The service was excellent. My wife did not enjoy the Prime Rib because it was not as tender as it should be and not succulent. Also, I personally was very disappointed with the veal. I normally have veal when I’m there but this is the first experience with an unacceptable quality of veal. It was very fatty and I could not eat the entire piece. Also, I’d like to comment that you only have one choice of chicken but it’s with artichokes, which I don’t like. Surprised that you would offer this choice!

We frequent the Grille quite often and find the quality of the food excellent. There are always great specials and the menu has quite a selection of excellent choices as well. We find all the staff very personable and the bar is fantastic as well. So glad we have both the restaurant and bar at Westlake!!!

The Grill at Westlake is now our favorite place to entertain friends and family. The food is fresh, well prepared and presented beautifully. We are proud to have this fine restaurant in our clubhouse and community. My favorite dish is the crisp roast chicken, my husband favors the«duck two ways»,(which has both duck breast and leg). A recent St. Patrick’s day menu started with a delicious Irish potato soup, continued with choice of Shepherds pie or corned beef with cabbage, red skin potatoes, peas and carrots and dessert & coffee were included.

This was our first visit back to the Grille since it was taken over by the owners of Tre’ Amici in Long Branch, NJ. The club is the private restaurant for the community of Westlake(1400+ homes) in Jackson, NJ. I am writing this review primarily for anyone in the community who is a Unilocal member or anyone who reads the review and wants an invite to dinner with a friend who is a resident … The décor of the Grille is as nice as ever and the addition of a bar is welcome — beer on tap and in bottles, wine and mixed drinks are available and diners can still take advantage of BYOB as well. The menu is quite nice and, overall, reasonably priced. I wanted to try one of the appetizers but opted for the soup and salad bar instead. Both were excellent and the salad bar was continuously refreshed during our time at the restaurant. The menu is spilit into two levels, one at lower prices and the other a little higher. Nothing was priced over $ 24 last night. I think the pricing is fair and adds another plus to living in the community. We all had soup and salad before enjoying Baked Meat Loaf and Shrimp Scampi from the everyday menu as well as Hanger Steak and Mahi Mahi from the Chef’s Selection menu. There were also 3 specials that sounded quite good. Dessert consisted of Crème Brulee’ and New York Cheesecake which were both excellent. The only negative was the wait time for our check but I attribute that to growing pains. The Grille opens for lunch today and for brunch on February 3.
