mi sandwiches are average. The boba tea is awful. Prices are slightly overpriced for phở and the restaurant doesn’t have traditional phở combination options. Service was good one night and awful for lunch on another day. Location is convenient. Nice décor. It’ll be a while until I come back. There are much better phở options in Irving.

Exceptional service by Oscar, very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. This was the first place I saw looking out my 2nd floor window at the NYLO. Figured I had a good two hours before my meeting so I might as well get some phở! For late afternoon, it was quite but not too empty, a man at the bar and a few couples at the booths. I didn’t have to wait long to be seated, given a menu, glass of water and then order. Service is fast here, and not just fast, but good. I got a beef phở w/flank, brisket, and filet mignon. The beef broth was heavy but delightful, the noodles and meat melted in my mouth with rich flavor. My only complaint was the lack of noodles and meat, I wanted to savour it all longer, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Before I got my check, I order a lychee bubble tea for the walk back. I’d have to say that as far as Texas goes, Phở Château definitely blew my expectations out of the water. These guys can do Asian fusion very well. :)

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Went for lunch with 2 co workers. Walking distance from our office. First I had a question about if something could be made gluten free and our server said she didn’t know and walked away. Not like walked away to find out but walked away and never got me an answer. We were all served at different times but everyone was done eating when I finally got my salmon and brown rice with broccoli — like that’s hard? The server did come over and tell us the kitchen got the order mixed up and that it happened to the table next to us as well and they had new staff in the kitchen. The manager also came over at the end and apologized. Nothing was taken off the bill. I felt like they could have done something for us since I had a bite and had to take mine to go. I will be in NO hurry to return and will inform my coworkers if they suggest going.

Was in the mood for a sweet treat while out shopping and this just happened to be closest to where we were on the highway. Took a quick detour and so glad we did! Beautiful décor and delicious boba! The patio looked lovely but it was a bit too cold today. We will be back, phở sho

/TL;DR If I could somehow game the Unilocal system, I would create a half star here so I could get it a solid 3.5. Good phở, decent all else. I used my Unilocal check-in to get a free boba tea, too … so #winning. /ATMOSPHERE Modern with seats galore and take-out at the bar. /FOOD Got the pork belly buns and the house special beef phở. The pork belly buns were decent. Definitely not the best I’ve had. The buns were a little too chewy. It wasn’t bad though. I ate it all. MUAHAHA. The phở was really good. I need to hurry up and finish this review. You know how you’re hungry two hours later? Well, thinking about how good that phở was is making me shift into starving right now. /SERVICE Friendly and courteous. HOWTOREADMYREVIEWS: 1 Star — Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars — If I’m in the area, I’d pick something else. 3 Stars — I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars — I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars — I would go out of my way to dine here.

Food is okay. Bad experience today. Called to place a to go order for lunch for beef phở with raw steak and an ice water with lemon. I gave them at least a half an hour to get this done. I get there and the bar is a mess. The bartender gives me my food and the meat isn’t raw. Goes back to change it, even though I said it was okay I was in a rush. Then he also forgets my water. Gets my water and comes back with my food. Insists on showing me that the meat is raw even though I told him I didn’t have time 3 times. Then I check the water, no lemon. I leave the water there after already being frustrated and he yells after me as I’m leaving, «so you’re just going to waste it?» Which was completely inappropriate as an employee in customer service. Extremely irritated and may not return. Not to mention 10 minutes later I receive a text saying to confirm my signing up for the rewards program! I did not permit anyone to enter me in that! VERYUPSET.

Came here for take-out lunch on 9÷23÷15 after my doctor appointment, which confirmed my bout with Strep and a Sinus Infection, simultaneously. I must say: The food here is tasty and authentic with a unique spin. The Bubble Tea(strawberry) was immensely tasty. For my lunch, I ordered Meatball(x2) Beef Phở and some Salt and Pepper Shrimp. Mhmmmmmm! Satisfying. Coming here for lunch(inside seating) may not be the best idea, as it was a PACKED house.

Called in for pick up and was told my order would be ready in 15 min. I arrived 15 – 20 min later and they forgot to put my order in so rushed to have it made while I waited. This was okay except for the fact that my beef in the noodle dish came out half raw and I didn’t realize it until I got home and was halfway done eating. See picture I posted. I felt sick and nauseated. Not a great experience.

