Had lunch here once and dinner twice during a recent trip. Amazing bison chili, excellent burgers, and great pot pie selections each week. Good kid’s choices available, too. During one trip, I managed to actually meet and speak with the chef. Nice guy who is clearly plugged into his place. A good all-around family restaurant in Jackson.

Had dinner there last night. My buddy and I both had the ribeye, which by the way is choice, and not prime cut. It had very good flavor but far too much fat. The winter market salad was outstanding. Lynley took good care of us but should definitely show her pretty smile more often. We had a couple glasses of Don Julio anejo for about five dollars each which was a really great price.

My wife and I had a magical weekend in Jackson a few months ago when we went up for the 50th anniversary of Jackson Hole Resort(6 $ lift tickets were hard to pass up!). She’s a big time foodie so we were hoping to find a great restaurant to put a good end to a great day. We stumbled upon this place and absolutely loved it. I’m vegetarian so bar food isn’t always the best for me, but the Silver Dollar was fantastic. They had the best vegetarian burger that I’ve ever had(I’m pretty picky about veggie burgers, too). The atmosphere was also great. There was a cowboy band playing, people dancing, and a nice setting. It was an unforgettable night.

This bar and grill is the bomb! I stop by for lunch Every time I’m in town because the food is delicious and the prices are more than reasonable. The patio seating is excellent when the weather is great, not now of course because it is just too damn cold. I prefer the Guinness stout draft to go with a fine Turkey sandwich combo & soup. Mmmm any day is a fine day for a sandwich and soup combo in my book.

Must see spot. Great bar and full menu with great food. Won half our meal free by flipping a silver dollar. Steak and Mac n cheese sandwich with bacon were awesome. Service great too.

Looked at the menu posted on Unilocal site. Actual menu in restaurant only has about half of the items. Waitress said they haven’t had this menu for a long time. Very disappointing. Update your menu posting. Average food.

I have been here on two separate trips to Wyoming, mainly for drinks, and it has been consistently good. I have mostly had beer here, so there’s nothing to mess up there, but the service has been friendly and attentive. On my last visit, I got to try the spinach artichoke dip… oh em gee… this stuff was beyond good. So garlicky and cheesy, with a huge portion(they had to refill our chips, true story). I ate so much of this, I couldn’t eat dinner… ridic. Go get this dip!

We decided to check this place out on the advice of a local shop owner. The menu displayed outside looked pretty similar to other restaurants in town so we grabbed a table outside on the sidewalk to enjoy the warm evening temps. The Portobello fries and corn chowder were better than our entrees, which were pretty boring. And good thing we ordered apps because it took well over an hour for the entrees to arrive. I get that it was a busy Sunday evening, but they had plenty of wait staff on hand and it’s not like the food is anything special. I think the problem is with the kitchen because our server was fine.

Stopped by here because the fiddle player in my dad’s band played here 50 years ago. We ordered the corn chowder, rueben, and veggie quesadilla, all of which were disappointing. The corn chowder was a 3⁄5. Very rich, but something just tasted a little off. Per hands the melted cheese on top. The quesadilla was terrible. 2⁄5. We ordered it with jalapeños but it came with bell peppers which made it too sweet. It was also very soggy. My mom had the rueben which she said was OK, but something just wasn’t quite right about it. The one saving grace to this place is its great atmosphere inside the Wort hotel, which has a beautiful foray, and is situated in the heart of Jackson. There are photographs of all the famous bands that have played here through out the many years of the hotel’s existence and we saw my dad’s old band-mate’s picture there.

The atmosphere was nice… cozy with elegance. The food was excellent. I had the Buffalo Brisket Sliders to start… it came with two sliders and fries. The meat had a nice smokey flavor and was coated in a delicious Huckleberry bbq sauce. It also came with a side of gouda cheese sauce, thin & great for dipping. For dinner I had the Rabbit Sausage(toss-up between that & Elk Short Ribs). Excellent choice– 3 sausage links served with caramelized peppers and mashed potatoes. Loved it! I had to skip dessert because I was way too full :( The only thing I didn’t love was the service… She seemed to have an attitude(maybe because I was in a t-shirt and ball cap) but I was pretty disappointed with her.

This is a quintessential«fancy cowboy» restaurant, complete with local game on the menu. There’s not much in the way of late night eateries in Jackson, so this place is an oasis if you’re pulling into town late. Our waiter Matt was awesome, cluing us into a bunch of cool local things to do. We’ll be back!!!

