Dinner at Talulah’s last night before the theater. We told the wait staff that we needed to be out in time for show. Bo promptly took our order, brought us cups of scrumptious, seafood soup and bread. As soon as our soup was finished our entrees arrived. They never disappoint! The blackened snapper was a hit and my husband’s gluten free, boneless pork ribs were just right.

My fiancé and I were in town and decided to go to this place on a Wednesday night. We started with the Danish Brie, which was delicious. The maple syrup, Brie, and crostini combination was to die for. We each had the bay scallop and prawns over linguine. The sauce was creamy, garlicky, and very rich, and the prawns and scallops were cooked impeccably. We were only disappointed that it was Lent, as we had both given up sweets and alcohol. We would have loved to tried the suggested pairings! To top it all off, there was great service. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

A most satisfying meal from soup to dessert. My waiter, Beau, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. A perfect«casual fine dining» experience. Will stop by every time I come to Sonora.

Every time we come to Sonora we eat at Talulah’s. I love the meatball sandwich and the paninis. I highly recommend it. Very polite and kind servers also.

Great food been back a couple of times for lunch. Good services even when the place is crowded. My favorite dish is the shrimp salad. Only minus is it’s not open on Monday.

Went in for a quick lunch, service was fantastic, art on the walls was beautiful, the house Balsamic was delicious, the bread with the special touches of toasted garlic and oil was yummy and our sandwich was also amazing, even their potatoes that are baked instead of fried are just outta this world. We loved it– such special touches make a huge difference to a foody and a cook like myself! Oh and the music was nice too… Go enjoy a special meal, I will be going back soon:))

I could make a meal just eating the bread and flavored oil they serve. It’s so good. Have always been pleased with our meals here. It’s a beautiful place and the floral paintings on the wall are breathtaking.

Not really the type of typical restaurant I like. It’s probably the fancy nicest restaurant in the area. I kind of felt like I wasn’t going to like it. They have a pretty decent menu and the food is really good. This place seems to get packed really fast

Had lunch at Talulah’s in Sonora today. Lovely lunch, clean environment, and good food. The service was excellent and accommodating. Reasonably priced(2 people = $ 30 for entrée & drink) also. Recommended.

The Man wanted to take me out for my Birthday today so we decided to give Talulah’s a try and it did not disappoint! We did not have reservations, just happened to show up at the perfect time and were seated right away. It is a charming little place with beautiful art pieces on the walls. Made me instantly comfortable! We had shrimp cocktails as an appetizer, which were tasty with a nice tangy sauce. As an Entrée I ordered the Sirloin(comes with vegetables and mashed potatoes) and the Man ordered the Talulah’s Linguine. My meat was cooked perfectly(medium rare) and had great flavor. The mashed potatoes were delicious and well seasoned(I usually have to add salt to my food but it was not necessary here). The vegetables(carrots and zucchini) were nice and tender but not floopy(Some places cook their veggies to death!) The Linguine were almost demolished. He tried. He really did. It was a very generous portion, so he took the rest home. Omg and we had brownie sundae for desert. Damn. Decadent, delicious! We shared one but I should have had one of my own! Curses! All in all a great dining experience with amazing service(thanks Heather!) and delicious food!

My husband and I are in town for a few days from San Jose, Ca. We had decided earlier in the day that we were going to Talulah’s for dinner. I am SOGLAD we did! This place is fabulous. I ordered the Gorgonzola Stuffed Chicken Breast and my husband ordered the New York Steak. Both entrees were served with Mashed Potatoes & Sauteed Veggies. We were so happy with our choices. When it came to dessert, our waitress highly recommended the Italian Crème Cake and she was right. That cake is so light, moist and crazy delicious! The ambiance is quaint, the service was superb and food… well it was magnificent! I highly recommend Talulah’s!!! Mike and Mindy Barden San Jose, Ca

Sonora seems to be hurting for really good restaurants. This one was recommended by our inn keeper as one of the better places in town. Unfortunately, I delayed writing this review, and regrettably too much time has passed for a really good, detailed review. I will give you the bare bones of our impressions. The interior is charming. Cute, with high ceilings made of pressed tin. The tomato bisque was ok, but was not as expected. It actually was tomato soup similar in consistency to a marinara sauce. Boring. I would not call this a bisque, and I would not order this again. Mr. B’s Shrimp Fettuccine was good. Plenty of tender shrimp in a decent sauce. He did enjoy this. My Mac ‘n Cheese«meal» was actually listed as a side on the menu. It was a quite rich, creamy sauce using a mild cheddar and herbs. It was baked in a single serving casserole dish so the parmesan crumb topping became crusty, something I did like. However, their recipe was overly seasoned with herbs, and the sauce was missing a cheddary tang to it. I had no desire to finish it. We received a hot brownie sundae to share, complimentary from our inn. It was pretty good tasting but too sweet for me. Be your own judge.

