Is it closed??! I rolled up yesterday and there was a sign that said closed for repairs. But all the decals we’re scraped off the windows. I came again just now and the sign is gone, and Unilocal has it reported closed Oh noooooo

Love the concept! You order your food like you would at Chipotle by choosing your starch, meat, veggies, toppings and sauce. I mixed the teriyaki chicken and the spicy chicken and I loved both. The staff was very helpful and even let me try the meat and sauces before ordering. Price was reasonable. Less than $ 9 for the bowl but lots of food. If you’re looking for something tasty and quick, this is a great option.

Crack has been discovered in Las Colinas. Similar concept to Chipotle. Excellent food and service.

Food is pretty good and staff is super cool. It’s in a tough location meaning not visible from the road. It’s definitely worth a goog. a try. Thanks for your support, Ben Carson for President not the other people running but him. Oh man got political on a review on a Asian BBQ restaurant. That’s weird.

Um, unfortunately not a total miss but not a total homerun either. I like their Chipotle-like concept but I think they are priced too high. I ordered a chicken bowl + drink and the price came to $ 12+. Part of this price was the $ 1.99 upcharge for fried rice which was totally not worth it. Minus the upcharge and you’re still looking at $ 10 for just average food. The chicken was good but a bit chewy, perhaps because of the time of day I visited(2pm on a Friday). This is the type of place that if you are in a hurry and need something quick and are close by, then sure but otherwise, nah.

This place is great for lunch! its quick and tasty! concept is like Chipotle. Pick your rice, meat, veggies, and garnish. I went with a bowl of brown rice, spicy bbq pork, zucchini, green beans, carrots, and cilantro. They live up to their Asian bbq name for sure!!! the meat was so flavorful and smokey!!! every bite was tasty and consistent. Seatings are plentiful and great for big groups of friends or coworkers. It’s kind of hidden behind a shopping center near Boston Market. Owner was very nice and I’m happy to support local businesses.

Sprout is similar to a chipotle in that you pick what food(e.g. rice, meat, veggies) you want in the bowl. I like the interior design is that of a minimalist with bold colors. The service was quick and nice so I greatly appreciated that. I went with the regular bowl but there is the option to go with a plate which has more food. For my bowl, I chose fried rice, spicy BBQ chicken, and almost all the veggies. I didn’t realized fried rice was an extra $ 2.so that was pretty disappointing. I would have went with regular rice ’cause $ 2 doesn’t justify fried rice. I wanted to add a fried egg on top of the bowl but that would have been an extra dollar. The sauce and BBQ were pretty good though. I could taste the smokiness of the meat. I didn’t think the chicken was spicy but I have somewhat a higher tolerance for spicy food. Overall, the food was great and the right amount of it. I have to try their other meats when I come back. So another great addition in the area!

Don’t be put off by the outward appearance of Sprout. We went there today for the first time and the food was really good. The vegetables were fresh, the meat had a really good flavor and everything was cooked right. It is a little hard to find, tucked inside a strip center, but it is worth looking for. We will go again.

Within this class of eateries, i.e. someone builds while you direct and watch the process, this is the best. We were fortunate in having the Sprout sign catch our eye as we were walking back from the Byron Nelson Golf Championship. Billed as an «Asian BBQ», we were pleasantly surprised by the options: White or brown rice; Steak, smoked meatball, spicy pork, bul-go-gi(thin sliced sirloin marinated in sweet, spiced soy sauce and grilled), teriyaki chicken, spicy chicken, or tofu; two vegetables; sauce(see below); garnish. All deliciously built before your eyes as you help with the choices. Sauces are Kang-nam — Pineapple sesame. Seoul — Red chili paste(2 peppers). Hanoi — Ginger Peanut. Tokyo — Teriyaki. Bangkok — Thai Chili(3 peppers). Sandwich options, with the proteins(sans tofu), on a 8″ hoagie roll, also exist. I sampled both the the spicy pork and spicy chicken. Both were delicious. Prices one the bowls are between $ 7(tofu) and $ 9(steak). Sandwiches are between $ 6 and $ 7. This is a place I will definitely visit again next time I am hungry and in Irving.