How does this place have 3 ½ stars? The food here was barely edible and the staff were rude and not very helpful. I can definitely say that this place is a prime example of why Jackson Hole is truly a hole. The city is really tailored to rich people with no class. 90% of the stores were jewelry stores don’t forget they also have a Sothebys there. I also spotted a plastic surgery clinic in town. «While on your rich white trash vacation to Jackson Hole why not get some liposuction or some collagen lip injections!» Anyway, I digress. We had trouble even finding a place to eat in Jackson Hole as most of them had bars and wouldn’t allow kids in. Finally we came to the bottom of the barrel and tried The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill. I wish I would have actually gotten a Silver Dollar when I went there because that would have been more worthwhile than the meal I ate. I ordered a bison burger and it was tasteless. Bison meat is naturally flavorful so either what they served me wasn’t Bison or they figured out a way to actually remove flavor from the meat. I guess that is quite a feat in and of itself but not necessarily a good one. My wife has an egg allergy and asked if the burger buns had egg in them. Turns out they do, she asked if anything on the nachos were prepared on the same surface as eggs and the waitress said no. Turns out she was horribly wrong as my wife got terribly sick that night. After asking the waitress about eggs she became very rude the rest of our meal. We asked for extra sour cream and she made some statement to another waitress about how she HAD to go get more sour cream as if she was annoyed that she had to do her job. This place is a total abomination like the town it’s located in. I give the Silver Dollar Bar & Grill 1 Doubleday but that’s only because there is no lower rating to give. I also recommend you try eating somewhere else in fact, just avoid Jackson Hole in general and stick to Jackson and the National Parks.

Evidently, the geniuses at Unilocal are not allowing my review to be part of the regular list. Instead, their stupid software has made all of my reviews, not recommended. My wife and I love this place! We are locals, and eat out quite a bit, and the Silver Dollar Grill is one of our favorites! I don’t see it on the menu now, but the portabella fries were really good; comes with a tasty, spicy dipping sauce. The corn chowder is really that good and can be a meal in itself. One of my go-tos for drinks is the jalapeño margarita; the infused jalapeño is readily noticeable! My favorite entre is the Wyoming Whiskey Wild Boar Chop! This is a large frenched chop that is juicy and full of flavor. And the whipped potatoes are amazing! This is a must visit. After eating, hop across the hall for some great entertainment and enjoy another jalapeño margarita!

I had a lot higher expectations for this place by looking at the menu. There were some really unusual items on the menu, but from what we tried, they were just so-so. I opted for the elk gyro and it was very plain. There was hardly any flavor to it. The elk was cooked nicely, but it was boring. I’d like to give this place another shot, but they have an uphill battle ahead of them. With so many amazing sounding dishes on the menu, I was shocked at how bland it turned out. Even my friends that go t the buffalo burgers said they were«meh».

Live music on the weekends, specials on the weekdays, and a fun casual setting. There’s not much to dislike here. The location is great, right off the town square, and if you’re in Jackson this is going to be a stop on one or more of your nights in town.

It was off-season and the bar had mostly locals who knew eachother on this Monday night. The staff was very friendly at the bar and I had a simple meal of hamburger and homemade potato salad. The burger was ½ pound and cooked perfect and the salad was decent, but small portion. They have two menu’s and I ordered off the cheaper bar menu. There was a decent local Wyoming beer I enjoyed as well and the Cowboys lost on Monday night to complete a pleasant experience.

The bar was packed, but we had no problem getting a table for 5 at the restaurant on a Saturday night. The menu was exotic and amazing … unfortunately the food less so. The corn chowder was mentioned frequently and that was excellent — if you find yourself here, order that for sure. I’m sure it hits the spot when you are cold and hungry! I had the Buffalo Filet Mignon — I ordered a medium rare but it was definitely rare. And unfortunately, the buffalo meat was a bit too gamey for me to really enjoy. I tried to give it away to my family — but none of them enjoyed it either. Since the waitress never came back to check on us, I couldn’t request my meat get a bit more cooked. We also ordered the boar chops — 2 orders — 1 medium and 1 medium rare. They were delivered to the wrong person and we didn’t realize it until we were several chops into the meal. Nothing wrong in the preparation, but another dish no one wanted to finish. It was by far the most expensive and worst meal of our trip.
