Friendly staff and really the only sweet shop (but they don’t appear to use that as a handicap) in the city. Fresh sweets and chocolates mixed with old favorites. Only place in town to find chocolate twizzlers!

I stumbled into this place by chance when I stole a quick glance and saw the ice cream signage on the window. Immediately upon entering, I felt like I had left earth for a heaven that reveled in sugar and chocolates. There was so many different types of candies, but the main attraction (other than the ice cream) was the varieties of chocolates behind the glass. You don’t understand, there was so many chocolates! It was probably a dentist’s dream come true!

this is a nice little shop. they have their own chocolates and various other prepackaged candies like pop rocks and other assorted gifts. the people here are really friendly too. so why only 3 stars? well i’m comparing this to fuddy duddy’s in Owego and Chocolates by Leopold in Montrose PA. the prices here are about the same as Chocolates by Leopold but Leopold’s are a lot better in quality. Fuddy Duddys in owego are cheaper and offer really good fudge, and i don’t think life’s so sweet has fudge, and Fuddy Duddy’s has some really good cookies too. i guess i shouldn’t be so hard on these guys pricewise because ithaca’s an expensive town, and as far as i know they’re the only shop like this in ithaca, but really, if you have a sweet tooth and some time to spare, try driving to Owego for Fuddy Duddy’s.

I went to the shop around Easter looking for chocolate bunnies, and found not only chocolate bunnies of both milk & dark chocolate, but also chocolate sheep & chickens. I went back a week later to try other chocolate treats, and my family has been enjoying the dark chocolate covered almonds and cashews I bought. Very nice store with lots of selections in both candy, chocolate and ice cream counter offerings.

This place is doing everything right. They are friendly. The shop is absolutely beautiful. And the wide selection of candy’s and chocolates means there is something for every member of the family. They even have a soda fountain.
They are a little off the beaten path — just around the corner from The Commons — but well worth a walk around the block. Not to be missed when visiting Ithaca.
