I am rethinking this one. I was getting this because my father has it, who also lives in the same town as me. I ordered this service 2 ½ weeks ago. The technician, Homer, has received the box to come hook up at my home. My Cantonese isn’t that great, so I had a hard time understanding him. Finally yesterday I had my mom call and ask why he hasn’t come out here yet. He told her he was too far away from my home and that he was going to wait until another person subscribed in my area before he comes out, otherwise, it’s $ 45 for the call. And, I thought he said to me that where I want the cable box, which would be in the living room in the middle of the house, I might not get good reception. Of course, I don’t know if I understood correctly or not, and my mom will have to clarify for me. This really stinks. She said that’s how it goes with non-American Chinese people. You should not expect good service. I’ve already paid $ 39.99, $ 30 for the box and $ 9.99 for the first month and I have it on auto draft. I’ve paid for the first month, but I don’t even have the box to receive any Chinese TV. Wow, if other companies ran their businesses like this, they would never be profitable and go out of business. I wonder if I can get a refund for getting nothing from this company.

Well, our 2 year extension is running out. Called during normal business hours(Pacific Time) to cancel. Tried the English line and going through the«transferring, waiting for answer, transfer to voicemail» routine, got the mailbox full prompt. Called again — tried the Mandarin line, got a live person who did speak English. He told me to hold while he went to his desk. Line was quiet for over five minutes, then they disconnected. Called again — tried the Cantonese line, line went dead after a while. Tried again without selecting a language, after a while, went dead. By the way, I called their customer service line. On the invoice, «For questions please call 1−866−267−2288. I also tried the phone number at the top of their invoice, 1−866−872−7788 with the same results. I will try again next week, and after that, if I cannot get a meaningful response, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I also checked their website which was not helpful and must have took all of 3 minutes to design. No company info, no information, no email — useless. What kind of company does not provide an email address, hangs up on phone calls and does not even have an operating voicemail system? Also got confused by their address. They do not consistently use Schabarum. The invoice says Durbin. With my experience, I suggest you avoid this company, kind of like avoiding SARS or MERS or Mad Cow. Finally convinced my family to go with internet services — much higher quality and variety, although not as easy as instant channel switching. Also note that CCTV4 and related channels(News, Spanish and French) are FTA. The only pay services you get with their subscription is 1 Cantonese, 1 Taiwan, and 2 Phoenix.