I was pleasantly surprised after my visit here, I just stopped by because it’s around the corner from my house and I was super hungry, but I’m so glad I did! Everything is so fresh and light. It beats fast food any day, but it’s just as quick. And it was nice to find that every component had its own great flavor, so no matter what I scooped up in each bite it never fell short of awesome. One thing I really appreciated was the spice level, many places label an item as «spicy» that are nothing more than mild, but this place says spicy and means it! The spicy chicken and pork really have a great kick, and to turn it up even more I added the spicy sauces intermittently. They’re perfect if you crave spicy food like I do. Great food, super friendly service and awesome combination possibilities, I’ll definitely be back.

Such a cute, quaint and Very clean establishment. Ordered the bulgogi sandwich with all the veggies and a side of Korean spicy sauce. The sandwiches are similar to the Vietnamese Banh Mi and cost $ 6.99. However, you are getting more meat than you would a Banh Mi. Sandwich was good but I think I’ll try a rice bowl next time for the price. Staff was very friendly and offered suggestions for the first timer. Tip to the chef, grill the bread instead of putting them on a flat pancake griddle. It will give the sandwich a better texture. Bread didn’t hold all the meat in and I had to eat my sandwich with a fork. Overall great experience, fresh food with fresh flavors.

Came here for a take out dinner. Not many people, so went right to ordering. I’ve been to a similar Korean bowl concept in SoCal as this type of concept seems to be spreading whether it be Korean, Singaporean, Mexican, Indian, etc. The people behind the counter are super nice and sweet as they helped me through the process of their system. Explaining what most of the items were and providing the different options for the meal. The proteins they had were spicy chicken, spicy pork, and bulgogi. I got the spicy chicken and it was good, but nothing to rave about. The spicy-ness was there, but the chicken wasn’t very tender or moist. Possibly during lunch hour with more turnover of product, this would not be a problem as you would get a fresh batch on more occurrence. In the process you get 2 vegetables and I got pickled cucumbers and pickled carrots/radish. Then you can also add accompaniments such as spicy papaya, cliantro and a few other things. Lastly you can top it off with black sesame, sesame, or some sort of crushed nut and get a sauce to compliment your choices. For an additional price you can also add a fried egg. Definitely a recommended option for you. I do have to say that there are some nice choices here for food and different combinations allow for a good variety of things for your meal. I do wish there were most banchan items that you would typically get from a traditional sit down Korean restaurant such as more pickled items and even the simple potato salad. I say it’s a definite good spot(probably better for lunch) and would happily return to try it again.

Interesting concept. Hopping off of what others have posted, you can think of this place as an asian chipotle. Choose your rice(white or brown) choose your meat, choose your veggies, and as many toppings(cabbage, sauce, etc) as you want. What I liked: Food is fresh and tasty(not overly seasoned) and you don’t have to wait 10 – 20 minutes between the time you order and the time you eat. Pretty standard fast food prices. What I think can be better: More variety in terms of vegetables and sauces. But its definitely not bad. Also, my experience is that the staff is friendly and accommodating so definitely a good place to check out and catch up with your friends/coworkers.

Talk about deja vu. I swear I came into the Asian Chipotle of Irving… This place is located in a great area filled with lots of corporations nearby. Its pretty easy to get to from 114 and McArthur. Nice area. The restaurant was clean and nice. Once you come in you go through a line almost identical to Chipotle… except they serve Asian food… Love the concept. I got the bulgolgi with rice and some vegetables. Also added a fried egg. It was filling and really reasonable in price. Overall, I would hit this place up again for that in and out asian chipotle experience.

