Great food and great people! The service is AMAZING. The food is authentic Italian. I recommend the spinach and artichoke pie! That particular pie includes a creamy cheese sauce with, you guessed it, spinach and artichoke. Only downside is the location. I think if they had a better location the sales would be through the roof! I totally recommend this place for families and couples to enjoy. They have such a wide variety of pizza and Italian cuisine. This place is great for a «quick slice» and a sit down meal. In addition I recommend the zucchini sticks, they are to die for!!! Overall this is a great spot!

Had there pizza a few times and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The crust is a little different, but very tasty, as is the sauce and cheese. Always busy on Friday and Saturday nights…

I’ve been wanting to try this place. We came here for lunch. We shared the Grilled Portobello Salad and Peter’s Special. The tomatoes in the salad weren’t even close to being ripe. It was hard to chew but the rest of the salad was ok. Peter’s Special was pretty good and even better when we brought it home to reheat. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu

Pizza as good if not better than L&B. Excellent pie. Too bad they don’t deliver a little out of the area!

If I could give this review no stars I would. This is the worst pizza joint to ever order from. When I tell you they have the most incompetent people that work there, they can NEVER get an order right! So I figured that maybe third times a charm… NOT! First when you order the woman that answers the phone sounds so miserable that you know there going to f**k something up. Then she tells you after you order that the delivery will take over an hour… What does that mean? It means it’s only an estimate but it will definitely be more than one hour. Ok, so let’s give it a try. One hour and 45 mins later your pizza gets here and it’s not even the right damn pizza! So you call them back all frustrated and hungry that you wasted an hour and 45 mins of your life waiting for something that you didn’t order not want to begin with. That miserable woman places you on hold for 4 mins and once you explain to her that it’s the wrong pizza and you want a refund, surprise… Please hold. WTF!(Dial tone) she hangs up on you! When you do get her back on the phone she can’t even issue you a refund! I had to wait until closing time for the owner to issue a refund. This place is a joke I’m surprise they’ve lasted this long. The first two times I ordered delivery took a hour and half and my pizza’s looked like a mudslide as if when delivered they fell on the floor. I’m never ordering from this shithole again. Strike 3, your out! *P.S: If you guys wanna try an EXCELLENT pizza spot you should try Red Moon in Howell. Not only is delivery under an hour when they are super busy their Brooklyn Sicilian blows Brooklyn Square’s Upside Down Square out of the water to be way more of authentic Brooklyn pizza.*

First time here and we decided to try a couple of appetizers as well as a pie. I stopped in to place the order on the way to get gas and it was ready in 30 minutes. Tried calling numerous times only to get a busy signal. We ordered the Zucchini Sticks(they said they were house made) and they were great. Quite a large order for just $ 5 and their sauce was pretty darn good. My wife is a stickler for good sauce and this passed her litmus test. I opted for a Rice Ball based upon numerous positive comments and it was great — a large ball with cheese and a side of the same great sauce. Great deal for $ 3. We chose the Marone Pie and it was huge — quite a few meals left for another day. The pie was great with mild peeled tomato sauce, lots of cheese and a killer sesame seed crust. They forgot, however, to put fresh basil on the pie. The kitchen/waiting area is very small and one of the cooks was having a little bit of a disagreement with some of the waitstaff. That counts as free entertainment! Definitely will go back — maybe to try an entrée in their dining room.

Have had decent food here but last night got take out. Their pies are very good & our Margarita pie was no exception. Will have to head to the resteruant again soon.

I ate here maybe two years ago and don’t recall what I had but was left with the impression that the food was ok. Nothing special. What stood out was the waitress Donna who was great and figured I need to give it another shot. This time I got a square pizza for take out. I got the basil and cheese which I thought was very good. I usually go for a thin crust pizza and stay away from Sicilian and finding that thick ones are generally too doughy for me. This was not the case with Brooklyn Square. Dough was light and crisp plus I’m a fan of basil in any form. Definitely worth a shot.

This was the first time we ordered takeout from Brooklyn Square Pizza. The food was so good, I’ll probably never order from another pizzeria in Howell. It was that good. We had the Peter’s Special pizza… and it was amazing! Crispy crust, rich flavorful marinara, and just the right amount of fresh mozzarella. Also had the rice balls, which were among the best I’ve ever had. As big as a softball… crunchy outside, creamy inside. Filled with flavor. We also took a chance and ordered fried calamari… also crazy delicious and it was not soggy. They delivered it in a pizza box in an unsealed foil pan… that was the secret to keeping it crisp. I can’t say anything bad about the experience. Awesome food, delivered hot and on time. Highly recommend.

We have bounced around to several pizzerias over the years. We have one picky little guy who is the judge of the best sauce. This is the only pizza place we all adore. Our order is always correct. The staff is often busy as we pick up our order, but never fails to offer a friendly greeting. A waitress who was at our favorite restaurant(before it changed owners) is there now and still remembers us by name. Fantastic food, friendly people, great sauce and perfect crust. Once the bottom of our pizza was overcooked. Not bad for how often we frequent Brooklyn Square. Please don’t change a thing.

