Pretty good subs and breakfast… wasn’t expecting it to be so, but was surprising. Not too badly priced either considering they know you have few options while at Wild Dunes

Beer is pricy at $ 20 for 12 cans but you pay for the convenience as it is at the resort. They have full meals worth of food, snacks, and drinks. They also have toys, candles, and gifts. They have ice cream too!

The market is conveniently located on the property of the Wild Dunes Village apartments. You can walk out the main floor of your building, into the square, and across to the market. The convenience factor definitely is what is granting this place a 3 star. The rest of your experience is going to be hit or miss pretty consistently. The breakfast can be bad, OK, or fairly decent. In the end, I would rather drive across the bridge to the Piggly Wiggly, buy some food, and make it in the kitchenette in my room. At least, I know what to expect when I cook. Plus, the resort is making some serious margins on the goods sold in Hudson’s market so buyer beware on the pricing because you are paying for that convenience.

What a great market! Forget going to the grocery store and stocking up before you get here(unless you really care about saving the Benjamin’s). They have a great little set up to make a comfortable stay when you have a kitchen in your room. They have shelves set up(like a Dean and Deluca) and stocked with a select assortment of dishes to cook(if you’re into cooking while on vacation). They also have plenty of refrigerated cases to pick up a chilled bottle of wine or other thirst quenching beverages. In the mornings, they serve hot breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. They stay open until 10pm or so and you can grab smoothies and other snacks as you settle down for the night. You can also pick up that last little touristy item to reminisce the fun time you had. Great service with friendly staff.
