The Summit by Norstar

I have lived at Summit by Norstar approximately 8 months. When I signed my lease, I was told the hot tub was being repaired and that repairs should be completed by the time I moved in. Throughout Winter and Spring, when repairs still were not complete, I contacted the front office and the parent management company several times via telephone and email to inquire about the repairs. No one would ever respond to my inquiries. When I occasionally reached a person or stopped by the front office to ask in person, I was told the complex was getting estimates and that repairs would be finished soon. Finally, about a month ago, I spoke to the apartment manager who said estimates will no longer be obtained because the hot tub repair is «not a priority» for the complex management company. She said there is no plan to fix the hot tub within the year. Now, to top things off, the pool is also closed for repairs (with no indication of when these repairs will be finished).
Although the pool and hot tub are my biggest complaints, I have had issues with timely repairs of smaller issues as well (e.g., broken smoke alarm). As though poor customer service and management were not enough, the walls in this complex are PAPER thin (as in, I can hear EVERY conversation/​snore from the couple who lives behind me). Even the exterior walls are paper thin, which means you can hear EVERY conversation people have when house guests leave their house at 11:00 PM at night or when irresponsible parents allow their unsupervised children to scream in the driveway until well after 10:00 PM.
I would NOT recommend this property to anyone (well, maybe to someone I don’t like). When I signed my lease, I expected the complex to uphold their part of the contract by providing the ammenities for which I paid. That has NOT happened in the 8 months I’ve lived here and I suspect it will not happen in any near future.

This place is a lie, the outside looks ok but, they charge forever thing. The do not have any space for the kids to play and no basketball court nothing for the young people. The swimming pool is alway dirthy most of the people from across the street come over and full the pool. The work out room is a joke, and try to get them to fix anything is a down hill battle. when u do view this place look for water leaks they are all over the place on the outside we broke our lease because they would not fix the water leak… They try to paint a lovely picture but the picture they are painting is a lie. keep going not worth the problems.
