This place is amazing! It’s a cute little bar scene with an awesome outdoor patio with an even better view. It was kind of hard to find at first when in the parking lot since its tucked all the way in the back. We then walked in and seated ourselves as that what a sign said. It was so nice out but the mid day sun made it too hot to sit outside :(wish they had awnings out there. I order the big crack and my dad ordered the dirty burger. They didn’t specify what was in my burger but just said it was thee best so I just decided to give it a try and it was a BIGSLOPPYBEAUTIFULMESS. I would need like 3 mouths to be able to have it wide enough but it was fantastic. My dad and I both cleaned our plates. Such an awesome little place and everyone must’ve been in the national parks because it was pretty empty for lunch time. This was recommended by a local white water rafting company and would’ve never heard of it if it weren’t for them. They even have free shuttle service for when you get too turnt which it pretty lit. Oh and fries are bomb too goodbye

Wouldn’t go again. Good food but nothing that you couldn’t find somewhere else. Takes FOREVER(like 2 hours for lunch)! Bad service.

My expectations for The Bird were, perhaps, unrealistically high. I bookmarked it some time ago because I was intrigued by the menu and impressed with the view. After experiencing both, I would probably go back again, and hopefully could bump my rating up a star by making better choices. I got a 4 oz. burger with cheese and bacon. It was little and really puffed up. The meat was well seasoned, but after reading the extended homily in their menu about how a medium burger should look, I was disappointed when mine was overdone. My cousin, and people at a neighboring table, ordered schnitzel and it looked fantastic. Next time I might try that or just go for the bigger burger. The view, as promised, was exceptional. This is definitely the place to come for some quality outdoor drinking. I saw on their brunch menu that they have a great deal on endless mimosas on Sundays. Also, if you’ve imbibed a little too much, The Bird offers a free shuttle home. In all, The Bird seems like a pretty cool place. Though my experience was something of a letdown, I’m definitely open to giving The Bird another go.

I’ve had mixed experiences here. Food and beer are good, but overpriced. Service has been good most times, but it’s also been awful before. The atmosphere is cool though, which is why I’ll be back.

My husband and I loved our burgers and our boys loved their BBQ wings! The Bird was recommended to us by our hotel and we are so glad we went. It is a bit out of town but the second we pulled up we saw that the parking lot was full and realized that every local was there and knew that was a good sign. The food was great, the service was great, and the view was amazing! A trip to Jackson Hole wouldn’t be complete without visiting this restaurant.

Awesome place with outstanding views! Great beer selection too! We love their bottomless mimosas on Sunday at brunch. Their burgers on English muffin are delicious and their bacon jam is sinful! The service was excellent! We can’t wait to go back!

We had a group of eight. Everyone left happy. The Bushy beaver(veggie) burger received good reviews from our group vegetarian. I had the classic Buffalo wings(hot). They were awesome and actually spicy af. You can tell they are proud of the meat they use. The English muffin buns really allow you to enjoy the meat. One in our group also had a ribeye and it was cooked very well. This is a nice hole in the wall with great food. Check it out.

Great food, great atmosphere, the beer and wine choices were a perfect mix of local, regional and global brands and the service was quick and pleasant. Best wings in JH.

The Bird was awesome! The burgers were so different and so delicious! The quality of the meat is obvious and the english muffin bun really works! The Bird has a very laid back atmosphere. We ate on a Thursday around 7. It was still very kid appropriate although I was happy we weren’t seated at the table with the stripper pole! I would say they had the best burger I have ever had! The staff was super friendly and service was great even though they were so busy!

This is the local bar you wish you had at home. Great beer selection, friendly service, low-key, and with owners who care about running things right. The food kicks ass also. …here is the problem with most bar food; It is either all the same average Sysco frozen food served up by a cook who doesn’t care OR it is a way overpriced gastro pub bastardization serving up small portions of extremely overpriced food, when all you really wanted was a solid burger and a draft special. The Bird is neither of those. The Bird has your standard bar menu with burgers, wings, sandwiches and a token steak, BUT each one of them is prepared and served with attention to detail. The burgers kick ass. They are weighed so if you get a 9 oz. burger, that is how much it weighs when it arrives in front of you. It’s not the pre-cooked weight«half-pounder» most places serve which arrives looking like a fast food quarter pounder. If you get the big burger, you get one mom would be proud to serve you! But with way better fresh ground rib eye beef. The wings are ridiculous. Really. I like hot wings. Every time I order wings I am always disappointed they are too mild.(However, I always order one down from the«suicide/nuclear» wing because those are just battery acid with red food coloring.) Well, if you like hot wings, get the MILD wing here. Trust me. The HOT will hurt you. There’s one above that called the«don’t even try» or something like that. I don’t know… it’s made with ghost peppers. The HOT wing is made with habanero… but not the habanero like that bottle of hot sauce you have at home and enjoy on your tacos and eggs. This is habanero like someone stuck a whole pepper in your mouth and told you to chew. The shit is hot. Get the mild. I have a very good tolerance for heat and I could only put down 5 of the 12 I ordered and had to experience the pain twice. …do the math. The Philly is a respectable cheese steak. They put Cheese Whiz on it! I didn’t have to ask for it, I wasn’t given a provolone option. They served it up like they do in South Philly… Whiz Wit, unless you say otherwise.(I don’t know what green peppers were doing on there, but I had them removed. ;) They also had steaks I didn’t see and shnitzel which appeared to be a big hit. It was as big as the plate it was served on. Fries are great as well. If you are on vacation, go here early in your trip. You’ll want to go back a second time. If you live in Jackson, count yourself lucky. Most don’t have places like this at home.