Living in Jackson we flip flop between local pizza places because nothing ever stands out as the best. That was until a few years ago when Brooklyn Square moved in!!! I had a family dinner of about 15 there and we all fought over everything because there was not one thing we ordered that was not simply delicious! We all came from Brooklyn and miss all the great food that came from there! My aunt in East Brunswick will take the drive for their Upside Down Pie! I’ve had the Vodka Pie and that sauce makes it! Even just a plain cheese pie is better than any around here! Buffalo Chicken Pizza was my lunch for a week… I could not get enough! Haha Nutella Pie is an amazing creation! Also worth noting, since people like to comment about Peter’s no nonsense attitude, he gave me the pie at half price since he apologized that it was not up to his standards! It was a little overdone but still soo good and the fact that he compensated even though I didn’t ask was very nice. The sesame seed soft crust is what makes this the best pizza ever!!! No matter what you do, there will always be someone complaining and saying they«will never be back» but not this girl!!! Peter don’t ever leave us!!!

I am shocked to see some negative reviews. My experience dining here was PERFECT. I came here with my parents and my sister, party of 4 for Sunday Lunch. We got there around 1 pm, only 2 other tables were occupied. It looks like a typical NJ pizzeria in the front and then in the back is a dining area. First off Peter is so awesome and nice. He came to our table to introduce himself, chatted a bit. He noticed at our table there was some light conflict(just a family of 4 debating over what to order). He wanted to help out and we explained our silly conflict and he gave us suggestions, not that we took them but still it was nice that he wanted to help. I told him I usually like Margarita Pizzas and he told me the closest thing to it was«Peter’s Special». Well that was what were going to order anyway because my parents and sister go there all the time although mostly order to go, and it’s one of their favorite pizza’s. It’s just this one time my mom wanted a regular cheese pizza but we all changed her mind. My father made a special request that«Peter» actually make the pizza since it’s named after him(Peter is the owner). I LOVED Peter’s special. OMG I am drooling right now, almost crying because it’s not possible to eat this on a regular basis — I live in Atlanta and only get to visit NJ maybe 4 times a year. If you are from NJ or NY, you must appreciate how good Pizza or Italian food is in your area. The bread, cheese, the sauce is so much better in NJ/NY for some reason. I moved from NJ to Atlanta 2 years ago and it pains me not to find the good olé pizzeria joints in Atlanta. Don’t get me wrong Atlanta has amazing restaurants but after 2 years I still can’t find a pizza joint that reminds me of my NJ home. Anyway back to Peter’s pizza. The sauce was to die for, when Peter came to check on us I told him how amazing the sauce was, I could taste the freshness. He told us he makes the sauce from scratch daily. But the every single thing about this pizza was devine. We also had calamari as an appetizer. WOW it was like butter! The calamari was big cuts and so tender. I ordered Calamari from a different restaurant just a day before which was priced much more than, and Peter’s calamari was SOOOO much better. Our waitress was also spectacular. I wish I remembered her name, but she was great too. Great service and such an engaging personality. The eggplant rollatini is also very good here. A week before my sister order a try off it for a birthday party. It was the first tray to be finished. I can’t wait to go back to NJ just to come back to Brooklyn’s Square pizza!

I went to this place. But before I wrote about it. I decided to read other reviews to confirm my thoughts. Well I was not alone in my sentiments. The guy behind the counter was preoccupied with a bad mood. Since I just got there I knew that his mood had nothing to do with me. But I have to say. It made me very unease. The pizza a clear cut spumoni garden’s imitation. It’s well done but it can not be fully enjoyed. The place doesn’t have enough traffic in order to make more pies. So the pizza has to seat. This type of pizza is to be enjoyed as soon as it comes out of the oven. And at this place this will not happen. Reasons being the poor welcoming attitude. I will not go back.

This place is great with food, people and its BYOB. I always get the rice balls and the pizza reminds of the NY. Truly a gem.

Oh Brooklyn Style pizza, how much do i love you, let me count the ways. Delicious piping hot pizza whether it’s delivery or sit in, the pizza comes out just right! The dough is always the right consistency and the cheese and tomato sauce is just the right amount with every bite, thanks to the pizza experts here in this pizzeria who knows what they’re doing. The staff are always nice and makes the pizza right everytime single time. The ingredients they use are high quality, you’ll know the moment you taste it. If you are in a mood for great NY pizza, stop by and try it out. You won’t be disappointed.

We just left this establishment after the owner told us he wouldn’t serve us. After ordering a Peters Special with pepperoni, we were told«he won’t put toppings on a square pizza.» I asked why, and was told he just won’t. I remarked that this was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard and to pass that along. Peter came to our table and asked why someone was calling him a f****ing idiot. He was extremely unprofessional and never offered a reason for his irrational refusal to put toppings on a square pizza beyond, «that’s not the recipe.» I will not pay someone money for this behavior, regardless of the quality of the food. Stay away.

If you ever had L&B from Brooklyn you would know it’s not even close to tasting better. It’s the kind of pizza you can eat every once and awhile otherwise you get get sick of it, very doughy pizza. Not awful but not great either.