I took my fiancé here for his birthday and was pleasantly surprised. Our server was Hanna and she was such a sweet cute girl! Very attentive, nice, and excellent service. The food was amazing! We had the Brie appetizer, I had the pumpkin squash ravioli special and my fiancé had the ribs. Everything was delicious. We had the brownie Sunday for dessert and that was incredible too! Everything from the service to the drinks to the food was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Talulah’s is one of the places that I recommend business associates when they come to town. For either lunch or dinner they are great(although not a quick lunch). They have multiple sandwiches and salads during lunch, including the Big Cheese… macaroni and cheese in my grilled cheese, yes please!

Great stuff! The ingredients were very fresh and the food itself was delicious. My family went together and we had the Mac and cheese(with actual cheese), two meatball sandwiches, a grilled chicken sandwich, pesto fettuccine, a Talulah Too(think that’s how it’s spelled) sandwich, and a pulled pork sandwich. Don’t let the short menu discourage you because what they do have is good. The starter bread is delicious(garlic and herbs with oil), and the soup and salad were fresh. My pesto fettuccine was flavorful yet not overpowering and I took a bite of the pulled pork sandwich much had a nice citrus twang. Everyone loved what they had, no complaints, and each meal was a reasonable $ 10-$ 12 each for great portions. Will be back next time I’m in town.

Ate here for the first time with a couple of friends a few nights ago. I had seen some reviewers complain about the seating issue, so we made sure to have a reservation(just to be safe). It was well worth it! The place was busy and we were able to be seated quickly. I got the fettuccine with creamy pesto and it was delicious! The portion was far bigger than I had expected it to be and after the bread and olive oil and the salad, I hardly had room to eat the actual dinner! Very yummy though! Overall, glad I went(:

In town for a wedding and saw this place on the ol Unilocal. Great food at great prices! I had the steak with grilled veggies. The steak was made to order and car out perfect. I have a dairy allergy, so our waitress was nice and accommodating to it. I got grilled veggies as a side and they were tasty and coked perfectly. This place gets busy so make reservations. I would of liked to see a few more options on the menu, but this far away from home I was satisfied.

I had the ravioli sampler… all the ravioli’s were superb. The red sauce tasted all right, but that white sauce… THATWHITESAUCE. I was honestly afraid to hand my dish to the server because I wanted to pack my leftovers myself just to make sure every drop was in there.(I didn’t! She did a great job). My husband got the steak and enjoyed it. We all tried a bite and what I noticed immediately is that it had a bit of a crisp to the outside, like a nice little shell. I may not be describing it well, but it was very pleasing texturally. I was the only one without mashed potatoes — my parents and my husband loved them, though, and let me sneak a bite. Mmm! They definitely taste home made. My mother got the boneless bbq ribs. It’s the perfect option for someone like my mom, who loves ribs but hates to get messy in public. She couldn’t wait to get the leftovers. I loved the nibble she gave me. My Dad got the chicken — I thought it was pretty good — he thought it was great! And that bread… does anyone need to say anymore about the bread? Bring a mint and dig in. I will say the one thing that seemed to disappoint was the soup/salad. My husband liked his salad, but my Dad wasn’t feeling it. My Mom and I both thought our clam chower tasted more like a potato soup with clams in it. Perhaps we’re spoiled, having had some good clam chowder from Monterey in SF… but honestly, I think it just was«eh.» That shouldn’t take away much from this restaurant, though. I will definitely ask to go back the next time I visit my parents!

Oh my goodness!!! Fantastic service and absolutely delicious food. The atmosphere is kind of «business casual» — I felt just a little underdressed in a t-shirt and shorts(although nobody treated me poorly or looked down on me at all). My husband ordered the linguine and loved it. I ate the ravioli sampler and was in heaven. It was beyond amazing. My son had the meatloaf and said he would not order it again; it wasn’t bad, but also wasn’t amazing. Speaking of amazing, the bread and salad were delectable. Fantastic service, even with a full house. Total cost, with two glasses of wine and including our tip was $ 85($ 69 without tip).