I went here for the first time yesterday. I had seen it was being built, and it is hard to believe that they have been open for two months before I got my first visit in. This is a real winner and is a great addition to the food options in this area. The restaurant is brand new, but is clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and welcomed the opportunity to tell you about their menu options and ti allow you to sample the different meat options. My understanding is that they are Korean, and so I decided to try my favorite Korean dish, BimBimBap. I was able to make a choice between white and brown rice. The rice was then topped with BBQ ribeye steak marinated in a delicious Korean marinade. You then get lots of different vegetables, each with their unique flavor profile, and of course the egg. At the end of the line they will provide you with a choice of different sauces. If you are not familiar with the sauces, just ask for advice from the staff, they will steer you in the right direction. I of course mix my bowl up with a healthy portion of the red chili sauce and get all the flavors to blend together. Every bite becomes a delicious treat, with great flavor. I was an immediate fan and will be back to visit as frequently as possible. The only thing I would want them to do differently is to have the yolk of my egg to be a little less done so that it runs through my rice, but I understand that this a quick service restaurant and that would be tough. I also tried the egg roll which was great as well. I got some of the sweet chili sauce for dipping this one in and throught the sauce had great flavor as well.

Really excited for this new place! Tried out two different bowls and the spicy chicken was my favorite. Owner/staff are super friendly and give samples of everything + advice on what to order. I got all of the slaw toppings and 4 different sauces. Really unique flavors. I ate my whole bowl, which makes me think that my husband will need a side to go with his to be enough as he usually eats more than me. We are going back for dinner tonight! (not open on weekends)

Just tried Sprout for the first time. This place is great. It’s sort of a fresh food/chipotle type concept but with an Asian flair. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with egg rolls and loved it.

I’m a bit of a food snob, but this place passed my taste bud critiques. I’ve been here a couple times, once when it opened and again a couple days ago when I was craving some Asian food. What I’ve been told is that it’s newly-opened, so I wasn’t expecting anything special. I got the Bulgogi, a Korean traditional dish, with some fried rice they were trying out and it was smoked tender and juicy. With the most recent visit, I ordered their sirloin steak. Their food had already improved! The meats have already been tender, but the taste was richer but not to an overbearing degree. They have moderate variety. But seeing that it’s a new restaurant, it’s not enough to knock a star off my rating. Observing their experimentation with the fried rice, I can see that they are more than likely going to add more to their menu.

Sprout is a newly opened Asian BBQ/Fusion place at the SW corner of W Walnut hill and N Macarthur. Being a brand new place, it looks nice and clean. As you enter, the traffic is directed right, towards the ordering counter. It has a decent sized seating area with a booth styled common seating on one side and individual stools on the other and tables in-between. Ordering is simple: choose a bowl or plate(extra buck) with white or brown rice, choose a protein or two(extra cost), top it off with veggies(green bean, zucchini, corn), add a fried egg if you like, or roasted peanuts/seeds and choose a sauce over the food or get it separately. They do also have extra toppings of spicy cucumber, lettuce, sprouts or slaw. The protein choice ranges from Steak, smoked meatballs, spicy pork, bulgogi, and teriyaki/spicy chicken to tofu. You can also get sandwiches and bibimbap. I got the tofu bowl(6.99) with brown rice and toppings of zucchini, corn, spicy cucumber, lettuce and toasted white sesame. The mashed tofu was rich and felt high-end, unlike other places; it was mixed with broccoli and had very less condiments thus preserving its original taste. It tasted really good when mixed with other stuffs and the sauce. Their homemade sauces are wonderful. I tried the kang-Nam(pineapple sesame) and Seoul. Both were amazing. If you need more kick, you can try the Bangkok sauce. Overall, it was a very tasty bowl full of fresh veggies made even better with the great sauces; I was fully satisfied. The staffs are nice and friendly. Sprout is an inexpensive place to get delicious Asian-styled BBQ/Fusion which is served fast & fresh and thus feels like a decent spot for lunch.
