The Vitamin Shoppe

This is a nice Vitamin Shoppe to visit because it’s well-​organized and clean. The staff is also willing to always help, but know that some of them aren’t very knowledgeable about the products. When I’ve asked someone about amino acid supplement mixes to use before and during a work-​out, they were confused as to what that was and we walked around the whole store trying to find a mix. Despite that though, the staff is very, very nice and try to help you as much as they can. Also, since I’ve been here more than once, some of the staff has gotten to know me and they take notice of what kind of products I buy, so have advised me that certain stuff goes on sale often, which was nice of them.

I have been buying from the Vitamin Shop for years and will continue.
Prices are ok, staff is helpful and they have a good selection. Sale items tend to be hit and miss.
Not sure why Unilocal hides reviews, the other 5 star hidden review seems legit.

Honestly, I wouldn’t even give this place one star, but no stars isn’t an option.
I went there asking for help, not sure of which product to use for my hair/​skin/​nail needs. The first guy was really nice, but wasn’t able to answer my question. Then in walks «john» (inexplicably — the manager) who supposedly knew more, therefore I was passed along to him.
When I told him that I was working with a nutritionist and that he had some specific concerns for any supplement I take, he actually took the two supplements OUT OF MY HANDS, and told me «Well, your nutritionist has a Ph. D, so go ask him». I couldn’t believe it. In case you didn’t understand what I just wrote, the manager of the store took products out of my hands and told me basically to get out of the store. I was embarrassed and couldn’t believe I was being treated this way.
I will never EVER go back to that store. I am a nice person who treats people with respect, and he treated me that way. I can only imagine what he would do to someone who was a challenge.
So I went to the GNC and was treated well and had all my questions answered and was given the best product. Lesson learned.
Bottom line, if you want to be treated like a kid having their hands slapped, go to the Issaquah Vitamin Shoppe and ask for John.
