I usually find something I would do different when I order food. Yes, I am very picky with food. We decided to try Joseph’s for the first time tonight(not in the mood to go out or cook). All I have to say is ‘Please DONOT change a thing about your Hot Antipasto for Two! The seafood was fresh & spiced perfectly. The eggplant and stuffed mushrooms were magnificent! Cannot wait to try additional items on your menu!

Not typical Pizza Place fair! I had a cheese steak and Fries the other day, it was Fat, thick, juicy and Delish, Fries were Awesome. Tonight i had Calamari, fresh tomatoes in sauce with whole garlic chunks! On Point! plenty to go around. Chicken Parmesan with Vodka Sauce… Kick Ass, Not typical, lots of spice and others cheeses besides Mozzarella. too much to eat in one sitting! Of course with bread and salad, and ½ Pound of pasta included! My girl had Capellinni, Really good, plenty to eat, of course salad and bread. She dipped her bread in my sauce, Ssshhh don’t tell anyone! I always try new places, however this will be my GoTo. Excellent! Kudos to the Chef!

Awesome pizza. Quick delivery. We got the wings which I normally don’t do at pizza parlors, but we were pleasantly surprised by them. I highly recommend getting them they are awesome!

Have been stopping for slices the past month or so. The new management is a breathe of fresh air. Alot better vibe, better look and better pizza. The slices seem to be on the«larger» side and at any given time they have as many as 6 – 10 different varieties of slices. Thier prices also seem to be on the lower side. Give it a try.

I think their pizza is one of the best around although the large piece looks like it shrunk alittle. Just got a cheesesteak tonight and was pleasantly surprised nice portion and full of meat and do cheese for 10 bucks

I can’t give this a lower rating. Joseph’s doesn’t deserve a full star. The place is «under new management» and it’s apparent that it’s either some chain or some guy wanting to «try his hand» at being a restauranteur. The first sin against this place is the hot subs. We ordered a meatball parm, a regular order with us that we’ve enjoyed immensely in the past. Instead of the generous amount of meatballs, cheese and Joseph’s signature sauce, we got a weak sauce that had to have come from a jar, a sprinkle of cheese and three half-meatballs that would qualify as ¼ anywhere else. Then there was the night we stopped by to get an order. We were given what had to be the worse roast beef sub I’ve had the misfortune of eating. «Where’s the beef?» Yeah, a few slices at the bottom were all I got. The«swiss» cheese was terrible, and they tried to make up for this anorexic mess by giving me a «garden salad» on a bun treatment with way too much lettuce, a slice of tomato and, I think, a case of onions. Our other order was what was once on of Joseph’s best dishes, spaghetti and meatballs. Let’s just say one meatball does not a plural make. It also was hard as a rock. All in all, we’re done with this iteration of Joseph’s. We will miss the old owner, who knew what quality was and knew his customers. Arrivederci, Guiseppe’ wherever you are.

The best pizza in Jackson but also the best pizza probably ever! The new owner is very friendly and runs a great business. Highly recommend!!!

The restaurant in Whiting is much better! My friend had the Chicken Caesar pizza and I had the Buffalo pizza. The Chicken Caesar basically consisted of Perdue chicken pieces chopped up and Caesar salad dressing with no cheese of any kind. Most of it was left on the plate. I wasn’t crazy about Buffalo pizza either. With all the pizza places around, you would think that Joseph’s would step it up? Didn’t care for the shoved in bar table and chair seating either. We will not be going there anymore

Love Love this place. I have been driving by Josephs for three years now and finally came in the shop today. My kids and I ordered a pie and it was so tasty and delish. I have issues with all the other pizza out here, wish i found this place sooner. I love the flavor and they just know how to make a good pizza. Staff seemed super nice, especially the owner. I even went back to order more food because i wanted my husband to have some when he got home from work. They are the real deal!

Overrated, to much sauce and very doughy. Plenty of other pizzeria in town to choose from.

