Sometimes Breakfast isn’t always available for the hard working citizens of New York on a Sunday. This brings us to five desperate, and brave individuals who needed food to fight their Sunday workgrind. We were surprised that we couldn’t find hardly any places that delivered from GrubHub. We scrolled and searched before our exhausted little hearts became frustrated. Thus, we all then came to a final decision. The Crispy and Tasty Café was the winner. As we began our orders we were amazed to find the large smoothie combinations and different breakfast options this mediocre café had to offer. We placed our orders and didn’t look back. After an hour passed by we finally got the call we’ve been waiting for. Our delivery driver was here. The overall presentation was great. The food was wrapped neatly and carefully packaged to prevent spillage. We all began to indulge in what we soon realized… Was a massive mistake. It began with the slight stomach aches. We all figured it was just from the amount of food and smoothie we were digesting. However, this was not the feeling of a satisfied meal. This was the feeing you get after you eat Chinese food from a vending machine. We moaned and groaned until six cans of ginger ale later we finally started to shake that «Tuesday morning» feeling. Thankfully, we all took courtesy walk, cough and fart walks away from one another. We can all agree that nothing here is Crispy nor Tasty.

Oh my god disgusting!!! Ordered a gyro. Got cold meat GLOBBED with white sauce on a horribly stale, hard pita. I couldn’t even find the meat under the sauce. It’s so much I couldn’t even scrape it off. Lost my appetite. Really truly disgusting. I’m beyond furious, order was almost $ 30 and no one can even eat the inedible crap.

I ordered 2 chocolate mousse cakes from them using Grubhub, what I got were these nasty, small, and clearly old cheesecakes things. When I told Grubhub, Grubhub called them and were told that I was lying and that I was given what I ordered and that they dont want to refund me. Really? How is this a chocolate mousse cake? And this is the second time they did this. Both times no refund. I called the nice driver (he was really sweet) when he was a block away to take these «cakes» back and he said that he is only a driver and that I need to call the restaurant. Grubhub just ended up giving me a $ 10 credit (since I paid 4.25 per cake) and I ordered ACTUAL chocolate mousse cake from a diner that was 3 times the size of the «cake» I received from this «café».

Me and my husband ordered breakfast this morning for delivery, it came within a half an hour, and it was OK. We also ordered two smoothies, which were good. My order was very accurate which I enjoyed. I also ordered a Cajun chicken burrito which I did not enjoy. I gave this restaurant a three out of five stars only because my order was accurate to the tea. I’m not exactly sure if I’ll order from them again.

Food keep pretty quick so I had no complaints there.

The only reason they received one star from me is because there is no lesser option. Ordered chicken soup from them two days ago because I wasn’t feeling well. I drank the broth went to bed thinking everything was fine. Within couple of hours I woke up in a cold sweat and vomiting, only to find out I got food poisoning. Horrible food. Horrible service. Never ordering from there again.

Crispy and tasty it’s the best café I have been to so far. The buffalo wingsare a must try with garlic fries. I have also tried the chicken Philly sandwich, the owner made it spicy and zesty. They have a huge selection of desserts. The cheesecake was yummy. I always have a three course meal when I go there. Comes to say, you don’t have to go to a fancy place to get a delicious dinner.

Just ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and I asked for fries and onion rings.
I recieved only fries, not that many I must say and No Onion Rings. The bacon was very fatty on the burger and the bread didnt taste fresh at all.
This restaurant has really disappointed me lately, I will think twice before placing an order.

Terrible and arrogant service after delivery.
I ordered and paid for a deluxe burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese, and pickle, and I just received a plain hamburger. That’s fine, and people make mistakes so I called back and explained the situation. The guy– Sunny, was very arrogant. I asked for either another burger or a reimbursement, he declined. Only after I asked to speak to the manager he suddenly changed his attitude and asked if I would like another order but it would show up in AN HOUR.
Horrid service.
Arrogant employee. He even hung up on me once.
Fries were soggy.

Terrible experience.

This place used to be really good, but not anymore. My tortilla chips were stale, the salad vegetables were not fresh at all. It seemed like my meal was on it’s way to the garbage when they delivered it to me. Very disappointed.

Well I’ve just ordered from here and am very disappointed. I got a chicken filet sandwich with fries and a BBQ cheese steak with 2 drinks. The fries were old and soggy, the chicken sandwich was drenched in mayo, and my cousin told me his BBQ cheese steak tasted like they forgot the BBQ. Good thing we had a bottle of it at home. Oh, and good thing we had some ginger ale too because they forgot the drinks.
So, the moral of the story is: if you want to order from here, make sure you keep a well-​stocked fridge because it looks like the folks at crispy and tasty don’t.

They used to be great. Great food, good delivery time. Then, all of a sudden the delivery went to hell. This is the second, and last, time ordering from here where my food tool more than an hour to come. I ordered on grub hub and was notified when the food was out for delivery. I live 10 minutes away from them and the delivery guy took an hour to get here. I called the restaurant and on both occasions the person answering the phone (two different people) was unhelpful and obviously uninterested in the fact that I hadn’t received my food. My food came ice cold, fries soggy, hot chocolate was Luke warm. Never again.

I have ordered food from them a couple of times before without any complaints. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious. However, after ordering a cheese Danish from them and then discovering what appears to be mold inside (halfway through the pastry,) I am absolutely horrified and revolted. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again. God knows how old their pastries are.

Crispy is the best restaurant I been to 1 and a half years the food is great the people is nice the food always delivered hot and on time I recommend people to check it out I love there breakfast coffee and salads I hope this helps :-)

The food was really great the chicken quesadilla is my favorite I work in area so I always go to them for breakfast and lunch and the service is fast and clean and its reasonable price I hope this help

I recant my previous rating of 4-​stars. When this place first opened they were great but I’m less than impressed with how business is being run. I’m fed up with the atrocious customer service and delivery. Absolutely obnoxious for the delivery guy to beg for more money when you obviously have a bad attitude. When I finally gave in and offered him an extra tip, I told him thanks and have a nice day because I felt sorry for him, but to his rebuttal «Uh huh, yeah». TWICE I have gotten sick from eating here! I ordered a salad and asked for grilled chicken, a little shocked when it arrived with chicken deli meat instead. Next I ordered a vegetable burger, which used to be made with peas, carrots, etc. Instead, they gave me some kind of frozen stiff tofu patty that they heated on the grill for a bit.

It really shouldn’t take over an hour to deliver a quesadilla especially when you tip well… Kind of ridiculous

Really bad service. Ordered order came 2 hrs later and it was a block of ice. I called owner sounded like he didn’t even want to be their. On top of that owner sounded annoyed that I called him twice every hr to see why my order was not delivered yet, mind you this place is like 3 blocks away. Even delivery guy seemed lost. And the bag smelled. Am sorry but I usually never write reviews but I think am doing a public service by letting you know just skippp this one. Good luck !!

Yea, they lost their touch. Prices have become a little over zealous $ 2.25 for a 20 oz, $ 7 for all sandwiches, they rarely read orders correctly if I say add this don’t add that, send extra ketchup (two packets of ketchup is for like 6 fries, come on)
