This was our 5th night staying in hotels, traveling across the country with my family including my elderly mother. She has a service dog with an ID that verifies the dog is a working dog. The gentlemen working at the front desk informed us they were not pet friendly. When given the dogs credentials, he proceeded by asking us to sign an agreement to charge us a non-refundable $ 100 pet deposit. It is my understanding under title l and title ll of the ADA, hotels and restaurants must allow service animals. Very disappointed!

We stopped in Jackson Tennessee to spend a night during a long road trip. The courtyard Marriott looked alright in the lobby. It had a bar and bistro that looked better than I hoped for. They had 7 – 8 varieties of cold beer and you rarely get that in a road trip hotel. But the bistro was out of 80% of the food menu. The food they did have was not fresh. My wife returned the salad. The lady working the bistro told us they hadn’t had a good delivery in over a week so that was probably why it tasted so disappointing. If you are going to stay here then bring your own food or go out to eat.

While the hotel is decent, and the staff was always good. The actual hotel construction is pretty lousy, you can here every step of someone upstairs. Cleanliness leaves A LOT to be desired! If the floors, bed or bath are dirty it makes you uncomfortable. Hairs, especially. Wipe things up!

Good bedroom, but my isues were with the bathroom. It had a very moldy shower curtain, refilled halfway shampoos and conditioners, and a lukewarm shower at best, on the hottest setting. On overnight trips, all I need is a bed and a shower, but I wouldn’t recommend this place for a shower.

Got into Jackson late and needed a place to stay. Was affordable for two people, and had no issues. The bed was soft, shower was hot and clean, and the morning service was very humble. Thank you!

When I checked in, the lady at the counter was so unwelcoming and I felt like I was putting her out by checking in. While I was standing there, another employee walked by and she berated him for not carrying a walkie talkie. She asked if I had a floor preference, which I didn’t. Then she asked if I minded staying on the side facing the highway. Why would you ask that? I guess because people like me who have been driving all day and are delirious and just want to get in their room will absentmindedly say that’s fine. There are 91 rooms in this hotel — the first 45 to get filled up should be on the side away from the highway, always. Then, she handed me my room key and said«Here you go.» No «have a nice night», no «enjoy your stay«, no directions to my room, no pool or food hours, just«here you go». So I said thank you and started walking out. As I’m leaving she calls out«oh, is that your silver car out there?» I told her it was and she said«I thought so». Okay… We tried the pool, which was very chilly. The hot tub wasn’t working. The WiFi was so extremely slow that we shut it off on our phones and had to use our cell network. Thankfully my son sleeps with a white noise machine, but even with that we could hear the traffic from the highway. And the footsteps of literally every person who walked down the hall. It must have been the ½» gap between the door and the door jamb. There were miscellaneous screws and nuts on the window sill outside our door, and on the floor outside our door. Also, the window in our room opened. Like slid open all the way and there was no screen or any bars or anything to stop people(children) from falling out. Avoid this hotel! We paid $ 125 for this terrible stay. I’ve paid much less for so much better.

For a Marriott brand hotel I was terribly unimpressed. The walls are about as thin as a Kleenex tissue so you hear every little thing(I heard our neighbor’s entire trip itinerary upon waking on morning #2). Also we were awakened at 7 am when we had planned to sleep in by some noisy guests(so we thought) standing right outside our door chatting for over 30 min. When we finally got up and dressed to go get coffee we discovered the people(who were still there) were in fact hotel employees standing RIGHT outside out room having a b***hfest about their jobs and the hotel politics. They didn’t bother to stop chatting while we walked past and I now know the details of their pay and how disgruntled they are about their jobs. We also had an issue with housekeeping not actually«keeping house» so to speak. We aren’t super messy but stayed over the t’giving holiday and had a long day with family and when we got back to the hotel we wanted nothing more than to come back to a clean room with a nicely made, cozy bed. Well we were gone almost 14 hours and returned to a room where the trash was emptied in the bathroom and soap was replaced but literally NOTHING else was done. No clean towels, dirty towels left and the bed still unmade. Not to mention the trash in the room was still there. I kind of felt like housekeeping came in our room only to look around and see if we had anything good to take then left without doing anything because they were mad we didn’t leave any valuables. Why even bother coming in my room if you don’t do your job? Next time we are in town for family stuff we will stay elsewhere.

Nice hotel, staff was friendly. But it sits right off the highway and traffic notice was louder than most.

Stayed here twice. The second time I was chewed up by bed bugs. I’d like to say something nice about the service(the staff was very kind and helpful). But bed bugs is sort of a trump card. Do not stay here.

Fantastic representation of the Marriott brand! Every employee encountered was friendly and helpful! Check in and out with Brennan was a breeze and questions to Lucas were answered quickly and he was sincerely happy to do so! I cannot believe this hotel is 8 years old. Upon check in I thought that this hotel was brand spanking new, well stocked bistro and market. The lounge and business center was beautiful and all the grout in the hallways bathrooms and tiled areas was clean! The GROUT! I was very surprised, pleasantly so, at how well maintained this hotel is! Keep it up Jackson Courtyard!