Unfortunately it was not an impressive burger for us. Perhaps the best thing about this business is the view from the restaurant/bar but the food is passable. It is definitely 4.5 stars quality. The house salad is meh nothing to write home about so as the burger(the works). It looked good but failed to satiate. Perhaps it is missing something like a good sauce to blend the flavor together or a better seasoning for the ingredients. I dont know what it is but it I can assure you that In ‘n out burger can give the Bird a better bang for your dollar.

Best burgers and deck views in Jackson! It is the go to spot for Sunday funday, bottomless mimosas, and football sunday. The young management keeps this place hip and busy, throwing great parties once a season(guides & gapers, ugly sweater, etc.). The Bird, also, offers FREE shuttles to and from the restaurant. Don’t drink and drive!

I paid $ 16 for a burger and I’m still trying to figure out for What exactly I paid for! Is it for the measly piece of bread that didn’t even cover the burger?(it wasn’t a bun) or for the skimpy amount of guacamole on top??? When the burger itself was meh, very plain. I wish I knew why people rave about their burgers, but they lost me for sure. BTW I realized a common thread in these three cities; Jackson wy, lake Tahoe, and Vegas, they all have an overhyped, overpriced, exaggerated, food scene… Just my few sense here.

Very relaxed, interesting place. A little trouble finding the actual entrance, as it is connected to a gas station/liquor store/apartment complex. Great beer on tap, delicious burgers, and an even better view when you sit on the patio.

Pretty good spot with the deck and bar area as the main attraction — we were lucky enough to come during sunset time and enjoy it with a brew. Then bellied up to the bar and received good service from the bartender. They had a good beer selection and the burger selection on the menu is impressive. I was surprised no chicken burgers were available but oh well, a meat lovers paradise to be sure. They did have chicken wings which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also the salads were impressive as well. Good vibes and good food here at The Bird!

Get a burger. some reviews didn’t have great things about it but I loved mine. Why? Because it was different! Not fast food and not something you will see anywhere else. I really appreciated the disclaimers on the menu both about their burgers and the restaurant. It’s definitely a local dive where regulars go to get smashed and have a good time, however I find that the cuisine is also quite above the average bar. And being In a tourist town like Jackson allows them to sport a higher price per dish, but honestly it’s still not bad at all. Burgers are great if you have a taste for a better meat and something right from the grill. The menu literally says they don’t use heat lamps at all as to give your food a speedy delivery from the grill and also time to allow it to cook even more. In my opinion the sandwiches are the best, but go try it out. I think you will enjoy it. Especially if you get to have that view of the mountains while you eat.

Visiting from Virginia staying w friends who are in town for a few months for work. This place has all I need. Fantastic food, excellent variety of beer and the laid back approach to service you want in JH, WY. If you are looking for a fast meal or lean to the«picky» side go somewhere else. Their product is awesome but there are no airs about them. Dogs are welcome and the sunset from the deck is breathtaking. I can see why this is the locals place and I hope it stays that way. James Brown accompanied our dinner tonight over the speakers and the servers are as handsome as they are laid back. Try it once and(like us) it will become your first choice in JH.

We were told this was a great, local hangout. But we needed to get there early or be expected to wait. So we went around 4:00pm on a Monday afternoon. There was no wait and the restaurant was less than half full. Our kids(ages 10&7) split a cheeseburger. The waitress told us that all of the burgers are cooked to a medium temperature, so if the kids wanted it cooked more towards well they should let it rest. Which they did. They enjoyed their burger! My wife ordered The Texan which came with a fried egg. I had a 9 oz Works, which included bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms. The Birds burgers are served on English Muffins. This hamburger was DELICIOUS!!! The burger was so big and full of toppings, I took one bite and the burger EXPLODED onto my plate. I ended up eating it with a knife and fork. Between the four of us, there was NOTHING left on our plates! The beer was cold and the wait staff were genuine!