I use Unilocal to get credible information. I respect that one day you get good service/food and can be disappointed another day. My comment is not on the food, which was rather good or plentiful. I find the workers a bit arrogant. I have visited them a few times. Last night I called in a order for pickup. Upon paying, I was told«buddy your coupon is a day old.» First, a term of endearment, I am not buddy. Next, the coupon expired the day before. REALLYCOULDN’T TAKEIT! After, getting an additional $ 6 from me(not the end of the world), I was given a menu with a coupon for the same item/discount which this coupon never expires. REALLYCOULDN’T JUSTLETMEUSETHATCOUPON? I just picked the wrong Route 9 Discount Booklet(we had the current one with valid coupon in it). To add insult to injury, the lid on the food in an aluminum take away container was not put on tightly and sauce leaked on the front seat. Probably a mistake. My point is; ‘there is more that food taste/quality.’ Do what I want you to do with this post. My opinion what you should do is to call whoever you have servicing you at Joseph’s ‘BUDDY.’ Ask for a discount(why is food cheaper to those who have a coupon than us who support a restaurant). Last, I used one star(*) only to get your attention(the food was good)! If Joseph treats us right we all win.

We have lived in Jackson for 15 years & despite having found good places for pizza, they only seem to remain good for 2 – 3 years. In the past several years we’ve tried EVERY pizza place in Jackson, established & new places, but they’ve all been terrible. No one seems to be able to make a tasty pizza consistently. Then we tried Joseph’s, which sadly we never realized existed. Finally we have a place to go to in Jackson that makes awesome pizza. We’ve been going to Joseph’s for over a year now and their pizza has been consistently great! Thank you Joseph’s!

Outrageously good. We’ve tried most of the Pizzerias in Jackson and I have to say this is probably the best we’ve had so far. The Caprese salad was great. Looking forward to trying the dinners next time we order out.

Been going here for years — good pizza — nice thin crust but still has right amount chewiness. Wings are excellent — I get them without sauce or sauce on side otherwise they are too soggy if delivered with sauce on them. everything comes hot and crispy. The ceasar salad dressing is a little too tangy for my liking but croutons are good.

I swear by Joseph’s, but I know it gets mixed reviews from everyone in Jackson. I wish they had places this good down south. You can’t go wrong with any of the slices.

3.5 stars. While traveling across I-195 in Jersey, I had my GPS find me a pizza place not too far off the beaten path … and I lucked upon Joseph Pizza in Jackson. My review is only for the slice-pie on display. The 2 plain slices that the two friendly guys behind the counter reheated for me tasted quite decent and were also quite generous in size. It’s a thinner than normal crust(which I prefer), but I wouldn’t call it a thin crust pizza. It’s definitely closer to a traditional-NY-style pizza, with better than average tomato sauce, and best of all, no pools of orange grease dripping down your hands. I suspect that the pizza made-to-order is even fresher and better tasting than what I enjoyed. I will return again.

Whenever I frequent a town, I like to hit all the pizza places to find out which is the best. Last night I had my first taste of Joseph’s, and it’s the best in Jackson thus far. I had the Chicken Parm entrée, which had a fantastic presentation, and tasted even better. I couldn’t finish the entire meal, so I brought the rest home, and I couldn’t wait to eat it, so I had it for breakfast this morning. I am even going back there for lunch today! The service was great; everyone was friendly eager to strike up the obligatory casual conversation laden with social pleasantries. This is not sarcasm, I enjoyed every aspect of Joseph’s Pizza and highly recommend it to anyone in the Jackson area.

Probably the second best pizza place in Jackson. But there are about 90 in Jackson so that’s pretty positive. Same owners for a very long time. Always seems busy, even with having to navigate the horrible wawa parking lot. Always have special promotions in the window as well.

I’ve been going to Joseph’s Pizza for years and this is a rare gem amongst pizzerias in Ocean County. It’s hard to find really good pizza but this is easily among the best, and certainly THE best in my opinion in Jackson. Joseph’s has all your regular pies as well as countless gourmet pies such as «Grandma pizza»(always excellent), Penne pasta pizza(baked penne into the pizza, amazing, 1 slice is always enough), and many more. I’ve had so many hot and cold subs from here and they are always top notch. I have also had hot entrees such as penne alla vodka with chicken and it is very good, they frequently pair it with a small side salad and bread… can’t beat the value for what you get. Joseph’s is well established and has been around for many years and it’s clear to see why. Their staff has pretty much remained the same over the years and they are always real nice, your typical NJ pizzeria staff. The inside of Joseph’s is always clean and well maintained and they always get my money whenever I am NJ looking for good local pizza.