Pet-owner’s Dream. I’m a lifetime Silver Elite member with Marriott, nearing lifetime Gold status. My family and I stopped at this Courtyard because I’m a Marriott fan and we needed a pet-friendly hotel. There was no pet fee charged here. You have to sign a waiver stating that you will pay for any damage caused by your pet, including lost revenue associated with the damages. Standard fare, really. This hotel is very clean. There is a large, grassy area beside the property for dogs to be walked. Check-in was a breeze. The staff was pleasant. We did not experience any noise while we were there, but it may have just been the folks that were staying there during our stay. There is almost nothing else around this hotel, except another hotel. However, there are lots of services one exit closer to Memphis(west). We will stay here again.

We needed a place at the last minute and it was wonderful. The beds were so comfortable we wish we could take them home and the pillows were Devine. Staff friend room clean.. Price was reasonable

I was relocating across country and decided to stay here as it was a convenient stop along the way. One of the nicest features was that there is no additional charge for dogs — which is extremely rare to find. The room was very well kept and the hotel was in great condition, especially for being pet-friendly. I would highly recommend this to everyone!

Driving from Houston to Ohio with our dog and looked for a motel halfway that accepted dogs. This place is great! Very friendly and welcoming front desk. No charge for the dog, although they might have just let it go. The hotel is just off I 40 Northbound between Memphis and Nashville. The room is very nice, large, clean, and well appointed. Ordered takeaway dinner from the Bistrot on the first floor. Excellent burger and the best French fries I have EVER had. Extremely crisp and tasty. There is free wifi, a swimming pool, gym, and laundry room. I’d say this is the best highway hotel experience, especially with a dog, that I’ve ever had!

While working in Jackson for several weeks I decided to stay here after an awful experience with Doubletree! Check in was efficient, greeted as a Platinum member, upgraded to a suite w/a balcony, and bonus points! Pretty basic Courtyard here — Seemed a little old — but everything was clean and smelling just fine. Bed was comfy — good warm water pressure. Wake up call was always on time(multiple wake up calls are great) Everything was close-by(Nothing walking) and the staff were pretty friendly I would stay here again(but how about some updating?) under $ 150

Just one major issue… there was a big ugly stain on the carpet near the bed. I expect things like that at a $ 35 night Motel 6 but not when I pay 100 bucks for a night in a hotel. Except for the above the room seemed clean and modern and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would stay here again but I would check the room before I signed on the dotted line.

The staff at the hotel is very friendly and attentive. Check in was easy, and we grabbed a quick dinner at the Bistro. We had a slight glitch due to gluten, but it was my fault for not asking enough questions. Regardless, the staff was accommodating and took the food off our bill and offered a substitute. The room is clean and generally fine, but the bed was not too wonderful. The blanket was thin for the winter, and the pillows were the worst. The pillows were flat and small — about the size of a couch pillow, and not suitable for a King size bed. There were also only 4 of these in the whole room(we checked closets, etc). No problem — we called the front desk. They stated they had a pillow shortage and would check and call us back. They never called, so we made do with what we had. A hotel with a pillow shortage? Isn’t that the crux of your business? In all, we would come back again because it is clean, convenient, and the staff is very friendly. We’ll just bring our own pillows next time.

A Little Piece of Paradise on the Highways of Tennessee… We were making the long haul from New Jersey to Texas when we transmission issues and had to stop suddenly on the road. After searching for nearby Marriott Hotels, the Courtyard at Jackson, TN had a cancellation and was able to sneak us in very early in the morning. Our family stumbled into the hotel a little blurry eyed and ready for a soft bed. Everyone was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed to make it through the night. They helped us get settled and find what we needed to make the repairs necessary to our truck. We had to get back on the road but worked in the lobby after checking out to finish up with a client before heading back the truck to make the 7 hour trip back to Texas. The hotel is very well situated, it has comfortable beds, was extremely clean and had fabulously fast internet. They had a well-stocked pantry and even severed Starbucks coffee. You can’t argue with that first thing in the morning. We were very grateful for all the kindness and will make sure this hotel is on our map for a stop-off on our way through Tennessee.

Cornelius was super at check in and the staff is very helpful. They cannot help the fact that I have seen piñatas of thicker materials than the walls, or that the towels are like sandpaper. However, it’s clean and modern. If you are exhausted and HAVE to pull over this is the best option in Jackson. But the town is such a craphole you should motor on if you have the choice.

This was the best hotel I stayed at on my cross-country trip from venice, ca to asheville, nc. The desk clerks were top notch. Super friendly & helpful. Our room was amazing. Comfortable. Clean. Huge. Quiet & Cozy. This hotel is pet friendly with no additional fees. +++++ After check out(and 3 hours of driving) we realized we left a meditation cushion in our room. The staff had it fedexed to us, no problem. I WANT to stay here again. You get more than what you pay for, imo.
