This is a great place to grab hallal food! There fried fish is the best in the area. The pieces of chicken are large portions that look like pop eyes chicken. Comfortable seating arrangements. The food is fairly priced. I’m glad to taste Uncles’ fri chicken.

Bought 2 thighs and leg with fries. Fries were very good along with the remoulady sauce. There were problems with the chicken. The chicken and the breading lacked salt and any flavor, more salt is needed. I would suggest they brine the chicken, and add more spices/salt to breading. The crunch from the breading was good though.

3.5 stars Not located in the best part of Jamaica area,(there are some nice parts) looks a bit drabby, I would not walk around there at night. Anyway we were around the area in the afternoon, so I thought we’d get a few things to try since it had a perfect rating at the time… I didn’t try their fried chicken,(I should’ve) but if I’m ever in the area again I might. We got a medium fish bucket and a chicken gyro over rice to go. It’s a very conservative place… being that it is Muslim owned. There were 4 booths and 3 were occupied by either friends or family of the owner. Everyone was dressed in traditional clothing except for the few junior high/high school kids that came in after us. We were the only non-Muslims in there. The fried fish is lightly battered, not very crispy, but lots of fish. It’s a generous portion, but it could’ve used a lil seasoning. I would’ve liked it if it were fried a bit more with just a bit more batter cuz the fried fish kinda breaks apart when you lift it up. The secret sauce is definitely for the fish and they give plenty of it. It’s like a thousand island, mayo, garlic mix? The fish is somewhat plain without the sauce, but I kinda got tired of the sauce after a while. L really liked the chicken gyro over basmati rice, but they didnt have their own hot sauce, it came in a packet which is a huge let down. We love a good hot sauce, and using a packet is not an option. Im not a fan of Kennedy Fried Chicken, or any fast food fried chicken franchise, so I really should’ve tried the fried chicken from this place; I’ve also never had a freshly slaughtered chicken. It is really out of the way for us so I doubt I’ll return.

I used Unilocal to find this business. My BF and I walked in and the place is incredibly clean. We were greeted nicely and offered a sample of the fish fry with the spicy mayo sauce. It was so damn good !! We also got the 8piece chicken wings, a leg and thigh and fries. Everything was fresh and tasted that way, not over battered crispy and delicious. No more crown chicken for me.

Wow. Amazing. My husband and I were driving late one night wondering what to eat, when we drove past this place and I had my husband make a u-turn, because the interior was eye catching. We got the chicken sandwich which was really delicious and tasty. We had to go with fries obviously anytime we have a burger and they are not the typical fries you get from any restaurant. They were crunchier and more potato tasting if that makes sense. We also got to try fried chicken, fried fish and chili chicken courtesy of Uncle himself. And each item was so different(in a good way) than the usual CFC’s and Kennedy’s that speckle Jamaica. And I can’t forget about the sauce. It’s like a combination of all your favorite condiments rolled into one. Will definitely visit again!

Went there last night and hands down some of the best halal fried chicken places in NYC. There are a bunch of these KFC type fried chicken places along Hillside but this is the only one that I know that is 100% Zabiha hand slaughtered meat and you can taste the difference. Uncle’s recipes are unique to. It’s not that typical oily/fat fried chicken, it’s more like KFC and Popeyes. We got fried chicken, the fish bucket and some beef and chicken sandwhiches which were all quite good. The uncle sauce(like a really good spicy mayo type sauce) went well with everything, chicken, fish and sandwiches. We got to speak to the man uncle himself and he was a pretty cool guy. Good atmosphere, good food, good people and 100% halal.

I’m usually used to Kennedy and crown fried places. But this place owns them. Actual halal with nice seating arrangements in a decent area. And the food is phenomenal. The best halal fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. Would recommend to all Muslim fast food eaters as well as anyone who is hungry. These Muslims will satisfy your hunger guaranteed.

5 stars for this being 100% Zabihah and for their Fried Fish Strips with their«Secret Sauce»! I had the fried fish and fried chicken a few times. Chicken was crunchy and juicy which I prefer. Thankfully every piece I’ve had so far from Uncle’s hasn’t been over breaded to have a crunch to it. The fries are average/good. But the menu item I CRAVE and can’t get enough of is surprisingly the fried fish strips. I tried them when someone else ordered them and I’ve been getting the fried fish for myself since. Its not just the fish strips but the«secret sauce» that goes with them that is delicious. I think the sauce is suppose to go with chicken as well but I don’t think that’s needed. However the fish strips and secret sauce combo are SOGOOD. I could eat them a few times a week and be a happy person. I haven’t tried other items yet but was told the chicken gyro is really good!
