Bagel Talk

From the owner to the staff, no one smiles in this place. It is like they are doing you a favour to serve you. Yesterday my wife and I went for breakfast and ordered a couple of egg sandwiches and never received them. Customers came and went and we just sat there. When we asked what happened to our sandwiches we were told they were on their way out to us. 10 minutes later and still no sandwiches, so I went and demanded a refund. Terrible customer service

Anthony the owner is the best and makes the best stuff. His birthday cake cream cheese with his French toast bagel is my favv ! The best bagel store out of all the bagel stores around here.

Great service — employees offer suggestions and give tips on how to keep bagels fresh for days after purchase.

We’ve been here before for one or two bagels. We picked up a big order of bagels, spreads etc for company today. The staff is not friendly at all. Not sure if it’s owner operators but they are not at all sociable.
Si we brought bagels etc to the brunch. We had plain and veggie cream cheese amongst the bagels. My husband was the first to open the veggie cream cheese container and began spreading it onto his bagel. Lo and behold.. he found a blue rubber band, in tact, in the cream cheese. Yuk! Good thing he didn’t eat the bagel and try to swallow the rubber band. Guess it came off the scallions… Not a good job of food prepping!!! Could have been a disaster!!! Not going back. Bagels not fresh even first thing Sunday morning, unfriendly service and a health hazard!

So we decided to try a new place and bagel talk was it. Nice clean place with friendly service and the food was good. We had a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll and a burrito. We also got a marble crumb cake. Everything was tasty and we’ll definitely be back.

Bagel talk in Jackson is one of my favorite spots in the area. I love coming in for coffee and a bagel in the morning before work or even on the weekend to relax and enjoy the paper. The staff is always friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. Your morning is missing out if you don’t go there!

Bagels are great but the staff is not friendly at all. A smile and a greeting makes a big difference!

Inconsistent. I got to the jackson and old bridge location. Old bridge is always a sure bet for a great bagel. The jackson location is hit or miss, and lately I been getting these small, flat, crappy looking bagels with hardly any toppings on it. Step up your game because making 2 u-​turns just to get in an out of that plaza is not gonna be worth it anymore.

The bagels are absolutely delicious and baked fresh right on the premises! I was saddened when the prior bagel store closed in the same location, but am happy that it reopened with freshly baked bagels!!! YUM! The bagels are huge, slightly crispy on the outside, and deliciously soft on the inside. Bring your appetite! They also serve Boars Head Deli — you can’t go wrong.

This place is great… I am very picky about where and what I eat. Their bagels are delicious and the prices are inexpensive. I am originally from up north and these people from Jackson will complain about the dumbest things! They have NO CLUE because there aren’t many food places, you have to go out of Jackson and its still a struggle. They will write a bad review about a pickle missing. If you have allergies why would you even risk going somewhere public… buy a bag of Lenders and call it a day… you live in a town where you get a brand new house for cheap… but the people here want Franklin Lakes quality… please!!!

We were very excited to come here.
Place was fresh looking but totally unorganized. Labels were all over but not matching items. So u had to keep asking questions.
Bagels were all mixed in bins above. So if you have allergies to certain foods like, seeds and nuts I would be extremely cautious!!! My daughters garlic bagel had a sweet glacé taste on the bottom from being mixed with something and then she reacted to it with an ichy throat. Not a smart move on their part. It Would make more sense to keep all bagel flavors SEPARATE and when applying filling make sure there is a liner underneath!!!
They also just smear a light amount of cream cheese on the bagels, so that was very disappointing :(
Bagels tasted ok. But for the $ I wouldn’t order them with cream cheese.
I really hope they do well in this location and improve the organization of the restaurant.
They are located in an area that is developing with tons of retires and new families moving there.
Word gets around and these things can really hurt a business!
