It was a disaster visiting Petes recently. The young waitress wanted to seat my mother-in law and I in the bar for dinner. It was to loud for my 94YEAROLD mother-in law. We requested a 4 person booth but she insisted that we take 2 person booth. The booth she led us to was a DANGEROUS. One of the legs had a something to prop it up. We were dissatisfied and we will never go there again

Stopped here for breakfast and it was delicious! I had the Popeyes omelet and added feta, while my boyfriend had the veggie omelette and both were very good. They serve mimosas and the service was great. Hopefully we can come back and try the Greek cuisine soon!

Amazing Greek place in cute historic Jamestown! We got dinner here after a day in Yosemite. The Greek nachos were amazing, the lamb was cooked perfectly topped with feta, tzatziki, tomatoes and onions with pita bread. We got the mousaka and the New York steak which were both good. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious too!

Very good food and great service. I had the 108 Chicken sandwich with garlic fries and a side of ranch. The garlic fries were the perfect balance of potato and garlic and the ranch was homemade, thick and creamy. My friend had a Greek salad which was very good. You cannot go wrong with this place. We will be back and would like to try the breakfast. Everything was a great deal and prices were very reasonable.

Stopped by here with my girlfriend and some friends last night. This was my first experience with Greek food. We ordered the spanakopita as an appetizer. They were very well-prepared; not over-baked and moist. For dinner I had the lamb gyro with a side of sweet potato fries(They do burgers and fries as well. The description of the burgers were very tempting.). Ingredients were very fresh and the meat was tender. The service here was exceptional. Our server was prompt with getting our drinks and taking our orders and offered to take any empty plates when checking up on us. She was also very personable and friendly. All in all it was a good first experience and I would not hesitate to dine here again.

We went to Pete’s about a month ago, didn’t know anything about it, but figured we would try it out. The service was fast and very nice. We got our food very fast and not only did it look amazing the taste was out of this world!!! My husband just loved all the lamb. I had the chicken and it was AMAZING! We are actually planning on going in tonight as well. We got a gift certificate for Christmas!!! So excited for some beautiful and yummy food! Bring in the new year right!!!

Great spot on Main St. in historic Jamestown, Ca. Great breakfast! My personal breakfast favorite… the supreme Greek omelette with lamb, feta, peppers and olives… A gem worth of a restaurant discovering!

I traveled to Jamestown from North Carolina. I flew into Sacramento, drove to Jamestown. I was tired and hungry. I found Pete’s Family Restaurant. Sarah was my waitress. She was very friendly and knew the menu and explained it well. I ordered the lamb cutlets with garlic mashed potatoes. The presentation was excellent bit overshadowed by the taste of the food. It is now 6:30 am. I’m back at Pete’s for breakfast.

This is a fun, casual place with excellent food. My favorite in Jamestown. The menu offers a wide variety of items including many delicious Greek items. Try the Fish and Chips special on Fridays. The fish is cooked perfectly and they aren’t greasy at all. Their dressings and sauces definitely taste like they are made at the restaurant, not poured from a tub. Their Ranch is the good kind, not the chemical flavored bottled stuff. The gyros are our very favorite. You can find options on the menu for just about any diet too. Low carb, low fat, vegan, vegetarian, keto, etc. We have dined there with some friends with food restrictions and their requests for substitutions or off menu dishes were taken care of respectfully with no problem and they were so pleased. It’s also a great place to have an afternoon cup of coffee with their baklava they make there. As far as service goes, you feel like a guest in their home, not a table number. When they suggest things, it’s because they are proud and would love you to try it, not some scripted upsell to make more money. It’s very comfortable, clean and the décor has a lot of personality. There are so many charming touches, for example, big unmatching mugs just like you’d get if you stopped at a friends house for coffee. We even find the typos on the menu part of the charm. Prices are pretty reasonable but you can tell they don’t skimp on quality ingredients. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m glad they do.

Greek salad was amazing. Gyro, both lamb & chicken was very good. I wish I remembered where this place was. But Unilocal won’t let me get back to The restaurants Unilocal site.

