I have always loved Coldstone but was a little saddened by my visit on a recent vacation to Ithaca. I ordered the cheesecake ice cream with strawberries and blueberries and the fruit did not taste fresh but almost had a freeze dried quality. My boyfriend also ordered the cheesecake with other toppings and he was not too pleased. They seemed not to be very busy which surprised me. I will say though that their location was central and their interiors were clean and had a fancy coffee shop feel.

This is conveniently and ingeniously located next to Buttermilk Falls State Park for anyone who is dehydrated, sweaty, and exhausted after a strenuous hike and need a little R&R. A cool and creamy scoop(or two!) of Coldstone’s ice cream will definitely alleviate your discomfort. :D They’ve got a convenient drive-thru as well! Probably because the shop adjoins Tim Horton’s, a Canadian-based donut chain. Plenty of seating, I ordered the ‘sweet’-sounding ‘sweet cream’ and nestled on some lovely leather armchairs in front of a faux fireplace and television screen. When my ice cream was ready(there was a long line of sweaty people), I eagerly took a few bites with my spoon and I was pleasantly surprised! :D It was sweet but not overly so. Simply made of cream and sugar… without the vanilla. My mind was blown. (5÷5) My mom also packed some ripe strawberries so I mingled those ingredients together. The natural flavor from the strawberries atop cool creamy goodness just made the eating experience so refreshing and delightful! (6÷5) Oh how I wish there was a Coldstone that was in Long Island. :(For now, I will wistfully dream of sweet cream n’ strawberries.

Talk about having a bad experience at the ice cream shop! We ordered the Berry Berry Berry combo, and the order was made of dried cold blueberry an a giant frozen strawberry. The server girl didn’t even try to do the COLDSTONE mix

Getting an awesome sundae through a drive-thru is probably the best thing ever. I’ve always been a fan of Coldstone as I like the whole mash-everything-up-together thing they do, and the fresh waffle bowls are totally addictive. It’s also just fun and novel and the people that work there are pretty funny. This one is a combo with a Tim Hortons, which is why there is a drive-thru option. I had a Tim Horton breakfast sandwich the other day and it was not edible. Yuck. But who cares about TH. Peanut Butter Perfection sundae is the best!
