The staff at House of Pizza are very friendly and personable with their customers. Additionally they were accommodating when placing a time sensitive, and complicated order for w large group on short notice. Not only do they fair well in customer service but the food is very delicious and fairly priced. Definitely will be back.

Right on Narragansett Avenue in Jamestown, this little Pizza shop is a good place to pick up a quick lunch or dinner to go, or pull up a table and linger over your meal. Besides sandwiches, pizza and calzones, they offer seafood, burgers, salads, pastas and more. They even have a few vegetarian options. Check out their menu You can find ‘regulars’ here sipping on coffee reading the paper and you’ll often find local contractors in here for lunch. I usually grab a salad topped with tuna salad or a grinder for lunch. The staff are super friendly and my food is always as I ordered it. The prices are much better than some of the other places on the island which is a bonus too.

Just looking at the 1 or 2 star reviews; Rome wasnt built in a day people, if you want fast food go to McDonald’s. If you want bomb pizza shut up and wait. Its worth it. Just had margharita pizza and honestly believe its the best I ever had. Is it a fancy Michelin rated restaurant? No, but its not trying to be. I shall return, thanks!

Great sandwiches and a much better deal than the deli just down the street without mentioning them. Freddies is a bare bones pizza joint and nothing else. They dont have chip counter(potato chips or any kind of chip) Not much of and selection for beverages either. Just good olé pizza and sandwihes. Will try the pizza or calzone next time.

Ever the consistent, ever the delicious. There’s nothing more I want from the pizza here. I come back every time I’m around Jamestown. No reason to give only a 4 :)

It’s a suitable, but not fantastic, pizza joint that people come upon rather than travel to. It caters to all the locals since it’s on the island and the most props for this place go to the staff. While not the friendliest folks, they know their regulars and make them feel welcome. My sister and her fiancée, both vegans, bring their vegan, Daiya, alternative when they lived next door and they would happily replace their cheese, They often would charge a bit less or throw in a free drink because we were frequent customers. The inside is clean, but could use some updating and more comfortable seating. If you are in Jamestown and need a pie, head on over and they should suit you just fine.

My first time in. From North Kingstown, and had been showing out-of-state family around Jamestown and Newport. Since we had kids with us, we needed casual fare. I had a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was good, and the fries were really good. The kids and parent had pizzas and and they LOVED them. The cook/counter person was nice and courteous. Will definitely go back and recommend the place.

Tried their pepperoni pizza and really liked it. Crust had a nice crunch to it and the sauce, cheese and topping were fresh. Will definitely go back.

R U KIDDINGME? I was gonna do 4 Stars but I’m bumpin it up to level out the avg of what it SHOULDBE. My god, these peeps have never suffered San Francisco pizza… Small pepperoni and onion order it «well done» it’s crispy and it’s BOMB it’ll knock your socks off, guaranteed. Crispy awesome fries. Plain cheese is delicious, crust never slides down, cheese never slides off in one chunk(just use your incisors) and ummmm yeah. Always crispy and delicious. In fact, I want one now!

We visited the House of Pizza for the second time tonight.(The last time was over 2 years ago.) We will not return. First, the time between ordering and getting our food was WAYTOO long both times. The chicken parm sub I got the first time was decent — that is why I gave 2 stars. Tonight we ordered the Chicken Margarita pizza(sm. $ 9.95), a cheese pizza(lg $ 10.00) and a greek salad. The two pizzas were so similar as to be indistinguishable. The price difference was COMPLETELY unjustified. The crust was crisp like Greek pizza should be, but it was also overcooked, so one cancelled out any good of the other. The Greek dressing for the salad was pretty good, but the salad was made with iceberg lettuce and had so many bad pieces in it, I finally gave up eating it.

I went to House of Pizza while working in Jamestown so I could avoid the East Ferry Deli crowd. Not that they’re bad, just that in the summer that place is crowded and full of every tourist on the island. Do you like pizza with a thin dough and a crisp crust that is substantial but not too big? How about Chourizo? Do you like eggplant that is tasty, crispy, fried and not goopy? Do you like down to the earth servers and cooks who remember you and your order and are friendly? By the way, the waitress is a Pizza place server, you get your paper plates, pie on an aluminum pan and you grab your own drinks. The big menu is on the wall to help you decide if you’re in line. Call in your order if you want to have it waiting for you when you get there to sit down or take to go. If you’ve been there before they don’t expect you to pay until after your meal, otherwise cash out immediately. Are you a New Englander then you know how the local pizza place works and NE friendliness is. I love the simple tables especially the one that used to have the article about Jim Carrey and Me, Myself and Irene filming in Jamestown that was by the window that looked out on the sidewalk. By the way a great place to tourist watch. The Greek Salad is huge their Greek Dressing savory. Their grinders are delicious, traditional Rhode Island fare. I like that you can see the owner slide a pie into the oven and the canned drinks in the refrigerator. The Providence Phoenix isn’t always delivered on Wednesday(when is it in South County?) but they have it. Locals, the working men, kids out on vacation and tourists come in for lunch. And ever since Bomes’ Theater Restaurant went out of business(I so miss them,) there are fewer and fewer affordable casual places on the island. What SCite wants to cross the bridge for lunch? Rob is right that Via Via has good pizza. I don’t agree that JHOP doesn’t have good pizza. I like it, their atmosphere and their friendliness. I miss going there for lunch now.

This is not a good pizza place. Yes, its in a quaint little area on the main drag in JTN, but do not be fooled. If you have ever had«good» pizza, you will regret walking in the door of this place. Go to Via Via in Newport if you want pizza.