Just had a yummy breakfast of biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage. Sausage was the best! Skillet is great and boosting with flavors. Next time we’re back we will try the pancakes and have more sausages.

Went to Pete’s in Jamestown for the first time. Will definitely be going back! We took my in-laws, and my father in law is Greek so I was hoping it was as good as everyone says. Great food, great service(although we were the only people in there surprisingly). We had the dolmas(grape leaves) and calamari appetizers to start. I had the chicken gyro, my son had a bacon burger and everyone else had the lamb gyro. We finished a few orders of the baklava. All excellent.(We ate the apps and dessert too fast to take a pic)

I luv bacon. And I know there are many of you out there who would do a kumbaya to bacon right by my side. So, how do you ruin a perfectly good BLT anyway? Well, let’s see. Put a couple of flaccid pieces of day-old cooked, flavorless, still cold bacon on some non-descript bread, add thinly sliced, slighty tastier than cardboard tomato and lettuce, then slather the bread with mayo that has been spiked with mustard? No… no…no…NO…NO! Well, at least, that is what they served me. Just sayin’, forced myself to eat half, the remainder took a flying leap into the dumpster. Possibly one of the worst BLTs ever. I would have been still starving if it weren’t for the little cup of chicken lemon rice soup. That tasted decent. Wish it had some recognizable chunks of chicken, however. The Reuben was slightly better, nothing wrong with it, but Mr. B declared he has had better. This one was made with thicker sliced, lean meat; he likes a thinner slice. And he announced he has had better kraut. So, neither of us were too happy… kinda like star crossed lovers… t’was not meant to be. In my dreams…

Delicious moussaka: flavorful and authentic. The eggplant veggie dish was fresh and full of flavor. The owner/chef even came out and talked to us. He takes great pride in his cooking and it shows. Great prices. This place is a treasure in Jamestown. Definitely worth the trip.

Very good place for lunch and dinner, the family knows how to put together a awesome meal. We had Dolmas and there is nothing like it anywhere, absolutely the best. Pete is a wonderful person and his wife and son make the dining experience like you are in Greece, try this place, fantastic wines from Greece.

I recently spent an evening in Jamestown, staying at the Carriage House Inn. While they offer a «free breakfast», it sadly isn’t worth the price(unless you have a bunch of kids with you, as it’s all kids junk breakfast«stuff»). So I walked across Main Street early on Sunday morning and sat down at Pete’s. Within a minute I had a large cup of coffee in front of me, along with an OJ. After perusing the menu, I asked if I get get their omelet, but reduced portion — NOT a problem. So I went that route, explained how I wanted it cooked, and about ten minutes later, had what can only be described as a perfect omelet in front of me — WITH a selection of hot sauces to go with it. NICE! Can’t comment on their lunch/dinner menu — but for an early breakfast, this place rocks!

New favorite lunch place for sure — service is awesome, clean, fresh food. Great prices. m, easy parking. The Rueben was cooked perfectly. My husband’s BLT was delicious and the bacon was crisp. Everything came out in a timely manner and we can’t wait to go back!

Disappointing. My water glass had greenish-black scum around half the rim. The sweet potato fries seemed unfresh(not at all crisp, and not sweet which happens with old sweet potatoes). The other food we had rated a solid 3 stars: chicken strips(which the kids enjoyed), a bacon cheddar burger, Reuben, ET eggplant tomato mozzarella. It took way longer than we expected for our food to come out(at 1:30ish, the restaurant was maybe only half full) But the dirty water glass is the deal-killer for me — I mean, there were multiple opportunities for staff to detect the problem before it got to me(unloading the dishwasher, pulling the glass from the storage shelf, pouring the water, setting the glass in front of me). YUCK.

Our server D, was D-lightful. Homemade moussaka. Juicy primerib melts in your mouth. Best $ 10 meals in Gold Country. Pete, the chef is great. Ended with Banana Foster, enough to feed four but our friend Tim refuse to share. Can’t wait to try breakfast this Sunday.
