Great restaurant… The bartender Jeff makes excellent Martini’s.Have never had a meal I did not like there. The lamb chops are excellent and the thick cut bacon. nice atmosphere. I have brought numerous friends there and now they go without me. lol

I came here with my friend Saturday night. It was’t that busy. We had the tai calamari and the mozzarella caprese. Both were delicious. My main course was filet mignon medallions. And my friend had the chicken with sausages. Very nice atmosphere and quiet. I would definitely come back.

Let me first say that these are the same owners of Manero’s Steakhouse that used to be in Syosset. Any individual who used to come here one or two times a week would obviously know that by the wait staff and the amazing food. I’ll break the review into Food, Atmosphere, and Service. The Food: I recommend the lump crab meat for an appetizer since it has always been my favorite since day one. The honey dijon mustard they put with it is absolutely phenomenal. The rest of my patrons has the Oysters Rockefeller and Raw — Both Amazing. As for drinks, I did my Jack and Coke — little ice as usual — strong enough with still the taste of coke. Main Course: I had the Cowboy Ribeye Steak medium rare with Crispy Onion Strings on top dipped in their old fashioned Au-jus gravy(Which you must call in advance for). My patrons had the Porthouse for 2. All cooked to perfection of course. I had creamed spinach and mashed potatoes — always good! I usually do the Prime Rib, however you now must call a few days in advance so they could buy the meat and make it for you! Dessert: We ordered 2 Vanilla Duos which consist of Crème Brulee & a piece of New York Style Cheesecake. Both mouth watering and devoured. I finished the meal off with the dessert liquor — Toasted Almond. For anyone who likes a sweet cold liquor — this has absolutely been one of the best made drinks I have had in awhile. You will not regret it — and if you do — then you shouldn’t be allowed to drink. Atmosphere: The outside of the building was nicely lit. It definitely has a Vintage look, hence the name. The inside was dimmed down a bit for a nice romantic — once again vintage look. The walls were well painted and the curtains by the windows were very well matched. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Service: Our waiter was attentive for the most part and if he wasn’t — someone else was around. The hostess was very polite and showed a smile which is always a good thing. Our waters were always filled and our plates were always removed quickly for the next course. No complaints. In the end — Vintage is the place to go. Reservations are needed on Friday and Saturday. Book it, go, eat, and then tell me how right I am!

Consistently good food and service. My wife and I have eaten here a couple of times and the menu really doesn’t change but the base menu is very good. We always look for interesting specials of the night. Only complaint is the music tends to be somewhat loud every time we go. Overall, nice dinner, good prices…

4.5STARS I dined here with our dining group on Friday, 11÷6÷15. Vintage exceeded my expectations but let me get«the bad» out of the way first. They had a single valet parker serving a full restaurant and it did not work well. Many cars were backed up and kept running for inordinate amounts of time, prompting several of my companions to retrieve their cars before sitiing down. They should fix this issue. Service was also not great. We had to sit a half hour before our order was taken. BUT…the food was good enough to cover a multitude of sins. Members loved the chicken, salmon and breaded Milanese Pork lamb chops were fresh, delicious and cooked perfectly medium as requested. One of my companions had the Filet Mignon, perfectly cooked to medium rare. It was very tender and incredibly tasty. My Burrata and Prosciutto appetizer was very good but the Bacon with Sweet Potato Purée appetizer blew me away, a scrumptious slab of pork belly. Desserts were not as good as the appetizers and mains. My Pumpkin Cheesecake was more«pumpkin pie-ish» than companions loved the crème brûlée and apple cobbler, however. Finally, if you want a romantic date with someone you care about(think Valentine’s Day) I would choose the dark portion of the restaurant near the bar. The décor there is nice and it is a little quieter than the main dining room, which was loud but did not deter conversations at normal volume. My group enjoyed Vintage Bar and Grill during LI Restaurant Week. The food was so good that we would not hesitate to return and«pay retail».

We went during restaurant week on a Tuesday night. We nice and elegant looking Place with a small bar and two split rooms. They had open table and we were sat immediately. Food was delicious, but the service was slow. Waitstaff looked young and we still enjoyed ourselves.

First time here — Friday 8pm dinner reservation. For a seemingly«upscale» restaurant I expected at least average service and instead received the WORSTSERVICE in recent history. Our waiter was completely inattentive and didn’t even introduce himself to our table. His first interaction with us was literally 20 minutes after we were seated and from a few feet away shouts, regular or sparkling water? He was either MIA or running around for another table for the entire time we were there. Drinks took forever to get. I accidentally spilled an entire glass of red wine on the table as soon as I got it and after a few minutes asked the hostess to move us to another table after her and the waiter passed us several times after! Then it took forever to get another glass of wine. Ugh! Food was decent but would never go back again.

Zero stars! Terrible waiter service. He took forever to take our orders and never checked back with us to see if we needed anything else throughout the night. We had to continuously flag him down. The Thai calamari appetizer was rubbery. They completely forgot to bring out one of our salad appetizers. Entrees were average at best. I’m an eater and I left half my plate. Will not return and neither should you.

