I went in for the anniversary special advertised on FB, what we got was not what was advertised. The girl working wasn’t clear on what our options were in order to get the special, then she told us we couldn’t get more than 2 samples, which I found especially disappointing since I tried 2 new flavors and didn’t like either! My experience at this location was not good. I wouldn’t go back to this location again. The promotions need to be made more clear and the employees need to be more clear on the ‘rules’ of both the store and the promotions.

At 15wks pregnant, I had the biggest craving for a Chocolate Blast. To my dismay B&R no longer makes it… but the girls working on May 16th around 8pm made this prego girl’s dream come true! Thanks ladies! I’ll be seeing you soon!

I was craving some ice cream and decided to stop by. I usually get mint chocolate chip and jamoca almond fudge, but I saw that they were advertising for a new flavor, crème brûlée. I love crème brûlée desserts! So I asked for a sample and decided to get it. After a couple bites, the crème brûlée was a bit on the sweeter side. But it’s good if you have a sweet tooth. The store was clean. The employee was nice, considering the fact that it was only her working by herself and there were several customers in the store.

Best ice cream shop ever. Best ice cream cakes ever. Every cake is made with care and love. Doesn’t get much better than getting a BR cake from this joint on your birthday.

The shopping center where this store is located is named Meadows. In the future I’ll use the phrase«Ice Cream in the Medows» when stopping here. When making a Ice cream choice I usually go with chocolate and they had plenty of new chocolate choices to choose from: black and white chocolate, Oreo chocolate, and something with Snickers. The employee working was doing paper work but stopped when I approached the counter. I was not wanting to come home with chocolate on my shirt so I ordered Baseball Nut, a vanilla ice cream with cashews and a ribbon of black raspberry. The seating inside included four small tables and outside three long benches. I sat on one of the benches in the shade. The Baseball Nut ice cream cone was very good and I’d choose it again. No ice cream was spilled on my shirt for this review.

For my 100th Unilocal review I think I will celebrate with a nod to an Old Skool ice cream company! For many boomers such as myself, Baskin Robbins is the childhood and retro chain we remember. Before the big premium brands, before those guys from Vermont(who I always mistake for the hosts of Car Talk on NPR), there was Baskin-Robbins, with their reliable flavors plus a few colorful ones too. It isn’t the kona coffee that made the biggest impression though. It was the house that either Baskin or Robbins(I can’t remember which) built on Foothill Road in Beverly Hills, that had me choking on my little sugar cone! What a place. Very grand, very gated, and the beginning of my love for residential design. All I have time and waistline for today is a visit once every two years or so, but as long as Baskin Robbins is in the neighborhood, all is right in the world.