I’m feeling quite conflicted about this place. The interior design is very modern and clean, which is a good thing in my book. Their food is very tasty and their presentation of their dishes are also picture-worthy. My coworkers love the broth of this place, I love the salad here. Their seared tuna salad is quite tasteful, even though their salad was my favorite on my dish(just because I’m not much of a meat-eater lately. The only reason why I gave this place three stars is because of the service(somewhat). The service here was quite poor. It took a while for our order to be taken and to be served. It seems like they lack to follow directions. My friend ordered extra meat in his phở and ended up getting more soup and noodles, and not enough meat(according to him). I ordered regular milk tea with tapioca pearls… I mean, that’s what appeared in the pictures and what was commercialized. Expecting black tea being used in my drink, instead green tea was apparently used in my drink. No tapioca pearls, just leeche pearls. I called the waitress back and she didn’t understand what happened since the manager(I’m assuming is the manager) took my order and served me my drink. He came by and apologized, explained to me what has happened(they didn’t prepare the black tapioca balls or use black tea), and ended up not charging me for my drink. Although the food was good, the service was poor up until the«manager» handled things, the drink(even though it was free) somewhat ruined the experience for me. Not because of the sugar-water tasting drink, but because I had to go through the trouble of talking to a few people, sending back the drink twice, just to figure out what has happened. Come for the food – just stay away from the tapioca drinks.

Food(2⁄5) I came in on a weekday lunch with my manager. For my order, I got the spicy filet mignon phở. The bowl was quite large, and they weren’t kidding when they said this dish is spicy. I felt like I could never get enough water refills haaa. The meat was also extremely tender and delicious. Overall though, I really enjoyed the idea of a spicy bowl of phở, but the execution was slightly off for me. The phở rice noodles were not al dente. In fact, they felt a bit too overcooked and soggy. And while I do enjoy spicy dishes, I felt the broth had way too much chili or peppers in it. It’s sort of synonymous to orange juice with too much pulp, which sort of detracted me from enjoying the dish. Service(3⁄5) Phở Château offers standard wait service. The waiter will take your order and bring you the food. The service was average, and nothing was super memorable in terms of superb or subpar service. Atmosphere(4⁄5) Phở Château has a modern /trendy feel. The décor is heavy in turquoise and orange with a tasteful style. Maps of Vietnam and Southeast Asia are also prominent as part of the restaurant’s design. There are plenty of booth and table seating options. They predominantly seat 2 – 4 people, but you can probably seat larger parties by moving the tables together. Bottom Line Phở Château falls a bit flat with its spicy phở, but the modern and trendy feel of the restaurant is a nice plus. I’ll probably try their actual(non-spicy) phở on my next visit to see if that’s where Phở Château truly shines :)

I think of Phở Château as Vietnamese food with an upscale atmosphere. If you and a date were wanting to go out for Vietnamese and atmosphere mattered to you then this would be the phở restaurant for you. We were out on a Sunday night before going to the Pentatonix concert, we had just picked up our daughters friend and were headed to dinner. I decided I wanted to go to a spot were we could have a slower relaxed dinner than my regular Phở places on Beltline. The atmosphere at Phở Château is very nice. There is a full far, lots of booths, plenty of tables and outdoor seating with its own TV. There was a couple there at the bar enjoying the basketball game and it just had a good vibe about it. We all voted and think that checking out the sink in the bathroom is a must, so be sure that you check out this little detail. For food we started with spring rolls and the spicy edamame. The spring rolls were interesting. I have not had a spring roll that had BBQ pork inside of them before. The order or original spring rolls not only has the traditional shrimp, but also pork, a very interesting twist. Unfortunately the shrimp in the spring roll was over cooked and my family was pulling it out and setting it aside. The spicy edamame was indeed spicy. They take the steam edamame and toss it with chile oli and sea salt before serving. I thought they were tasty, but the rest of the family deemed them as to spicy for eating, so I had to eat the whole plate myself. We then had our vermicelli bowl. It is served in a very different bowl than you are used to if you eat this dish frequently. The amazing thing is that you mind tells you that it looks smaller than other bowls you might of had, but when you get to eating it, the bowl seems to keep on going. There was a generous portion of bbq pork in the serving which was well marinated and cooked. The combination of veggies and noodles seemed right on target and overall it was enjoyable, not the best in the area, but certainly enjoyable. The service was very friendly, but was not spot on. It was a Sunday night and it was not busy, but tables went unbussed and we had to ask for more water twice. Overall we had a nice dinner, but I will probably not be a regular.