Last night I invited friends to this restaurant. We got there at seven and were immediately shocked by the rudeness of the host. Seating choice was either by the entrance or close to the kitchen and bathroom. The waiter was unshaven and had a dirty uniform on and he was the only waiter for the entire restaurant apparently. He did not know one thing about being a waiter and how to serve anything! Drinks took forever to arrive and restaurants acoustics were very poor! Cannot hear yourself talk. We ordered 18 Oysters asked if they were blue point and fresh waiter replied yes however Oysters were disappointing ! Ordered steaks, octopus, lamb chops and fish those were great!!! Dessert was good too! Waiter was literally throwing the dishes on the table reaching across to serve and bumped into the back of our chairs and pushed us in with his stomach in order to pass and serve! I spent 465 dollars and all I can say is I would never go back!!! The worst dinning experience ever!!!

We just had a birthday dinner celebration for my mom, for 17 people, in the private back room in the back at Vintage. It was a Saturday night, and the rest of the restaurant was busy, so I knew it would not be easy for the kitchen to serve a group of 17. But the kitchen and the servers did a great job. And the food was outstanding. We created a pre-set menu but there were plenty of choices — 4 apps to choose from and 5 entrees to choose from. Started off with Thai Calamari and fried fresh mozzarella to pass around the table — both were crowd pleaserss. The appetizers were well liked, especially the Peking duck tacos, the Angry Spaghetti and the Pear Salad. And the entrees were also a big hit — the huge and tasty Cowboy rib-eye steak, the lamb chops and the salmon were among the favorites. Food came out hot, and everyone was pretty much served at the same time. We served red and white wine, and the servers were quick to fill empty glasses. Special thanks to servers Adrian and Jose for their attentiveness. And manager Victoria was very gracious and accommodating. Again, it is not easy to serve 17 for dinner, but they did a very nice job under those circumstances. Nothing negative to say about the experience. Based on our experience, we’d happily go back for a «regular» dinner there.

Food and drinks were OK for what you pay for. Raw oysters and Rockefeller style oysters are really good. The steak was average. Nothing special about all the other food. It was worth it during happy hr for discounted drinks and appetizers. Service was great and servers were very attentive.

We have dined here a few times. The food was good but the restaurant lacked in service. Apparently our order was misplaced and instead of coming to the table to acknowledge this we had to ask repeatedly where our food was. The server did not ensure that we had drinks. To finalize our experience as soon as we put down our forks the table was cleared and the check was on the table…

Fantastic dinner! Everything from the apps to the huge steaks, Vintage really does it right! Look forward to going back for those duck tacos and perfectly cooked filet. Better than Lugers!!!

The décor is neat, but I’m not one to care about that. I look for great food and I always get it when I go here. Rib Eye is fantastic there(get it with the garganzola crust) and their lobster mac and cheese is just the right amount of cheese– not too much. I can actually taste the lobster, which many places fail to do. My cousin had the strip steak with the fried onions which was just as good. Thank you for not making the fried onions greasy!

We went here for New Year’s Eve dinner. It was good, but did not wow me. I had the salad with roasted pear. Salad was very good. Then I ordered the half order of ravioli for dinner. I asked the waiter if he thought the salad and the half order of ravioli would be enough food and he said yes… well I definitely would have ordered the full order if I knew the half order only had 3 ravioli! They were good, but I thought there would be mushroom inside, but it seemed like it was only cheese on the inside. My husband had the special, which was a seafood of some sort. Portion was a little small for the price. I also got two drinks, the Hawaiian punch, which was not on the menu but was online. The drinks were not even filled up to the top! There was like an inch at the top — I mean for $ 14/each you would think they would at least fill up my drink to the top! Our waiter was really unfriendly, no personality, which was too bad bc it looked like the waiters at the other tables near us were really friendly and upbeat. A lot of times I feel like a nice, friendly waiter can really make your experience better! Overall, I’m not sure I would go back. Between the skimping on the drinks and the small portion… we spent almost $ 200 and I didn’t leave feeling satisfied. We both got dessert too which was ehh, ok. Too bad because I live in the area and really like to find local restaurants!

WAYTOOLOUD. We couldn’t hear each other or our waiter but… The food was fantastic, the bread was delicious and warm. I ordered the crab cocktail(HUGE chunks of crab, I couldn’t finish it) followed by the scallops with cauliflower purée and shitake mushrooms. Hubby had the grilled octopus followed by the cowboy steak. Everything was perfect. The service was on point. I love this place, we will definitely be back.

When I last wrote about my experience at Vintage Bar and Grill I was sure that with time it would become a destination — a «grownup» restaurant that would compete with Long Island’s best. Unfortunately, my most recent meal there showed that the restaurant is going in the opposite direction and I can no longer consider it «adult». No longer suitable for a business dinner or an important occasion. The food is still great — maybe the best basic steakhouse around. The porterhouse for two was perfect, absolutely delicious, and we loved our starters and sides. So what is the problem? It’s the twelve year olds that greet you and supposedly manage the floor. I understand that with an 8:30 reservation on a Saturday night there can be a delay. What I object to is a staff that ridiculed my wife when she asked if our wait would be more than 30 minutes. Oh no, just a few minutes as they rolled their eyes. Forty five minutes later our table was being readied for us. The manager blamed it on other diners«overstaying» their allotted time. Truthfully, if the staff can’t do a better job of managing the room they should be replaced.
